  • Does this Lg have GSM ? could anybody tell me ?

  • @elionly16 I actually can't remember if the Optimus V has a 90 day warranty or a 1 year warranty, but call Virgin Mobile anyway and tell them your phone has stopped working. Odds are they will offer to replace it for you free of cost - they want to keep you as a customer. :-)

  • This is such a great review.

  • Best review ever..!!

  • good video and great phone but is there a facebook appp on there i didnt see it there

  • @zachp58199813 Yes, there is a Facebook app as well as a Widget you can add to one of the home screens for quick access to status updates.

  • I like your Shrek poster :3

  • @CoreyyySternerr I actually just had to throw it away... very sad as I've had it for awhile and it was my favorite.

  • how many times do kickback codes work??

  • @MrGetmoney1123 You can refer up to 100 friends per year using your own kickback code.

  • This is so far the best review I have ever seen ! (:

  • @123juanponce Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate them!

  • Is There Something ,Where You Can Like , Make A Code or Pattern , To Unlock The Phone ?

  • @AlyssaaaAyee Yes, every Android handset has the ability to setup a pattern lock on a 9 point grid. This can be setup in place of the standard lockscreen.

  • do u have big hands or is it really how small that phone is

  • @kylamoniquemartin I've got pretty big hands lol... but the Optimus is indeed a small phone. Easily pocketable.

  • soooo do u have to pay the 35 dollars now did u used to pay the 25 if so

  • ive had virgin mobile for a while i started with a couple horible phones till i got the rumor touch. i like it. then for christmas im probly getting this phone so i was looking for reviews and i liked urs the best out of the ones i saw. thanks for the very specific review!! :)

  • @sk8r4life8499 ops rumor 2 my bad

  • @sk8r4life8499 Thank you very kindly for the positive feedback, I appreciate your comments!

  • @Xtranormal41 Me too

  • Great review, helped me make up my mind, got this phone this cyber monday for $52, from the comfort of my home and didnt have to stand in line for hours.

What is Gingerbread (CM7) you referred to in another comment ?

  • @friendlyuser1 really. ipaud 65 for mine :(

  • paid*

  • @YoyoRamos45 Sorry abt that, Still a good buy at $65, that was the normal price, i was looking at reviews of the phone and one reviewer mentioned in the comments to use the promo code " Save20" to save 20%, i did and it worked reduce the price.

  • @friendlyuser1 Gingerbread is Android 2.3 and while it's never been officially released for the phone from Sprint/Virgin Mobile, several people have made excellent ports of CM7 (which is a Gingerbread based ROM from a third party). In particular I reccomend "Inferior Human Organs" CM7 ROM for the Optimus V.

  • I just this phone On Black Friday. Camped out. I recommend it. I'm watching this vid while on the phone.

  • @Xtranormal41 I DID TOO!

  • @Xtranormal41 Yup, that was a fantastic deal on a phone that's normally selling for $99 - $129 these days. For the money you just can't find a better pocket smartphone... especially once you put Gingerbread (CM7) on it. :-D

  • Thanks for the review.. best review ever!

  • @XxSWAG12xX Thank you for the positive comment, it's really appreciated!

  • can you move the boxes around like if they had a facebook one but you wanted to move it to the back is that possible

  • Comment removed

  • @100kymani yes hold the app down and move to the right/left

  • does this have a landscape keyboard

  • @DeWalt36volt yes

  • I currently have a rumor touch, and it seemed great until the samsung intercept came out. Now i want an android and i am eyeing the lg optimus slider, but i guess if i couldnt get that i would get this, especially if it gets a gingerbread update.

  • i am not a camper

  • i want it

  • can you play Robot Unicorn Attack? :O

  • do you need a screen protector for this? or does it stay clear

  • @jc72la5stout Deffently get a screen protector it will get dirty if u dont u can get it on ebay for like $8.00 plus that comes with a case

  • Awesome video. I like how you did a long one then made a short one haha. I watched them both anyway. I'm getting one in a couple weeks and i am soo excited! I have the Rumor Touch and i hated not getting any apps...

  • Love the videos you are a great reviewer! Helpful because I'm new with VM

  • @myeveningpost Thanks so much for the kind words, I appreciate them!

  • great video subscribed

  • Wish I had the triumph

  • @waltergq nope you can use it even if you're charging it. I have the LOVE IT! But wish u had the triumph

  • Is that silver part on the top metal or plastic

  • I have this phone finally and it's awesome

  • The gingerbread android 2.3 upgrade is available 4 the lg optimus v... And this phone is supposed 2 b able 2 support adobe flash player. And you can root the phone, but it's not necessary though.

  • Nooooo u can use it!!!

  • one question is it true that while charching this phone u cannot use the phone at all ? for example if i wanna make a call or use the touchscreen? thanks!

  • @DACnews you're right every android upgrade has been a food/desert..lol THE MOST DELICIOUS PHONE EVER! im waiting for “crem brulee” or android “snickerdoodle”

  • Quick question for owners of the Optimus V: Can you use apps while on a call?

  • geek red neck lmao i like tht lol thumbs up :D

  • "I really suck at driving... just a fact of life.." HAHAA , that was funny :)

  • how do you delete messages and everything im fn confused. and kinda pissed. cause i bought it and got everything transfrered over and idfk how to use it:(

  • ur face is not ugly! awwe.

  • seen one on amazon.com is thhis website reliable? its only 125.00$ new.

  • OK - Important question here. The whole "Unlimited Data" with VM you say actually has a 5GB limit. So....What does VM charge you for that then?

  • @ATCRyderX No Extra charge they just throttle your data until your month is done. Then you get normal speed

  • @Jakfu eh. Sorry, man, but I'd like to hear an answer from the "professional" who did the review. No disrespect intended. I had a plan years ago with VM as a monthly rate and those filthy little faggots dicked me over big time. So..I'd like to know on this one.

  • I have virgin mobile but i have a different non smartphone. If i switch to the Optimus do i have to pay 35 bucks or do i pay the same 25 bucks a month?

  • @Greuga If you are currently paying for the $25 'Beyond Talk' plan on one of the VM handsets then you will be locked in even if you switch phones - the only thing that will cause you to revert to the newer price plans is if you let your account expire... so always keep a balance! :-)

  • @MyRedneckLife Is this still effective as of 11-29-11? cause I'm about to switch phones

  • @Greuga youll keep paying only 25 because I had been a long time customer when it was 25 bucks a month so it kept that way even when the plan turned to 35 a month so your gonna keep paying 25

  • bad news data plans gone up to $35 a month for cheapest phone, just because of the motorola triumph

  • @bigmanoncampus7577 But if you are already a customer in good standing you are grandfathered in at the lower rate. So long as you don't let your account expire you are golden... I suggest doing autopay.

  • @MyRedneckLife well i don't have the phone yet i am getting it in about a week so i have to pay $35, which makes me mad because that low price attracted me to the company, i mean $35 isn't much still is the best price for what you get it just still make me mad

  • @bigmanoncampus7577 Yeah, I could see them raising the price a bit, but $10 seems a big much. I'm guessing it's a means to push people towards paying for the unlimited plan (as it went down $5 a month). I am not happy about that but still $35 is cheaper than anywhere else.

  • cant wait to get this phone getting it soon getting it new off of amazon for $125.99 and $4.99 shipping

  • @bigmanoncampus7577 same here but some targets have it for 129.95 with a 20 dollar gift card you may just want to look or as a person who works there and there was a coupon for 20 dollars off too

  • Whenever you say "fro-yo" i think of frozen yogurt.....

  • @LovleyMonkey77761 cus andriod names there os after deserts!

  • @LovleyMonkey77761 LOL that's what Froyo is... Adroid has had Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb.

  • @LovleyMonkey77761 Rightfully so. All versions of Android are named after desserts.

  • @LovleyMonkey77761 Well that's what it is - Android 2.2 is named "Frozen Yogurt". Every Android point release is named after some sort of desert or sweet ie Donut, Cupcake, Eclair, Frozen Yogurt, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, etc...

  • ive been lookin 4 a good in-depth review of thiss phon3 thnkz.

  • yuo taught me some things i didnt know thank ypu and great video..my advice would be MAKE MORE lol but again greatttt vid

  • hey i just got mine today...gonna use ur code to activate...thanks man and great review :)

  • @jarintasnim Thanks, much appreciated! :-)

  • Where...would you get it for 149- to 169? When I get it, I'll use your code. :)

  • @songofserenity Nevermind, on sale at best by this week for 150!! Guess talk of the Triumph is getting people going!

  • @songofserenity Yup, I've also heard it's on sale for the same price at Radio Shack as well... good news for people looking for a great android handset on the cheap!

  • Hey Redneck you should be receiving an extra 60 mins of talk time...I used your kick back code! Thanks!!!

  • @Cha75201 Thanks, much appreciated!!! :-)

  • @MyRedneckLife I'm getting this phone on Sunday, and for such an informative review I'll be sure to use your kickback code. Thanks for the great review!

  • Excellent Review!! I had the Intercept and I know exactly what you were talking about...its was a horrible phone! I sold it a week after having it. Loved the physical keyboard though. I went with T-Mobile and got a nice Samsung Vibrant, but then lost my job in April, so I was able to sell it and coming back to VM..SO GLAD they got this phone...I'm actually getting it tomorrow and I can't wait!! Awesome review!! The best I've seen on youtube!!!!

  • @Cha75201 Thanks so much for your positive feedback! Yes, It's really sad about the Intercept because it could have been a great phone had Samsung not crippled it with half the RAM it should have. You can see from using the Optimus that the extra 256MB of RAM makes all the difference. It's such a shame because the physical keyboard on the Intercept is actually done very well and feels great to use.

  • Does anyone have a data issue ?

  • can i receive text messages on wifi

  • @antonturner98 I believe text messages require a cell connection, although they may use wifi for the actual data transmission. So you must have active service in order to send and receive text messages. However you could use a third party application like Skype and that will work over WiFi alone wether you have phone service or not.

  • Awesome review long but still it was awesome, great job!!!!

  • @MrVideoman121 Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate it!

  • By far the best review of the LG Optimus V on YouTube. You convinced me to buy it.

  • @Hiresh13 Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate it!

  • hello, great review by the way i am getting the optimus this week and i had a question is 2.3 gingerbread better than he froyo?is there something i should do when i get it to increase battery life? how do you close apps when your done with them so they dont run in the background?

  • @nonsincegamer1991 Gingerbread is the codename for Android 2.3 and FroYo (Frozen Yogurt) is the codename for Android 2.2. Our LG Optimus V comes out of the box with 2.2 and runs quite well. There is rumour that the Optimus will get Gingerbread this summer. Being a newer version yes 2.3 is better than 2.2. :-)

  • @nonsincegamer1991

As for increasing battery life, the number one thing you can do is turn off WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS when you are not using them. You can manage this easily with the built in 'Power Control' widget that you can put on any of your home screens. It makes enabling/disabling these services as easy as tapping a button on the screen.

As for closing apps, just exit out of them normally. Android will manage itself and close anything that needs closing on it's own. :-)

  • Great Video!!

  • @GadgetJen85 Thank you so much for your feedback, I appreciate it!

  • Which part?

  • Menu and Home key would be they keys that are swapped

  • You can send it as a response to my video again if you want.

  • Best review on youtube, just tellin ya how it is with some honest true advice! The LG Optimus V rocks! Just ordered my Otterbox case this week, gotta keep the phone in tip top! 25 bucks a month cant beat it, not even close! Its the american dream! As you can tell I LOVE THIS PHONE!
