Yes I'm for real, since all you've talked about is the UDR in your last posts, I assumed we were talking modern history, i.e. from 1969-2008; The deployment of British troops to Northern Ireland - to today. Since the Irish Volunteers were only formed in 1913, it's redundant comparing their kill toll of less than a century with Cromwell's military, which by the way was an entirely different outfit. The modern British Army was formed in 1963. And yes, I hate Cromwell just as much as you.
