  • June 2012 I believe for new album

  • Can anyone tell me when there new album is supposed to come out? I know it's supposed to be this year.

  • I've seen them live three times now and have no plans stopping as long as they keep coming to Michigan!

  • I saw these guys LIVE at Ichthus and they are so memorable. I define them as "pure fun." But don't discount the musical talent. Flatfoot 56 is a must-see experience

  • 3 dislikes to Amazing Grace?!?!?! Surely they are deaf and could not appreciate the amazingness!

  • @lilred0311 even the deaf enjoy amazing grace

  • its soooooooo boring up until the 50 second mark then its awwwwwwwwwwesome

  • @musiccrazy384 its showing there celtic pride mate, ya best bugger off with remarks like that.

  • Beautiful piping-can't wait to see them live this thursday 11/17 at ottobar in baltimore!!

  • All RIGHT!!

  • i love how you mix up all the old songs :) love you guys!!!!!!!

  • The Bagpipes are music to my ears

  • This was my great grandmother's favorite song.

  • Saw them at Alive festival this year. One word: EPIC!

  • I WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • realize that the solice that you enjoy with your faith actually comes at a terrible price for the rest of us...

  • I've never heard them before and then I saw them at Soulfest! It was so great!:D

  • *Put your arm around the person next to you, C'mon dont be afraid.. This is a GREAT chance for some of you ugly guys" :) I loveed this show

  • @Godsgirl1996nov it was indeed a great show. Loved how they told us to be peaceful, then start the circles up again.

  • FUCK! SO GOOOOOOOOOODHUSDFBHDGZUIHFGUIG&FERZWE RYERH EIRERERHEUI UIREHURE

  • these guys are actually from california, they just sing in scottish accents

  • @V1nz0rd lol, no.. theyre not from california.

  • @radioheadradio sorrry, america. I just meant that theyre not scottish

  • @V1nz0rd They're from Chicago actually. And they are scottish-american.

  • these guys are from the southside of chicago and they are great at what they do... amazing people and great musicians... wen i do go up to boston later this month, i would jus love to runinto the flyingscott and jus show him a chicago ass whoopin for bashing this band. he talks about immaturity?! bashing a band because he probably is on the virge of suicide, LETS ALL HOPE HE SUCCEEDS. i guess thye are doing something right for pieces of shit to hate on them. keep doin your things boys!!!

  • @TheFlyingScott Dude chill out. Your opinion is your own God given right, you don't have to go all out and disrespect a band like Flatfoot 56, it's my first time listening to them and they are pretty badass. Also, I don't resort to name calling, but 5Cdarkwing was right in calling you a douche bag for the simple reason that anyone who goes on a YouTube video just to bash a band can be only, by definition, a douche bag, oh and you should really get rid of that trolling habit.

  • Just saw these guys at Lifest in Oshkosh, WI :) AMAZING!

  • Like this if you saw them at summerfest in Milwaukee wi this year

  • Three of my favorite punk bands flogging molly, dropkick murphy's and FLATFOOT 56!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ERIN GO BRAGH

  • Comment removed

  • trying to sound like the dropkick murphys..

  • this was awesome at summerfest tonight.......great band. great time....

    FLATFOOT 56!!!!!

  • thumbs up if you are from Dixon, and know who these guys really are =D

  • @theflyingscott100

Constructive criticism is good, and tends to be well received. Openly bashing a band, not so well received. Not too hard to figure out .

  • the lead singer is a substitute teacher who subs a lot at my school. He subbed for my band class today so i got to talk to him for a while. Hes a pretty cool guy.

  • @TheFlyingScott100 keep on trolling man

  • @JesseGonzalas its not an irish accent! where are you from? I'm from outside of boston and not even a southie accent sounds close to that. its just a generic punk voice done poorly. the gaslight anthem is an example of it done right. it actually sounds like singing! imagine that!

poor bagpipe playing+average rock+NOT irish accent+ crappy voice= awful celtic rock that should be banned and scorned by all who appreciate good music and their own sanity.

  • @TheFlyingScott100 DoucheBag!

  • @5Cdarkwing so because i disagree on a song and actually analyse it i'm labeled as a "DoucheBag"...yah thats real mature. I thought that the we passed the age where we name called and instead had intelligent discussions... or maybe you haven't

  • @TheFlyingScott100 whatever douchbag !

  • @JesseGonzalas agreed

  • @JesseGonzalas you call that an irish accent?! where are you from? Have you ever met a true irishman before? Listen to Flogging Molly if you want to hear a real irish accent.

  • as a bagpiper i hate this song. the guy flippin can't tune his pipes and he makes a crapload of mistakes even in a studio recording. I listen to celtic punk rock all the time and these guys suck! The guys voice is not even close to being melodic. i wish i could say something nice but it sucks!

  • @TheFlyingScott100 good thing your just a bagpiper so your opinion doesnt matter

  • @friendlyfellow1 as someone who plays the bagpipes, i have a vested intrest in promoting good bagpiping. the reason bagpipes are often equated with squaling cats is because of bagpipers who don't really know what they are doing.

  • even if you arren't christian, this song is still great. everyone loves gospel. it's in your roots.

  • bagpipes+rock=heaven

  • These guys r christian, ridog100, these guys are christian

  • PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD PRAISE GOD!

  • @Asweezy411 Praise occult delusions that kill millions of innocent people every year.

  • @NotSoOldHippy God doesn't kill anyone... that's Satan that kills... God is Satan's enemy... God is not to blame for bad things that happen... God is the good guy, Satan is the bad guy... if you want to see something that kills millions of innocent people; look at Satan's temptations towards drugs and violence... God doesn't put drugs, gangs, violence, murder, evil, and lies on us; but Satan does... you need some Truth in your life... God is the Answer, Jesus is the Way and the Truth...

  • @NotSoOldHippy - Oh? Who does it kill, and how? What are you talking about?

  • This was so awesome on Felvo Festival last summer!!!!!!

  • Anyone else not give a fuck whether or not they're Christian?

  • 3 people missed te like button...how sad :(

  • @RTilly12 there not Christians

  • I actually like Amazing Grace when it's "souped up". A fabulous song. And I think that God probably likes it, too, no matter how it's played.

  • @bigbadbarb - Indeed. Worship is worship. Baptists will tell you how to worship in church, sure, but if God wanted everyone to worship the same, would he have made us so unique?

  • Oi! Oi! Oi!!!!!!!!!

  • i LOVE this. our youth pastor plays this all the time. brings good memories.

  • who could vote down on this... fuck you! the three people who voted down on this! fuck you!!!

  • @mrmackish well thats a perfectly logical reaction to a Christian song and band video...

  • i will pee my self if i ever get the opportunity to see them live. if i met them personally. i would poop my self. just being honest

  • @eazyeb I met those guys at Flevo Festival in holland, They where playing the roof down, and after the show I stayed with a few guys while they where putting away there stuff and we talked with them for a bit that was freaking awsome (:

  • @2wolf Haha they were the only ones that had a wall of death ! .

    Great Band OiOiOi

  • chido! : cool!

  • awesome

  • 1 word "Sick!"

  • I love Dropkick, but I have to admit this version is just better than theirs...lol

  • I think this is the greatest song ever! And just in response to the other posts, history is full of ppl doing wrong stuff and religion is sometimes part of it, but really its just what humans do; sin! So that just makes the message of this song even better!

  • It' like Hardocre, Mixed with Oi!, and Celtic Punk!!!! Great I love it!

  • Gotta love it, IRISH PRIDE!

  • =I think it's sad that people can hate a band cause of the band's religion. -.-

  • you know i had respect until i found out they were christian.

  • @skinheadboy1 Atheist pride to ya, but I don't care that they're Christian, when I first saw them it was at a skinhead show and they were playing with The Business

  • @MrJotSpew <3 the business

  • @skinheadboy1 And people claim Christians are closed-minded.

  • @ShadoClone yes yes they do :) thanks for pointing that out

  • @ShadoClone i think religion should be barred from all musical genres. its religion. not music. the two things one should never mix with pleasure is politics and religion. closed-minded? no. just common sense my friend.

  • @gamerguy666xxx To that I would say what I believe Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and LeeMarie Hostetter of Children 18:3 say: Being a Christian affects every part of your life. You don't make "Christian music". You just make music and it reflects what you are. Like LeeMarie says, if you're a plumber who believes in Christianity, does that make you a Christian plumber or your work a Christian toilet or Christian sink? No. "Christian" music is just a label people put on music to defend their dumb view

  • @ShadoClone i believe some would say you're a plummer who believes in holy shit? LOL

  • @gamerguy666xxx I think you should study some music history. If it wasn't for religion, music would never be what it is today. Two things you should never mix is opening your mouth and ignorance.

  • @rawrquel the problem with thinking things over too much is they tend to get watered down in your tiny brain. next time, you may not wanna try so hard. im def not ignorant and i know my history well. well enough to know religion has destroyed many a culture time and time again and tries to justify it by using god as a base. dont speak to me like you know me. its clear you dont. you are right. ignorance and opening your mouth doesnt work for you

  • @gamerguy666xxx You do realize the insane amount of hypocrisy in what you just said, right? What are you in 8th grade with your "You don't know me." bull? You're on the internet. I don't have to know you to correct you, and I wasn't arguing/defending religion; I was stating a fact. That has nothing to do with ignorance and doesn't require me to know who you are. It's now quite clear to me, though, that you have a sense of elitism that keeps you from having a real discussion with people.

  • @rawrquel failed to see hypocrisy in his comment. Try harder please.

  • @LoveRisingx3 damn right. no hypocrisy. how is it hypocritical to have an opinion? lol riiiight

  • @gamerguy666xxx Well, the hypocrisy was you saying basically "You can't call me ignorant because you don't know me!", and then calling him ignorant.

People get joy from their religion, and there's no reason why it can't be combined with music. I think you're angry because you want to appreciate this truly talented band but you can't see past your blind hate for all things christian. (And i say christians b/c, let's be honest, you wouldn't care if this band were buddhist or hindu)

  • @rawrquel no i dont. and again what you THINK and what you KNOW. 2 different things. you have your opinion and i have mine. i have no sense of elitism as i was not the one flaming. i did what the comment boards are for, giving your comments and opinions. i think this discussion is going quite well. considering im numb to the fact you are trying to instigate and sound like an elitist prick whilst pointing your finger my way. you enjoy that. i often have real discussions with people. :D

  • @rawrquel and again ive studied musical history. none of it has anything to do with religion or politics as most band like flatfoot are a political. lets be real shall we? music is simply an account of peoples lives, emotions, feelings, and some of history. but not all is rooted around religion. to think so is foolish

  • @ShadoClone alot of them are. those people give christians a bad name.

  • Prachtig

  • Jesus just HAD to poke his nose into the comments and ruin it all. Love the song. Played with so much love and heart.

  • its odd thinking there christian plus add there isrish rock makes it even weirder

  • @vidmasterx7 how is that odd lol

  • @somewaffles001 it just is i saw them at spirit west coast they were really weird every 1 moshing at amazing grace dude trust me

  • WOAH! Great cover!

Been hoping to hear bagpipes again :D

  • bagpipes are so haunting.

    but so gorgeous. :)

  • lol! First it was sooo boring then the punk rock part came and it really startled me.

  • thw beginning makes me want to cry..they play the bagpipe version at soldiers funerals and..its just sad....but this is an amazing song!!! kickass!

  • cant really hear the lyrics in the dropkick version but i still prefer the dropkicks

  • I like this version better than Drop Kicks!!!

  • @CyberPunk1138: They're actually pretty different, dude.

  • @BraveEarth. No, it's CELTIC Punk. Scottish themed but Celtic none the less.

  • @kyvikz I dont understan Why Celtic? that means pagan; it Should be Folkpunk...

  • @lastimeschronicles Celtic doesnt mean pagan it describes a certain old group of ppl who spoke Celtic languages most settled in the British Isle ie ireland / scotland it's history not paganism

  • I loved it. does anybody know if these guys are christian or did they just do a christian song once.

  • There are absolutely Christian. And they are great

  • C'est moi!! HahahaahHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAaaaaAHAHAHAHAHAHAaAHhHHAHAHAhHAAHhaHAAHahhAhAhAhAhAHAhhaHahAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Cant wait to see them on Sunday!!! =D

  • saweet

  • on our mission trip, our youth pastor cranked up this song all the way to wake us up. The drum solo shocked me every time.

  • best version of Amazing Grace ever

  • agreed

  • @maydaymurvis TOTTALLYY!!!

  • freakin' awesome! dang!

  • I actually want this song to play at my funeral. I'm thinking that I won't be suffering, so why should everybody else?

  • Dropkick Murphy's actually did this first. I checked the dates on iTunes., and unless iTunes is waaaay off on the dates, Flatfoot 56 just covered it. Listen to Dropkick Murphy's version, aside from the voice it's EXACTLY the same.

  • @CyberPunk1138 No, they're similar, but not the same. Since they are both versions of Amazing Grace, one would expect them to be similar.

  • @Die4Jesus I totaly want this song on my funeral too. I mean why not '?I'm Grace and it an amazing song. ^_^

  • @Die4Jesus me 2

  • @Die4Jesus me too. this song will be at my funeral as well. only just with the bagpipes

  • @Die4Jesus mourning isnt normally a concern for suffering unless you suffered before ya died, mate. we normally mourn out of selfishness but in a more subconscious matter. People mourn out of despair they will no longer see the person walking and talking. basically theyve left their lives. i see no problem with mourning a loss. but i am aware of its nature. normally i find myself happy after a few tears at a funeral...sort of a comfort to me they are at peace you know?

  • @Die4Jesus Amazing Grace is generally played at anyones funeral that has Celtic roots. Its been played at every single one of my family members passing ceremonys. :)

  • IDK what I'd do without the pleasure of some good Celtic Punk.

  • @kyvikz It's actually Scottish Punk

  • I'm mostly one for the slow version of this song but this is a very, very, VERY cool version of 'Amazing Grace'! Thnx for posting!

  • nice dude

i like this song a lot
