Yes, we were flying over Batam, just 20km from Singapore. In fact, domestic flights from Jakarta do land on Batam airport. Notice the amount of industrialisation (or deforestration) going on the island?

All Singapore Airlines has individual TVs. How come this plane doesn't?

Some planes are only for regional flights .

That is why certain planes have individual TV sets while some do not . It'll be dead boring if you take a flight from Singapore to London without any TVs ! The 13 hour flight will kill you .

HI, besides no TV screen, did you notice there is no table for meal service too? Actually all seats have screens. However, in business class, the screens are tucked upside-down into the armrest space between seats and manual manipulation is required to raise the arm holding the screen. Much like having to raise the folded table for meals, from the other side of the seat, below the armrest. Cheers!
