Its to much like the 'Front Mission' games. I loved those games and their game play. But its not for zoids. Zoids should be action games only where you run around and go trigger happy. It would be better if they could get each zoid to move and attack like they're ment to.

These things didn't look like zoids or follow a zoids storyline. What was with those crappy oversized guns?

Really, those guns are a joke compared to the anime guns. In a trailer I thought I seen a oversized harpoon to.

It looks like shit, they screwed the zoids up horribly.

The Shield Liger's tail isn't zig-zag, and it's longer than 2 feet.

They cut off the command wolf's ears.

The Dbison doesn't even look like it, I didn't know that's what it was until I looked it up.

It could have been so much better graphics wise, the gamecube game actually made an effort to make the Zoids look good, and they did look good, they just screwed up names.

You bash the plot and the still image cutscenes, but those are somewhat reminiscent of Front Mission, a very good strategy game. And level grinding is something you do in an RPG, in strategy games, you use STRATEGY.

I liked the idea of the game. New area, different kinds of Zoids, new people. I think one of the biggest problems was that they wanted to tell the story instead of show it. I wouldn't have minded stills if they had been more interesting and world building. Instead of politicians talking, they could have shown the enemy attacking, etc.

@Lukua321 All you need is 2 things: A brand new Datel Freeloader CD for GameCube and a seperate Memory Card. (When you have a foriegn game, it's best to have a second memory card...the reason why is because if you change the settings on your GameCube withe the Freeloader, the settings will format your memory card. Therefore, erasing all the games you had in one memory card. It's easy.

Great review, glad i stumbled upon this. I can get it for $7 but I don't think I will. I'd rather get a baconator, there's no lame story text to read, don't have to stare at still images. Later when it's ready to come out, it won't take 3 hours to do it, my strategy for how to handle it is effective and comes naturally.

Downsides - Can't customize colour unless I do it ahead of time(Food colouring maybe?) Annnnd then I can get back on ebay and search for a better game to waste my money on.

While this game IS based off an anime, the story from this game is completely different from the anime. The various anime series have a much better storyline. This game tried to make Zoids appear more realistic, so bright colors are non-existent.

Personally, because I'm a fan of the anime-style Zoids, this game is kind of disappointing to me. I have to admit, the Gamecube Zoids games are much more fun, though not necessarily hard if you know how to play them.
