I honestly wonder what the significance of the numbers listed in the song are. They're obviously power levels, but whose?

The last number in the song is 530,000, Freeza's power level, but what about the others? Towards the end of the song, the numbers get quite high, so it really is hard to determine who they belong to, and I have a hard time believing that they're random.

For a show called Dragonball Z, Bardock sure had the largest pair in the whole seires.

Going up against not only the most powerful being in the Universe, but his army of highly-trained soliders by yourself, and not stopping until your very body is vaporised takes some stones.

Add to the fact that he is the father of the legendary Son-Goku, and you have one awesome character.

In the original Japanese version of the Bardock movie. On the English DBZ DVD's you can switch the audio to either hear the Japanese or English soundtracks. Personally I think the original Japanese tracks are the best.
