The young girl in the second interview has too much potential that she isn't using and is too beautiful to die on those streets. The older woman in the second interview I respect because she loves her kids and was sure to make sure they were taken care of before herself. She deserves treatment for her sickness and place of her own. She should speak out about aids because she is not afraid of it.

The first man that was interviewed in this video I thought, "Shame on your kids for not helping you". I do not get along with my father that well, but I would never let him go that way. There should always be enough love to go around.

The fact of the mattr is over 80% of the people who are homeless on the streets are alcoholics, drug addicts or the mentally ill. 20% of them are the ones who really deserve chance to get their lives back together. The rest choose to be on the streets.

im such a giving person that if i won the lottery the first thing i would do in the piece of shit town i live in (Medford, Or) is build a Homeless shelter, i would pay for the heating and water and everything else, but they would have to atleast work a few hrs a week, or volunteer, or go to school if they dont have a G.E.D. or go to college if they want to, but they would have to do something somewhat productive unless they are 100% disabled from a back injury or something,

Not everyone who is homeless or living in poverty in Chicago or elsewhere in the United States is a drug abuser. I will give that many may do drugs to pass the time and that people do become homeless because they abuse drugs, but the real problem is that many of these people do not have the skills or education to obtain and keep a job, and jobs are not available.

i was homeless 2 twice for 6months and then i was for a year and it was cold cause it was winter time the summertime was not bad cause i got to go to the pool and shower but then i got tierd of it i got off my ass and decided that enough was enough it was hard real hard but i got threw it and i was wit my girl she was my insperation and god and my family to those homeless people out there stay strong keep ya head strong like 2pac said threw every night there,s a bright day after that love ya,ll

Nice. I just hope that everyone will stop ignoring the people that need help. Regardless of what anyone says...they do not want to be homeless. No one does. I always give what I can and some say "they will just buy drugs or alcohol" but ya know..so what? If they are in need of relief that bad that they are homeless or panhandling then they obviously need it. Besides most will not even make eye contact with the homeless..shame that we cant even acknowledge their existence. ANYONE can end up there

how do you know what they want? maybe it seems illogical to you, but its still possible. ive met many people who were in bad situations and were obviously comfortable with where they were.not because they said so but because of their acts to stay where they were.

I have the cure for the Homeless and Refugee problem.

AIRHOMES FOR THE HOMELESS. My invention can save lives..Hurricane Katrina, this would have been THE answer for this dire situation. Look out Florida, 2006 will have hurricanes more devistating than any in history!

I've sent my idea off to many companies and Governments. Bottom line, who the hell cares about the Homeless? I DO - DENNY HAMMERTON.
