I would commit myself to a retro style between 1930s-1950s if there was a stylist nearby, like you. Sadly, despite having one of the best hairdressing educations in the world, most modern hairdressers here, don't have a concept of different retro styles and mix up the eras and don't understand the cuts or styling.
