  • thats why i carry a gun, but hope to god i never have to use it

  • Thank you. That is exactly what I have been trying to explain.

  • Thank you for clarifying that. I have done some research myself now and understand that the only knives which are like switchblades that are illegal to buy in the UK are those that 'lock'. What do you use your knives for may I ask?

  • It is sad, but it's the way life is now. It's the same way here in America.

You seem like a nice person. I'm sorry you are forced to live in fear.

The only way to survive is to be prepared and for moral, law abiding people to stand together.

Our governments refuse to put a stop to ignorant people degrading the fabric of civilized society.

We CANNOT depend on our governments to protect us any longer. This should be obvious.

I wish you all the best from across the pond.

  • theres alot of fuc*ked up people out there its sad =(

  • It is sad yes. :(

  • a switchblade laws is stupid. a switchblade differs from other knifes that it automaticly opens. that's it. no matter how knife open it will be opened. it's not more dangerous knife that other. The old movies, people fear (naive) caused them to be illegal. i love switchblades they are most beautiful knifes i ever seen. and this makes my heart cry.

  • Interesting response. Thank you.

Despite switch blades being illegal in the UK, it is ultimately illegal to carry a knife of any kind without good intentions. Those would only be in the case of carrying a craft knife for art and craft purposes, kitchen knives just bought and knives for use in farming, hunting and camping. Could you give an example of a good use for a switchblade?

I personally don't find knives beautiful in any form.

  • well that's a matter of taste. there are many switchblade types. i personally like italian stiletto and leverletto, if you don't know you should google it and check out some pictures. i would go for them for collecting purpose.

  • they are handmade by experienced protechs. I found them (switch's) chilling, elegantic and the most beautiful knifes for me. they like a form of art (matter of taste, different people likes different thinks, like i don't like poems, and not interested in paintings). nobody should give away that. people kill, not gun.don't judge a tool. the use of switchblades? that's slippy. well if you need to cut a rope or something lol :).

  • that's the point. i find them interesting to collect. sorry for 3 splitted parts of one comment. :)

  • Thank you for your intelligent response. I really do appreciate your POV.

  • lol wow you need to mind ur own buisness , the world is alot diff now be lucky your older , i live in canada and ye it happens

  • But it is my business if people, young people, are breaking the law in the area I live in. Don't preach to me about the world, I know I'm lucky to be a bit older as I may have been sucked into shit like this if I was younger. I'm lucky I come from a good moral family background, even though it was working class.

  • shut up u fat bitch, quit complaining about sumthn that is none of ur business

  • I consider it my business if it is going on in the community I live in.

  • It's called life get used to it....

  • Such an intelligent response.

What a shame that that is all you think there is to life. I hope you have a wonderful one.

  • I've found that too, that is all some of them do with their days. It's surprising to people like us who do things with our time, like work or have hobbies.

  • well just so you kno switch blades are illegal in the uk so you should locate the local police and tell them wat bus it was wat time and day and they will get the bus company to give them the video from on the bus and the police will arrest her

  • Thank you. I do know that switch blades are illegal in the UK (as it carrying ANY blade or knife). Also, I was on a very old bus that had no cameras, so no point. Lastly, it happened over a year ago, but thank you anyway.

  • Hello, I have family in the UK & I have to agree that it is a beautiful country. But like all places, there are bad seeds... don't get discouraged, don't lose hope for the future. You did the right thing by not getting yourself involved with those girls, people are capable of beautiful things but also horrible things. Please don't blame or hate the knife for their behavior.

  • Thank you, what a lovely positive comment. I'm not losing hope, I suppose it was just a shock. Thank you.

  • your welcome, btw, I gave you 5 stars for bringing this to public attention, good job.

    :)

  • Thank you. It's just such a shame the the title of my video attracts those who are collectors (and maybe even users) of this weapon. Thank you once again.

  • I must confess to you that I use knives superior to a switch blade. When the general public watches a violent encounter helplessly, there are a few of us that may take action to protect with honor, in your country, I believe those folks were once called knights... most of us practice these old ways in the form of martial arts to develop character. I hope this comment doesn't make you feel bad. Take care

  • No, that doesn't make me feel bad at all. Martial arts is all about control and discipline and defensiveness rather than offensiveness. I appreciate your comments, it's just the people who use these weapons in a dishonourable way that saddens me. Take care.

  • cool! thanx for being so understanding.

    ;)

  • if you were that angry then why make a video? plus if u dont wana get on a bus, learn to drive. plus anyone who has sense knows that the top deck is full of cocks anyway, so dont go up there?

  • You Tube is a place where people can make blogs or diarys of any subject they wish, being angry is a reason to make a video! I will be learning to drive but considering parking anywhere here will cost you more than the petrol to get there it's not worth it.

  • Sad and scary

  • ? I think it's sad I really do. Maybe you'll never understand what it's like to live in a good community or town. Maybe you'll never understand that peace and the horrible reality when that peace is broken, and that's why you'll never understand why I put up this video and why I say what I said.

  • You have some valid points, but I find it such a shame that you should have to go day to day doing what you need to to survive. Why can't we just live? Why must we survive?

  • you need some people that who are capable of controling violence in your comunity to keep the peace so you can be safe , these people have to be able to be violent towards anyone breaking the peace unfortunetly when some guy beats a drug dealer or shoots a gangbanger in my country they get arrested for it

  • things like this happen, there r terrible ppl in the world. Its the good ppl that make the world worth while. Stay optimistic.

  • Thank you. It's nice to have a positive response. I am one of the good people and so are many people in my community and country, and the world as you say. I think the good outweigh the bad, it's just moments like these that bring me down, but not for more than a day. Thanks again.

  • There's a reason why people refer to weapons as "self-defense tools". If everybody had weapons, chances are nobody would do anything for fear of another person being armed. You should probly carry a weapon, too. I always carry two switchblades, a smiley (a bandana with a padlock tied to the end of it), and boots with spikes at the ends of them. Only one person has attempted to assault me, and he ended up losing 3 teeth after getting a smiley to the face.

  • MY screwed up contry! hey at least i dont have a queen that is a powerless figure head. and why dont YOU imagine that there are other contries than england, where people dont talk about how there going to get you, they just get you, and are not worried about the cops. try to see thing from my point of view. you go to the store scared of a kid with a knife, i go to the store scared of the gang that might rob the place.

have you ever been to the usa

  • Reply in two parts:

I have visted the US many times, but I would not like to live there mainly for the reasons you have stated. It is not too much to want to live without fear of people carrying weapons. I am aware there are many other places than England, I have travelled quite a bit of the world already and I have experienced many wonderful places where people live without fear for their lives and if confronted with a knife would be petrified. What is so wrong with that?

  • Do we all have to "go to the store scared of the gang that might rob the place."? I don't think so. Have you ever visted any place outside of the US? Also, there are still places in the US that aren't as you have described, so why must you go on about it.

  • wow a knife real scary, in america they come at you with guns, i pray for the day that a knife is pulled on me. if you relly want to relly be shocked, try looking the 9 in the eye. take a trip down to the USA then complain about a small blade.

  • For goodness sake. Don't you guys get IT? I don't like the the USA, I live in England, and growing up in quite a nice community, where our everyday civilisation didn't feel the need to freely own guns back then, so therefore you can't compare my complaints to your own screwed up country. Yes, a knife over here is scary, why don't you try and imagine that there are other countries in the world than your own. America isn't everything.

  • Have you considered that they noticed you watching and listening to them and decided to put you on? On the other hand, and "armed society is a polite society". Maybe that's why you keep your opinions to yourself? (while you eavesdropped on others)

  • There were many people on the bus and I was at least 5 rows away from them. There were many other members of the public that they were sitting next to, who were staring at them, so if they were putting on an 'act' then it would have been for the whole bus. That is also why I could not help but 'eavesdrop' as you say on them, because they were loud enough for the bottom deck to listen in on too.

  • Our society isn't ordinarliy an armed society and I don't see a need for it to be. I don't know where you are from but our society has been reasonably successful in it's law enforcement and polietness without so called 'arms'.(without it's normal problems and foilbles).

  • If law enforcement works so well, then why were you so scared? Cops rarely protect anyone, they just show up afterward and file reports. It is up to the individual to protect themselves. People should not fall into the false sense of security that big daddy govt will take care of them. It is an illusion.

  • I was scared as anyone would be. I wasn't 'so scared' as you say, I wasn't petrified, I was simply aware of the risk. Our society never used to be such a readliy weapon carrying one, and to be honest they were probably too scared themselves to use it. Our officers do their best to protect but they can't be everywhere. I've had good experiences with the law enforcement here in the UK.

  • I also am not in anyway believing that the government will look after me, it's the contrary actually. You do jump to conclusions quickly don't you!
