Do you have any plans to return to the United States?

I hope to go there at the end of November and stay until the end of next January!!

What part of the USA do you plan to visit?

I hope that you are in the warmer part of the USA during that part of the year.

Also, does Spain and the southern France have a similar climate and topography to California?

I am going back to Santa Barbara - I really liked it.

I have a film (not yet posted) where I compare the vegetation to that of southern France which is very similar..

California was much better than I expected and if I stay longer I hope I may be able to get involved with things that interest me such as nature preservation as well as my usual historical interests!

What is your impression of California freeways versus European motorways and autobahns? Is it easier to drive in the USA or Europe?

I remember that you were waiting.

In the USA there are far more exits from motorways although this does not seem to slow things down. Lane driving as opposed to driving on the inside lane takes some getting used to but it seems to work.

American drivers are better than European drivers (except maybe British and Irish) and show more respect.

Difficult to say where it is easier to drive - I will have to think about this.

It seems that you have enjoyed your trip to the USA. I like hearing from Europeans and their impressions of the USA. Also, what do you mean by lane driving?

I know that Europe is ahead of the USA in food preparation. What is your impression of American food?

Lane driving is where you stay in the same lane all the time.

I think the food is great!!
