Honestly, he doesn't seem genuine to me. He is a very IMMATURE person who is in BIG DENIAL. He refers to it as a situation, he speaks in a third person, it's like wow, WTF. I don't doubt that he is sorry, but he doesn't realize what he has done to this girl, how much pain he caused and that he marked her for life.
