That is the nature of the Lupin shows and movies: stylized violence. It's assumed beforehand that you're sane and mature enough to know the difference between real violence and animated cartoons. Lupin the third is one of the best animes in my opinion, certainly with stylistic elements all its own.

Yep, the OVAs are made annually, and there are 3 seasons. The 2nd season is the longest, I think, and my personal favourite. :) I highly recommend it if you aren't familiar with it.

Actually, they make a TV Special every year, not OAVs. I just wanted to say it because there are two Lupin The 3rd OAVs (which is different from TV special) and you could be confused
