trevor linden is the best player there will and ever be. best canucks forward that will touch the ice. and get some rebirto loungo shit best golie ever
Linden was hit hard and was struggling to the bench. He was crawling along the ice when Messier cross-checked him in the back knocking him back on to his stomach. Look up "He'll play!".
Well I guess your right. Stan did play his heart out with the Canucks, but Trevor did guide the Canucks like Stan although Stan was probably a better captain, Linden was a younger captain and had far more responsability on his shoulders. Judging by these attributes, I would say they're both equals. They both were true Canucks. Thanks for the comment man.
I loved Linden, but Smyl was the better player. He played well over 200 less games than Linden but only had 60 less points. Also, Smyl was tough and led physically, including fighting - and winning. Smyl once led the Canucks in goals, assists, points, and Penalty minutes....incredible, and very rare. They both led their teams to finals (Unlike Naslund) and were character guys - Smyl was the better player though -- however, the best talent was by far Bure.
I think Linden pretty much equals Smyl (my personal favorite). Naslund certainly isn't in the discussion, and while he was a very good player here and should have been put in the ring of honor, there's no way he should have his number retired. IMO.
go bruins, just saying.
