Kim Kaphwan actually first appeared in Fatal Fury 2, and was named after Kim Kap-hwan, the president and founder of Viccom, and founder of UnoTechnology (Unotac). Viccom was the creator of Fight Fever and The Eye of Typhoon, while Unotac only worked with Dec Company and SNK on the canceled KOF World / The King of Fighters Online.
