Apple went through and marked them as different levels of condition. The good ones were resold to an unknown company. The slightly damaged ones were taken to be used for replacement parts. The bad ones were scrapped as they were physically abused and couldn't be reused.

Wow, there's like 200 Macbooks there, that's about $220,000 with tax. It cost me my whole life savings and birthday moneys to afford mine, couldn't imagine doing that 200 times.

Impressive. It's about time my school replaced all their deteriorating iBook G3's with Macbooks. All they do is clean off the enclosures each year and pass them off as new. :-(
