Jesus in Gospel of John(since this is believed for Gentiles) said in John 8:11, John 5:14 "go and sin no more." So to say we "don't need Jesus if we could stop sinning" is false--we still need Him, we have sinned and deserve hell for it. Even AFTER we're saved, we still need to stop sinning by His power in us... 1 John 3:1-10 is quite clear. We're not Jews under the Mosaic law. God bless

What about people that have never heard of the bible in their lifetime, were never told of God, were not shown the way. They lived their life free of sin, they were true to all of the teachings of the bible, but they never read it, or were told it even existed. This person, then dies, not believing in Jesus, God, the Bible, or any part of christianity because they were never exposed to it. When they die, they go to Hell, because they did not believe in God. Is that just and fair?

I'm pretty sure that today my mom would still call herself a Christian even though she's not. That's the way I was, too. I THOUGHT I was a Christian until I found salvation through Christ and now I really am one.

I do understand your use of the Rubik's cube for metaphor. Which is no different than any other religious metaphor for repenting. It is good to do good things... we are human and we make the decision. You decided to be christian, which is good in your standard.
I'm somewhat of an expert with solving puzzles, and A lot of speedcubists like myself don't believe in a God or Gods... Religion doesn't make anyone better with rubik's cubes...

Actually, God got a hold of me and I became a Christian when I discovered how UN-good that I was.
One doesn't 'decide' to become a Christian.
One simply receives the free gift of salvation from God and *poof*, you're a Christian.
Otherwise, without God, one will have to pay for his own sins on Judgment Day.
I hope that's not the ultimate choice that you will make.

The judge is impartial in such a matter.
God, likewise, wants you to receive the free gift of the 'get out of jail free' card (Jesus).

it's like when you recieve a gift, you receive it but you can still choose between keep it or leave it, you are not forced to keep the gift anyway.
If you receive the gift of God (Jesus) you will have eternal life.
God loves us all equally, but he hates our sin, so whats the solution to this... Jesus Christ dead on a cross for our sins, that means he payed the price we deserved for our sins... and that shows us the love of God for everyone because He died for everyone.

Look at God and you won't notice yourself. :) All your shortcomings, or your successes don't matter, just beleive on Christ and His blood washes you clean. The grace of God sure is wonderful! I'm not saying don't try to obey God, but we shouldn't be dwellingg on how good we are before or after salvation. We should keep our eyes on Christ at all times, and share the Good News with others so they too can be saved.

Because God is just, he couldn't let man's sin against God go unpunished. The only sacrifice worthy of pleasing God, was one of complete holiness & righteousness. Thus the "word" became flesh. The word of God is Jesus which is God. ..came born in in the likeness of man, through the seed of the Holy Spirit (again God) born of a virgin to die & become sin for us. Now instead of perishing, we can choose to accept that God did this for us; through Christ Jesus & be saved from damnation.

Considering the fact that god ordered the Israelites to go into a city and kill everyone who was not a virgin girl and then to take the virgin girls for themselves, I really don't think he should be telling me I need to repent.
When god apologizes for sending a bear to tear apart 42 little boys just for calling Elisha a baldhead, then maybe he can tell me I should repent. Until then, I think I'll stick with my life of "sin".

Well, I think that the rubrics cube was a great analogy, but you have not actually proved anything.
And yes, science has actually proved the existance of thousands of things that we can not sense ourselves; radiation, micro-organisms, extremely distant stars, the existance of atoms...
Keep in mind, humans use science to discover what they do not see or understand. Perhaps some day we will have legitimate proof of God.
