I've driven an F1 car (Prost AP02) and I can tell ya...sofiathereal is right. These cars are also terrifyingly quick. The camera does not do it justice. And it takes a bit of guts too. For an actor - he's actually done remarkably well here by the looks of it. My respect fro Tom Cruise has gone right up. Fair play. Nice effort.

@hazface Yeah you do have to brake hard enough to keep heat in the tyres but f1 cars have anti-stall systems built in so that if the driver spins the car doesnt stall as to turn one of those bad boys on you need what is basically a big stick that gets stuck up the exhaust, but you do have to go fast enough for the downforce to work, otherwise they are absolutely useless.
