  • I got a headache anyway! Something to get used to I guess. I also heard there was a chance of cracking the stock with shooting both at the same time. May only hold true go to older guns...

  • 12 gauge with the exposed hammers by the way. Hows the recoil with both triggers as opposed to one at a time? Havnt done that yet.

  • @irishpenguin13 Its pretty much twice as harsh. Don't put your cheek on the stock. I did the last time I shot both at once, and that was the last time I shot both at once lol. Gave me a headache.

  • Sweet! I just got a stevens model 235. Love it. Only shot 17 shells so far though.

  • What u can do instead of taking out the really hot shells with ur hand, u could tip the barrel vertical so the shells fall out, just so u don't burn ur hand

  • my uncle has one up i nsudbury, really fun to shoot actually

  • Sound like a fkn cannon dude.

  • Has Curly been playing COD? Seems a bit overdressed for the occasion.

  • Wow cool, once Ive got my license im thinking of getting a double barrel like that, my dads got a Rizzini over under but i would love a side by side, you wouldn't know the model number would you? I love the ones with the beaver-tail forend and pistol grip stock but are impossible to find over here in Scotland so if it had a model number after where it says Stevens that would be really helpful thanks. Happy shooting.

  • what model is that

  • why is rory mcgrath shooting it at 17 secs? haaha

  • kinda shoots it like a bitch

  • think your tough? shoot it one handed with magnum buckshot

  • Do not do both triggers it is bad for the barrel

  • @armdog8 there are two barrels and its just one shot each so how the fuck is it bad for the barrel

  • @bhennessee01 its bad for the hole gun

  • @camerl2009 no its not dude i do it all the time with an old 12 gauge stephens just like this, and my gun isnt broken i have firsthand experience

  • @bhennessee01 firing both barrels it what makes them lose on the receiver its not good over time

this will cause problems its just not a good idea

  • @camerl2009 did you google this shit or do you have first hand experience, if it is not the second option then i dont want to hear it. i will keep doing it, its not like he is shooting hi powered shells in it and neither am i

  • @bhennessee01 nope i just fixed a old double that had that problem no matter what shells this will cause

problems and being lose on the receiver is not the only problem it can crack the receiver ,stock or forend

    and crack the hinge pin

  • u should improve your reloading the shell then your go for action

  • I would love to see 1 berall with dragons breath and the other with exploding :D

  • is everybody with a double barreled shotgun name steve? lol awkward

  • @xzxphantomxzx Lol silly. Steven's is a manufacturer's brand. Not the name of the owner.

  • Some people think guns are bad i say its so fun! dont u just love seeing stuff expolde like water mellons and i love the sound of firing a gun and there good for self defence any theif will shit there pants when they see a gun

  • I'm thinking of getting a double barrel after I get my mossy 590, it's not very practical but they're cool as hell. I just turned 18 and i'm looking into a 5 part arsenal

    Rifle

    Assault rifle

    Shotgun

    Ccw

    Combat pistol

  • @Wabaanimkii Yeah i was trying to do something along the same lines. But i ended up just wanting more and more haha. Its like an addiction lol.

  • @Chipster1337 you got that right, i've been addicted to guns even before i came out of the whome

  • @Wabaanimkii you cant get ccw till your 21 holmes

  • @bhennessee01 I am aware of this ese'

I can get all of my options with exception of a CCW permit. I just need a relative to buy me the gun.

  • @Wabaanimkii holmes is a word used by everyone not just hispanics. and i am not hispanic holmes

  • @bhennessee01 Thank you for explaining that to me, "hoss"

  • Hello, i'm 14 and was thinking about asking for a double barrel. What gauge should i ask for?

  • @shadowsofshadow Depends on what you want it for. 20 gauge has alittle less recoil. But a 12 gauge really isn't that bad. There's more different types of 12 gauge ammo available so that's something to keep in mind. 20 gauge ammo is usually a tiny bit cheaper. Not by much though.

  • @Chipster1337 Ok then. I already have a Mossberg .410 model 500, but I've been dieing to shoot a double barrel. I've already asked and got this as a response "Well, you could handle a 12 gauge." so I guess i'll get one for Christams. I don't know we'll see :D.

  • @shadowsofshadow Yeah. I was shooting 12gauge easily at 13. In this vid i was 15. And i was a pretty short scrawny person. You be fine. =)

  • @Chipster1337 hey what kind of shotty is it?

  • i cant even handle a 20 gauge double barrel both triggers recoil but that is pretty cool

  • my dad has that same gun.

  • Does it actually kick harder when shooting two at the same time than one?I own a single shot. I always wanted to know.

  • does your shotgun brake down into 3 parts?

  • @grim0008 Sure does. Pull the Forearm off then the barrel and stock swing free of eachother in some way. I don't remember exactly how cuz i haven't messed with it in a while. But It sure does. =)

  • @Chipster1337 damn yo cuz I had a nice double barrel sawed off 12 gauge and broke into 3 parts and had no kick bt aint have it no more:/

  • Looks close to Mark Tilley's house...

  • Shooting both barrels at once can cause the barrels to separate. It's due to harmonics. Each barrel vibrates and flexes differently as the shot travels down them. The differences can break the silver solder that welds the barrels together. It can happen after 10 shots or a 1000 shots, it's not predictable.

  • your shotgun just makes a little pop, but mine makes loud boom. hehe

  • @TheDangerStudios Haha yeah. Its the camera we were using. It wouldn't pick up gun shots very well for some reason. It made them all sound like little pops. In person it sounds like a real gun though.

  • @Chipster1337 so yours does make a boom

  • @Chipster1337 its because such loud sudden noises arent picked up properly by a low quality microphone.

  • I love this weapon, idk why :P Virtual and real :P

  • so... you're like what... a double barrel shotgun ninja or something? are the ninja gauntlets a requirement or just a fashion statement?

  • dam i think you need to speed cola ;)

  • were you using buckshot ammo?

  • They were reloads. 1oz #4 birdshot with a medium power powder charge.

  • my favorite shotgun

  • dang what did yalls shoulders ever do to u

  • Nice popper ....... gotta chop the barrels off like mine.

I have mine in a violin case.

  • The trick is not to aim. It requires a great deal of practice, though.

  • my grandpa has one!

  • I was trying one of those when hunting with my father, then he told me not to pull both trigrars at the same time, which i did, and then the shotgun battered me and got a puple eye and no more shot gun for me :(

  • that happened to a buddy on mine

except that he did it with a 10 gauge...lol

  • Firing both barrels at the same time also puts a lot of stress on the rib holding the 2 barrels together and the receiver. not really an issue with newer SxS but with older ones its best to be careful.

  • @Jrhoney ya, learned that by my self, thanks. :)

  • hahahah nice i only shoot 22 rifles hahaha wimpy

  • just to let ya know its legal to chop that down to 18 1/2 for a cheap double barrel like that it would be good to do it with !

  • @GlockAnimal Not many "cheap" double barrel shotties around. There are a few but chinese or some no name crap.

  • If it's an authentic Steven's shotgun it's better he leaves it as it is. I've seen some that can fetch about 500 to 600 bucks or more

  • strange when i fired this it sounded A LOT LOUDER.

  • the microphone gets overpowered and doesnt catch all the sound. it is a lot louder in real life

  • I have an 84 stevens double. Flawless, I like it better than my 870. It doisint get stuck part way when opening it, I think they do that to keep your shells from falling out when your transporting it.

  • How much did you pay for that gun? Or did someone give it to you?

  • my mom bought it at a Yard Sale for $150.

  • That's a great deal. Wish I was that lucky.

  • i bought one for $100.00 AU

  • nice what a deal was it in good condition?

  • I'd say its pretty good condition. Probably 75-80% of the blueing. A little light surface rust. No pitting or anything though.

  • Cheap double barrels ftw!

  • my favorite

  • I love going double trigger awsome fun dudes.

  • Wahhh I have a Stevens Single Barreled 12 Gauge.....I wish I had the Double!

  • Stevens? Aren't they made by Savage? They look like cool guns.

  • is that a model 5100??

  • You're a dumbass. Of coarse you have to aim with a shotgun. Even though the bebes spread, hipfire is an extremely dangerous and inacurate way to shoot. People have broken arms hip firing. Also, you can't just "point" because when you bird hunt, you are supposed to aim for the center area of the flock.

  • point / aim who cares ? i didn't see any birds so what the flock?

  • @PearLock I have a pistol grip Mossberg 500. I I don't aim with it because I don't have a stock. XD Need to buy a stock for it so I can aim lol :D

  • That's a big myth, that buckshot from a shotgun is a magical 5' wide spray of death. Most defensive shotguns, without a particular choke, only spread buckshot 1 inch for every yard of range. You've still got to aim it, one way or another (some veteran shooters can zero on a target easier than others).

  • True story.

  • you're an idiot... and you don't know what the hell you're talking about. sorry

  • What kind of bullets were you using? My brother has that same gun and using just one of the barrels with buck-shot left us all with some minor bruises XD back in the day I used speed shot with both barrels and that stung a bit.....

  • They are reloads.1oz of #4 shot with maybe 3 dram Eq. So they aren't super heavy loads but they aren't really whimpy target loads either.

  • i dont think you should pull both triggers at once unless you werent

  • I don't do that very often, just did it for the camera basically. That and so my friend knew what recoil was. =)

I know it could cause the stock to crack.

  • i just bought the same model but in 16 gauge. nice light gun, i might just sell my stoeger.

  • nice

  • looks like fun.

  • I would love to get my hands on a double barreled shotgun with double triggers. It just sucks because the really good ones cost so much money.

  • You can get a great side x side coach gun for $369 made by Stoeger. They come as short as 20 inches

  • Well, I have some tips incase you aren't already doing 'em. Put one of your feet back so you have support from the recoil, and dig the shoulder piece as hard as you possibly can into your shoulder. Almost to where it hurts. This will reduce the recoil. You can't be a pussy with a 12 guage shotgun. :)

  • No auto shell eject?

  • No dude, its a double barrel not a semi they have no auto ejection.

  • well actualy SOME single shot and double barrel shot guns have an "Auto Eject".

What it is is when you break the action down a spring loaded thingy launches the shells out.

This gun doesn't have an auto-eject, maybe its too old to have one? I dunno.

But there is a such thing as an auto eject for single/double barrel shot guns.

  • you can buy a new bouble barrel with or without the "auto eject" option.

  • you should use explosive shells ! that would be awesome !!

  • hey how come is not that loud? is cause of the bullets? mine has the red ones i think it sounds way louder than that........

  • Nah its not the bullets, in person its real loud. What it is is the camera has really poor sound quality and it doesn't pick up sounds over a certain decible.

Basicaly it overloads the microphone and doesn't pick up the sound very good.

Thats the reason most of the shooting videos on YouTube don't sound very loud, most cameras don't pick up sounds that loud very good.

  • why it's called "12gauge" ? it's have only 2

  • 12 gauge is the refrence to the size or diameter of the bore.

"The gauge of a barrel is equal to the number of solid spheres of lead each having the same diameter as the inside of the barrel that would in total weigh a pound." -Wikipedia

Gauge is just a diffrent way to measure the barrel's diameter much like caliber.

    12 gauge = .729 caliber

  • aha - thank u! i thought that this 2-barrel gun can shoot 12 times without reload =)

  • Theres two triggers on a double barrel?

  • Yup. One trigger is for one barrel and the other trigger is for the other barrel.

  • could it break ur collar bone cuz of kickback

  • Nah I don't think it would ever break a collar bone unless you aren't holding it against your shoulder and are holding it in a way that puts the butt infront of your collar.

My tip to shooting any gun with alot of recoil is to hold the butt firmly against your shoulder and to not chicken wing. Keep your elbow down and kinda flex your shoulder/peck area.

Also never put your cheek on it when you pull both triggers because you'll bust yourself in the face.

  • thanks for the warnings of injuries. but are they very hard find in local gunshops cause some stores might just have regular shotguns but thats ok to right. i would buy either pump action or double shotgun.

  • I love shotguns there a classic weapon in video games especial in call of duty . where can i get double barrel shotgun may i ask.sry i added a video game in my comment but its true.

  • Yeah shotguns are pretty sweet, my only thoughts on trying to find a double barrel would just be to check local gun stores and maybe gunshows.

My Mother got this at a yard sale for my dad but that is like finding a neddle in a stack of crappy yardsales I think if you know what I mean lol

  • i just got an old stevens single shot 20 gauge for $25. i turned it into a sawed off shotgun. i cut the stock so it has a pistol handle, and i cut the barrel. it is really sweet. how long have you had that double barrel?

  • Did you shoot two rounds at once?

  • yup

  • Have read that modern shotguns with two barrels don´t have that function becuse shooting two at once would increase the recoil and make it less accurate and would hurt more in the shoulder.

    Or am I wrong?

  • I don't know how "modern" this shotgun is I think it might be like a 1950s-1970s model. (I'm not 100% sure though)

But I have heard alot of people say that you can't shoot both barrels at once in shotguns.

But I assuare you I am.

And it increases recoil by 100%. I wouldn't say it decreases accuracy because recoil only effects follow up shots and you can't have follow up shots when you use all ammo with one trigger pull. If anything I'd say it increases your hit chance on a moving target.

  • What rounds were you using??

  • They were reloads of #4 shot. I'd say they are a step above regular target loads power wise, but still a step under slugs.

  • would you think it would be safe to hip fire just one #8???

  • I don't see why not. Just gotta keep a decent grip on it since theres no shoulder for it to recoil into.

  • Nice Piece.

  • I've got a nice old Stevens Single Barrel I got for $60

Awesome Double Brrl though....wish I had one

  • NICE! I bought an old stevens 311 with a 20 inch barrel a few months ago for $100 and me and my little brother were blasting off both barrels at the same time like you guys. nothing but a good time and bruised shoulders and cheeks 40 shells later.

  • i'm honestly surprised you didn't crack the stock doing that considering that they weren't designed with that in mind....

  • nice boomstick =)

  • Thank you, my dad picked it up at a yard sale for $150. I don't think it was a bad deal at all =)

  • I was given a chance to fire a 12-gauge double barrel shotgun when I was 16 y/o ... and weighed 90 pounds soaking wet. I was knocked on my duff and bruised my face -- way too much power.

  • YAY! I'm the 1,111th viewer!

    Nice video =)

  • my dads got this gun he broke the stock on it shooting slugs lol

  • Just a tip of advice: don't place your cheek on the gun when you pull both triggers. I got a head ache for about an hour a few days ago when I shot this gun last.

  • I guess that is how I ended up with a bruised cheekbone. I was knocked backward a good couple of feet before I landed on my butt. I've not fired a weapon since then -- not out of fear but lack of opportunity.

  • ha ha that me at 0:15
