@harald144 I think you mean Arminian church (Armenian, Arminian, two very different things). It is a church that follows the teachings of Arminius, who was cast out as a heretic for his teaching that God does not choose who he saves and that all of that power is in man. Therefore, this teaching shows a non-sovereign "god".
Scripture makes it quite clear that Salvation is Not by the will of man( man's choice).Salvation is according to God's will alone( His Grace). If God did not make His people born again first,as Jesus told Nicodemus,no one would ever believe, all would perish, that's what's so great about God's grace.Man's pride wants him to have just a little bit to do with it,his choice.
At that time Jesus said, I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.
There are so many who are here on youtube that are blinded and deafened by their own wisdom, that they cannot retain the Truth. This is not to reject knowledge or growing in wisdom, but it is a cry for many to become as children. Those who have ears, let them hear.
Bad advice. Most pastors have already studied their Bible and prayed about it and reject Calvinism on the basis of Bible teaching and historical theology. Reformed people think their position on TULIP is the "gold standard" in theology, but it is not. Those who want to talk about the "doctrines of grace" in churches that have already rejected that false theological construct are just trouble-makers.
@Wangoize You might personally think the doctrines of grace are false. Fine. But that's not important in regard to the question Johnis addressing. John is giving advice to people who recognise that the doctrines of grace are biblical, and who have been asked to keep quiet about them. Your dissection of people's motives is most uncharitable.
YHWH is never referred to by a word that is pronounced "God" (Gawd) in Hebrew text According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, GOD is the common Teutonic word for a personal object of religious worship, applied to all the superhuman beings of the heathen mythologies. The word "god" on the conversion of the Teutonic races to Christianity was adopted as the name of the One Supreme Being. Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics and Webster's Dictionary, Unabridged agree that the origin is Teutonic paganism.
i'd leave that church. it really is that simple
