It's weird Nirvana turned down a Gibson endorsement in 1992, Krist played Gibson basses but Kurt couldn't find a guitar he liked I couldn't see Kurt ever playing a Les Paul but an SG sure... I would shit if I was offered free Gibson guitars that would be fucking awsome!

@motocarnage615 kurt didnt like the way gibson guitars felt while he was trying them out sometime before. kurt did recieve a blue sg from one of his friends inturn for a strat kurt had that he literally broke into pieces and duct taped it back together. lol ! that is a true fact

@motocarnage615 Actually Kurt often put away his "fine" guitars like the Jaguars and Mustangs when he was about to go berserk and brought a (not USA-made) cheap, low-quality Strat. But also his guitar tech had to fix his guitars on a regular basis because Kurt had a habit of smashing them.

@motocarnage615 He used basically Mexican/Japanese made Strats! He changed the SC Pickup in the bridge position to a Hot Rail SC Humbucker, to get more output! These guitars were mainly just bought for stage distruction. Greets

zberontas: pat probably didn't smash his guitars because his main guitar was a vintage hagstrom. he collects them, that's why i doubt he would smash it. i know kurt also gave him a blue strat that he used mainly for drop D songs. he still throws it over dave's drum set though.
