;-( The man who introduces The Animals in this video, Sir Jimmy Savile, veteran tv and radio presenter much loved here in the UK died at his home today (October 29), age 84. Not only a great broadcaster and personality, but also someone who gave a lot of his time for charitable causes. He'll be missed so very much. What a sad day! this man was a legend!
@magusmagic4 I remember Jimmy Savile from my first visit to England (back in 1964). He was a great guy all around. Radio and TV needs more guys like him. This live performance by The Animals is king tone.
Just brilliant...Brings back many memories of the Go Go club... Haymarket Newcastle..Just a great sound... Great band love it.. timeless.. Thanks for up-loading Cheers Graham
What a legend eric brudon and the animals, comes up with his geordie accent and then rips into a legendary bluesy rich voice.. such a shame that is modern day succesors from the same city such as Cheryl Cole are talentless.. who need to sync and voice enhancements and still don't sound anywhere as good as Burdon live with him and just his voice
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
This performance is absolutely stunning. OMG! Yes, we are definitely talking about melting. I CANNOT stop watching it. Eric's performance is unbelievable! The best!
@Moonielover46 I know it's seems to be a mixture of english and scottish, Newcastle really isn't that far from the Scottish border. it is a very sexy accent indeed!!!
@Wonka275 what i loved about the british invasion was the honors most ofthem paid to the great blues masters, not only John Lee but Muddy, Willie, Elmore, and Howlin Wolf to mention a few

what did the term geordie group mean?
jscalice292 4 months ago
@jscalice292 Geordie refers to people from Northumbria in northeastern England, including Newcastle upon Tyne, and the way they speak.
Reminds me...time to check for Premier League games, if any, this Sunday AM. 1-1-12

Poor Hilton. It seems like no guitar sound.
Alan quit less than a month later, too.
One of their best performances on video. Some much fun despite all the technical problems.

Thanks Magus,Eric Burdon & the Animals were the greatest band ever IMO.
It's the timing and intonations of Erics voice along with the great music.
I think he's at his best when singing the blues but I like everything he sang with the Animals.

I've always loved Eric Burdon and the Animals.
