  • This is awesome my brother and I are using it in a little movie we made :)

  • I wanted to use this as an animated desktop, but the words "Moving Starfield with Background Stars" sort of ruins the looping effect. Too bad... I really liked this :(

  • I'll download it. I think I might use it as a background clip in a amv sometime. I'll credit you, if I can remember who made this by then.

  • OMG I am so using this for a video....you gave permission before...could I have it too!!!!

  • I would love to use this video in my own video and so I am asking if it is ok?

  • Yes. Please feel free.

  • I could watch this for a year and never get tired of it!

  • omg lol!!!

  • I think if we combine with the green screen will be great

  • Sweet Video Where did you get it?

  • It was created using Vue d'Esprit - a 3D graphics program. The stars were made by generating a number of light objects and then distributing them randomly in a cubic area in front of the camera. Then I animated the camera moving through the cube to give the impression of the stars moving past.

I think it still needs a bit of work because the background doesn't show through too well and the stars are all fairly uniform. I might have another go when I have some time - it takes ages to render.
