  • Gentlemen, I don't wanna be "That guy" but it says in your contracts in black and white that posting your exact ship dates are and will always be a violation of OPSEC (Operations Security). You can, however, give a general ship time. I will be leaving at the very start of Feb, for example.

  • @Saltyfishingkidd if your looking for a fight.this is a MOS where youll get all you can handle.as far as deployment, you'll go where ever the Army needs you.this is a Recon MOS though.your job isnt just to fight. you are the eyes and ears of your unit commander.there is alotta pride with cavalrymen.if you enlist in this MOS,you are the only REAL cavalry in the Army.i enjoyed my time as a scout.

  • @shoobee101 Thank you sir. thanks for serving also. Appreciate it.

...and I dont know what to look at either... :(

  • @JVKwildcat dumbass. I scored a 89 the ASVAB the first time I took it, and an 98 the second time.

  • For all of you arguing about which MOS is better, 19d or 11b.....allow me to tell you something.

They both suck. I reclassed from infantry to Cavalry in 2009. FUCK both MOS's. Be smart, and get a job that actually matters.

  • @weakperson141 hah. maybe you a petroleum engineer.

  • @Sun8LOVES8Rain Hell naa

  • @zachfresh what positions can they have?

  • @Sun8LOVES8Rain The closest thing to this would be Military Police. That's the closest they can get to combat

  • @zachfresh since today i have never wanted to be a men so bad before :/

  • yes 19D is OSUT which is 16 Weeks thats what i do

  • And they are moving all one station unit training to benning I am not sure why yet.

  • To the guy that said he is too tall and wasn't allowed in, its because MRAPS, and bradlys are crazy small and you can get hurt dismounting one if you are too big,

  • @CavRecon3 we had a guy in platoon who was 6 foot 11

  • @screaminyellow08 Remember that it is against protocol to announce your shipping date publicly.

  • @CCCPVideos .. yeah i fucking hate idiots that do that

  • @CCCPVideos The army has better things to do than whine and complain about a guy announcing his ship date to basic...hes fine.Nothing will happen to him.

  • feb 28th to benning

  • Do cav scouts go yo benning now?

  • @patrickKRO yes...

  • i ship out feb 27 2012! hoorah

  • forgot*

  • @TEMPLEKING1974 Completely agree, I fogort about mech inf. Well I heard they were all switching over to Stryker vehicles which are less troublesome and proven to be effective in teh field. I wouldn't know though, just word of mouth. Armored Cav blows, LOL. I dont how a heavy unit would be, I'm sure it is teh same BS.

  • @Omoore1979 As a former scout i'm going to tell you go light Cav. Light Cav Scouts actually performs there MOS "RECON" and its as physical as light infantry. Request Fort Drum 10th Mountain Division or Fort Bragg 82nd Airborne Division. If you go heavy Cav be ready to spend numerous hours in some motor pool with some asshole who doesn't want to be there. Go light Cav! 10th Mountain ''Climb To Glory"

  • Shipping out 20120707 hooah!!

  • IM TOO FUCKING TALL TO BE A CALV SCOUT

  • @eyesack9

How the fuck can you be too tall to be a scout?

  • What's the difference between Cal scout and infantry scout, I heard there 2 different jobs?

  • @samuellis The vehicles. ;)

  • Prepare for a life of motor pool sweeping & area beautification, countless hours in the motor pool doing layouts, fixing your constantly breaking down vehicle. Practice peeing in bottles now so you'll be good in the back of a Bradley. Hopefully you don't break track out in the field, it is back breaking labor. I saw scouts do their job a few times, but most of the time it was MP or Infantry duties. Take it from a pogue, it's not too late to go airborne and avoid mechanized/heavy units! Good luck

  • @diewrecked fkn lol ^the truth right here.

  • @diewrecked Most of that is true, but mechanized infantry goes through the same crapp with there Bradley's. I saw it myself when i was station in Korea at Camp Garry Owen as a 19D in 98''. Light Cav is much better and more physical. At Fort Drum we meet all infantry requirements, and the best scouts would move on to become Rangers.

  • Tankers ain't fat fucks and you better respect them man like any other person in the military and Hooah to the airborne man also GoodLuck to the scouting guys in here

  • Fuck tankers they are a bunch of fat fucks, we hardly use them overseas. Scout is the way to go. Go airborne if u can, you'll appreciate going to a light cavalry unit. 82nd Airborne all the way

  • @TheGnarlySniper Ahh yes. The French said the exact same thing.

Then they got their ass kick by Germany.

  • @TheGnarlySniper if you aint cav, you aint shit

  • @chrisgladstone18 Yeah? Well I hope you can appreciate combat medics like myself. Without us, your 19D is as good as dead if hit.

  • @AtomicStarBurst BUT 13f soooo. yeah fuck you!!!!!!!

  • @chrisgladstone18 19D's are almost as good as 11Bravos.

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 im going into infantry and i know 19d are better trained...

  • @chrisgladstone18 I was Infantry... they are not. Many Infantry BN's don't even have scouts assigned to it. They have their own recon section usually run by people who have completed Ranger school. Not to mention everything they talk about in this video is stuff I did in the Infantry.

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 Your cute.. 11B is a retard with a weapon.. 19D is a highly trained soldier in many aspects of combat... 11B is a grunt

  • @WingChun2Night So that makes you a POG then huh? Which would automatically preclude you from having any opinion of 11B's. Like I said, everything in this video is stuff I trained on all the time in the Infantry. It's not that hard. If I had never deployed or been in the Army I would probably think 19D's are super high speed. But they're not. They're not garbage or anything, but let's not try to over-hype it.

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 How do you figure? I am a grunt with an IQ! Unlike standard MOS 11B you are required to have a bit of an IQ to perform said tasks. I know plenty of "Bravos" with a general mental handicap... doesn't say much for you guys. Anyway your not Army.. so most civilians don't have a say really.. If you can do the Delta tasks including the physical standards required of a 19D then by all means.. Prove me wrong..

  • @WingChun2Night It's you're not "your". Besides you're not a grunt, your a POG. That's why they call us grunts and POG's are everybody who is not a grunt. You're combat support. But it's okay, we need you just like we need fuelers and cooks. We were on mission with some scouts once, they forgot to bring any 240 ammo. The dismounted and carried the 240 all night but didn't have any ammo for it. lol

  • @WingChun2Night I see the 11B and 19D rivalry is alive and well... Can't we all just get along... I love my 11B's they are like my little retarded brothers. :)

  • I went to Tampa MEPS today and I was Gonna do 19 kilo M-1 Armor But they had zero slot but know I'm a mother fucking beast hahaha 19 Delta Hooooaaahhhh

  • 1:34 lol ghillie suit on the 50 cal!

  • We are at war they say you chose your MOS well if it is a combat MOS you truly chose if you chose a non Combat MOS they will tell you all slots are filled and assign you a combat MOS unless you score very high on the ASVAB

  • @nazosnowboarder yes sir .... Hey can anyone tell me if it is required to wear the Stetson "cowboyhat" at formal functions as a cav scout? Because I think they are gay lol no offense but cowboy hats are not for me ..btw I go to basic at benning in october

  • I want to be either in the Army or Marine Corps, and I can't decide. Army has better pay and more options on MOS, while Marine Corps has stronger training and shorter deployment time. I want to be a combat engineer or a Cav Scout. Since the Corps doesnt have cav scouts, the decision just got harder.

  • @cew1965 well, the corps has the force recon

  • @cew1965 The payscale is the same. You might rank up faster in the army though.

  • @cew1965 As a former 19D Cav im going to tell you this, go light Cav only. Avoid armored Cav at all cost. The reason why im telling you this is because i experienced both. LIght Cav is as physical as light infantry, and you actually do "RECON". Served in 10th Division, and trained with some the best scouts. Climb To Glory!

  • You choose....but first you Afto qualify on the asvab...

  • Can you choose what career you want in the army? or are you assigned?

  • @STATiKoSHOKo You choose depending on your ASVAB score.

  • @DeltaSquadFilms11 O ok. thanks.

  • @winstead19d. Whats the hardest part of your training????including the march???

  • i just got back from 19d osut. i went to ft. knox though. one of the last troops to be there. its all easy. have any questions just ask. good luck

  • @Winstead19D Were you in Fox 5/15?

  • trying to convince father, bein a jerk he said "no infantry" i SAY let them eat lead

  • Anyone heading to Knox for 19D basic..

Good luck, I retired in 2008 after 20 as a scout. When you get to basic, keep your mouth shut and stay off any tile work inside the main door of the barracks that looks like a letter, number, or unit insignia. Also, learn the poem "Fiddlers Green"

    Good luck trooper to be.

  • Recruiter say just a few for 19d and tanker

  • @smoothoperator93...I ship out that same day..19d fort benning.....

  • im thinking calvary scout, combat engineer or small arm/artillery repairer

  • was a scout from 2001-2004 great MOS better be head strong shits serious. 4/64 AR scouts out

  • @chrissilva26 whats up silva, 3/7 Inf scout here.

  • Anybody shipping out to OSUT first week of september to Benning?

  • I have a question for ya'll i want to know whats better to be an 18b or 19d
