Not even close to be the best drum solo ever. It's extremely sick though. The one bare hand and one sticked hand was a nice touch, though I think John Bonham goin no sticks and playing the actual toms as apposed to a bongo trumps it by a light year.

A few hours after his concert at Enmore theatre in Sydney he was waiting out the front for a taxi that was running late. Me and my friend pulled over congratulated him on the show then offered him a lift home and he was like ''fuck yeah why the hell not'' So we drove him to his hotel in Manly, It was the funniest thing ever and he gave us each a drum stick and got our tickets signed by John too.

If it was just "Michael Barker solo" without the hyperbole, people wouldn't have a reason to do the "IMO" stuff.

It is an awesome drum solo, but not quite up to "best ever" standards. There's a LOT of incredible stuff right here on youtube.

I saw JBT in hamburg about a year ago, the show was just awesome, and so was his solo, so was every one of their solos.

I love Barkers style, he is propably not the fastest drummer alive, but his sense for rhythm that just gets people going, along with the amazing variation of percussion instruments he knows how to include in his improvisations just makes him one of my favourite drummers ever.

@Begonias6969 I would say that Michael Barker is an amazing drummer, but I wouldnt say the best. Just off the top of my head I would say a drummer of his style that is better is Carter Beauford from DMB. I say they both have the same style because both drummers are very basics oriented but use them in a way that is hard to emulate. It goes back to the phrase complexity in simplicity. You may scoff at me for saying Carter is one of the best drummers out there but just watch some of his stuff.
