Nice van! I am at the early stages of a similar project and would love to see a narration of the photo montage you have at the end of this video where maybe you talk a bit about the construction process and how you chose certain methods and materials.
@wilkesd Thanks for the comment. Glad to hear you're starting a project. How far along are you? Yeah, I'll put some more info about the construction and options in the next video I put up. Feel free to shoot me any questions in the mean time, if you have any.
@NWtrailClimber I'm not far along yet, still working out some mechanical issues. The interior is still in the "pondering & imagining" stage. I'll keep an eye out for future vids and will send questions if I have them.
Can you tell me how you attached those plywood boards to the walls of the van. did you just screw them in with screws? what kind of insulation did you use on the floor? thank you.
@799Charlie Yeah, I used sheet metal screws for all the interior panels. I had to use a brace beam (2x4) from one wall to the other to prop the plywood against the vertical ribs of the van, so I could pre-drill for the screws. The floor insulation is a 4x8 sheet of 1/2 inch hard foam that you can get at any Home Depot or Lowes.
You got some good, simple, practicable, ideas going on there friend.
