Okay, if I may ask, was Marlena possessed by Satan himself, or just by a powerful demon? The reason I ask is because I'm curious as to the identity of the hooded, red-eyed figure to whom the possessed Marlena spoke.

The black figure with the red eyes. Is it another demon or is it the devil? I mean when it shows up in Marlena`s bedroom Marlena is already possessed (her eyes re green and she talks to the black figure in her altered voice).

I like to think Marlena wasent possessed by thw Devil! I think she had a real Big Breakdown from the way Sami treated her and Roman leaving her. and what Stefeno did to her mind.

No she was pretty clearly possessed. People with 'breakdowns' don't levitate, change eye colour, etc. It's just fiction for pete's sake.

1995 was a tough year to be up for lead actress because you had Deidra Hall doing the possession story on Days, Susan Lucci was doing Erica's pill addiction on AMC and Erika Slezak was playing out the DID storyline on OLTL. Slezak ended up winning but I would have much rather seen Lucci or Hall win.

Deidre Hall was amazing through this whole storyline. This was the craziest thing ever on daytime, and Deidre was fabulous. Here's a weird observation... Ever notice how Deidre/ Marlena almost never wears the same thing twice...yet Marlena has had this pink robe since the late 80's? (It's true- go look at the 86 wedding footage, post-ceremony back at the Brady house!) LOL

WOW! Thanks SO much for posting these possession clips! :) This storyline really showed Deidre Hall's range as an actress. I'm hooked in much the same way as when this first aired.
