@antonais And with all due respect, not all canaries were developed in Spain. This breed of canary was created in Boston, MA USA by mixing border and roller canaries, neither of which came from spain, either.
Yes, I have "heared" other canaries sing of various types, song species and not, pure lines and not.
I happen to love Maestro's song. It's a matter of opinion whether it is beautiful, typical of an American singer, too harsh, too soft, too watery, too whatever. In my opinion, I find the song beautiful, so to answer your question...Yes, I call this a beautiful canary song. Thanks for asking.
Your post serves no purpose other than to bolster your ego, somehow. I feel sorry for you.
I have no problem with being told my canary doesn't sing like a fully trained champion show singer, but I never represented him as such. He's not trained to show and learned his song on his own.
What I do resent, D smilie or no, is that your initial statement was insulting, frankly, and with no constructive criticism or basis for the slight. Basically it was a pointless statement that helps no one and does nothing but attempt (unsuccessfully) to make a me feel bad about my bird's song.
@Hurleydoc I just read the snide comments below. Don't worry about those sorts of folk; raising song birds is a wonderful hobby, not life or death and not a place to put anyone down. American Singers particularly are prized for creativity! I think your bird is terrific.
He likes to stay on top of the cages and sing to the girls. He's quite proud of himself. He really doesn't like to range away from the others, so he plays on top of the cage.
He does go all over the board at times. I love watershlager's as well, but I have to admit I'm a nut for variety in the song, so this guy really does it for me.
my canary sings just like your canary too!

I do, however, look forward to listening to a different bird's song and will appreciate the video response.
