  • Really happy that Christoph won, but Stanley Tucci was just as good! :)

  • wow, this lady actually got his nationality right! most people think he's german

  • though shes annoying and crazy, id like to ... her

  • This lady is So annoying..

  • this host is horrible

  • Woody Harleson should have won

  • @West49Dude13 NO WAY! Waltz deserved his Oscar more than all of the other nominees combined. Just my opinion, but that's evidently what the jury thought too.

  • Stanley Tucci was really creepy in Lovely Bones

  • CHRISTOPH WALTZ THE BEST

  • CHRISTOPH WALTZ <3

  • Waltz's performance is beyond great indeed, but he's not the sole reason why the movie "shines". The story, the acting team, the.. Everything was, simply, great!

  • I actually think Christoph Waltz is the only good actor in it. But well, that's just my humble opinion.

  • I agree, Waltz is great but Plummer is great too.

  • the films in this years Oscars are fucking lame! Sandra B? What a fucking retarded awards show.

  • I think she's 100 % wrong about Waltz's performance making that movie shine. the movie in it of itself was fantastic, Cinematography, and story and acting wise. It had all three parts put together perfectly, so don't go throwing around BS about how this or that was the reason the movie was good.

  • waltz owns all the way

  • i've been reading a month ago, that Stanley Tucci was nominated, fo the movie the lovely bones...but when i saw oscars,he wasnt...where is the deal?! i dont get it

p.s Christoph Waltz rocks...its true that he have acting ability more then pitts and clooneys, and those kind of silly actors

  • He was nominated. He's bald in real life so you might not have recognised him. He was very good in The Lovely Bones and I'm pleased he was finally recongised as an underrated actor. But I knew Waltz was gunna take it - he was brilliant

  • Christoph! Christoph! Christoph! EPIC WIN FOR Christoph!!!!

  • yeh it was a great film but when Christoph waltz wasnt in it it was lacking and I only truly loved the scene he was in. He was amazing. He was creepy and hilarious. The woman in this video totally ruined thats a bingo. Nobody should do it except Christoph Waltz.

  • he made the movie

  • Sure thing Standartenfuhrer Hans Landa deserves an 0scar.

  • i really and 100 % agree, that Christoph Waltz won the best supporting actor. i could never imagined how a person could speak in a vary language and in the right tone too!!!

  • mmmm no... i ll wait to see the oscars by another way.

  • so happy he won, such an amazing actor, so glad he got the recognition he deserves, an shes right waltz's performance was what made inglorious basterds so great, hans was a great mix of calm collected villany and charm, kind of reminded me of hannible lector or benjamin linus off lost

  • Christoph Waltz you are the best

  • "Thats a Bingo!!"

  • inglourious basterds filmextra was the best extrajob i did veryvery much thx to quentin tarantino ^^

  • Perfect the ONLY one that Earned his award! PLays an awesome bad guy!

  • i'm really glad he won, he is austrian like me :)

  • glad to see Christoph won. he was steller in the film, but i was worried they academy would pass him by because he played a nazi.

  • congrats for Christoph Waltz for winning the oscar!!!! WHOA

  • This Oscar had Waltz written all over it from the very beginning. A deserved victory.

  • Ch.Waltz deserved it so much!!!!!!!!!

  • christoph, he made the movie. it coul only be him, eating strudel with cram. he was scarry.

  • brad pitt was not crap u peice of fucking shit

  • oh dear!! the troll arrives!, look, go see a shrink, get your prepubescent anger issues out and then go and hang yourself quietly you dozy cunt! Christoph has more acting ability in his nose than Pitt will ever have. This film was 50% ok and 50% shit...now hurry along. *Piece

  • 50% ok and 50% shit... ur 100% retarded u dont even appreciate a gd film u probz dont even know who chris waltz is

  • what does a troll have to do with anything fucktard

  • Remember the sex offenders list! dont smudge your signature! like father like son eh!

  • if i ever saw u i wud tie u up and cut all your fingers off so u cud never masturbate again..coz i know thts all u do

  • Wizard!!! You are a smelly indian Troll!! Please go now..go now..LEAVE THIS PLACE TROLL!!!

  • You have obvious mental issues...a birth defect in addition I would imagine also!......Wizard????

    Mental

  • Super gemacht Christoph! Du warst wirklich der Beste !!!

  • yes indeed!

  • Waltz was flawless in IG. I was mesmerized by his performance in the same way I was enthralled with F. Murray Abraham's in Amadeus. Simply could not take my eyes off of their every move and my ears off of their every word. BRAVO.

  • Christoph Waltz MADE the film.

  • Agreed.

  • I didn't get to watch the Oscars, so I came home and checked immediately to make sure Waltz got his award. I do believe his was one of the most flawless performances I've ever seen. Everything about him in IG was absolutely perfect, from his courteous gentleman discussing his job with the French dairy farmer, to his giddy kid wiggling in his seat over his Bingo! I'm so glad he won--he totally earned it.

  • Love this movie and he is why!

  • @bobbruman

    Couldn't have said it better

  • i would go as far as saying it was the best performance of the year...there were several movies that i thought were better than IB, but his performance really did shine out, no other performance stood out as well as his did...

  • Well, what can i say? He deserved it, folks! Great acting and great movie, too! (I mean masterpiece...)

  • Congratulations to Christoph. Well deserved...he was THAT good and his first nomination too..

  • Love watching her mouth..

  • My favorite part was the milk scene when he was setting up his pen and ink haha. It's weird, but that kind of perfectionism gave me chills

  • i agree! is in those delicious details where the perfection of an acting and script are, cristoph was brilliant

  • yep waltz won.

    au revoir shoshana!

  • Herzlichen Glückwunsch !

  • grats, christoph

  • congretulations christoph ;)

    greetings from germany

  • Matt Damon...haha jk Waltz will win

  • Waltz gave me chills. He damn well better win.

  • Waltz. He just portrays that character so well. I get so creeped out when he exclaims, "OOH, That's a BINGO!"

  • Waltz, hands down. He deserves it more than anyone else in the category.

  • Waltz. If he doesn't win I'll be very very disappointed :(

  • christoph waltz for sure

  • Christoph Waltz!!!

  • Christopher Waltz, because bad asses should win

  • waltz shall win

  • christoph waltz will be a winer!!

  • Cristolph Waltz will definately win, one of the best performences I've seen. The other nominees are good too.

  • Christopher Plummer or Stanley Tucci.

  • stanley tucci

  • Waltz should win, no else deserve it then he does!

  • WALTZ

  • CHRISTOPH WALTZ !!! THE ONLY REASON WHY INGLORIOUS BASTARDS WAS A BADASS MOVIE !! .... till they killed hitler .. what teh fuck?

  • Christoph Waltz

  • Waltz should definitely win according to me. He was absolutely exceptional.

  • Christoph Waltz or Matt Damon

Woody was also good in Zombieland. I loved that movie.

  • I'll keep my fingers crossed for Waltz!

  • W-A-L-T-Z!

  • Waltz all the way

  • if Waltz loses I will have lost faith with the academy.

  • Landaaa...

  • Christoph Waltz will make it.

  • Col. Hans Landa aka: Christoph Waltz. HE WAS SOOOOOOOO AWESOME IN THIS MOVIE

  • " Au Revoir! Shossana!!"

  • ..no question..all the actors in this category did exceptional work this year..however Christoph Waltz was TRULY exceptional & simply breathtaking....took the art of acting to a new level. The academy should do what they did for Peter O'Toole & give Chris Plummer an honorary Oscar for his lifetime of great work.

  • @leanrunnerboy

What they did for O'Toole was a shame.8 times nominated and 8 times losing.

Honorary Oscar also known as the Loser-Ocar or the Pity-Oscar.

Give the man (O'Toole/Plummer) a real award or give nothing.

  • @Waackx

In a perfect world I would agree..O'Toole easily one of the best actors to grace this planet..should have won Best Actor for Lawrence of Arabia..!

  • WALTZ WALTZ WALTZ WALTZ WALTZ!

  • WALTZ!! He was a brilliant opening to Inglorius Basterds

  • waltz deserves it.

  • Christoph Waltz should win for supporting actor, no doubt about it. Personally, he was my favorite in Inglourious Basterds and did a awesome job.

  • Matt Damon

  • if there is any justice.......AVATAR must LOSE!!

  • @mistanature I totally agree!

  • Christoph Waltz lo tiene seteao (that's spanish for "Christopher Waltz has it set)

  • waltz definitely

  • @skylinepicturesinc i agree

  • Every-one knows that Waltz will win, However i must add that Alfred Molina should've been nominated for his role in An education instead of Matt damon. Damos performance is really not that great.

  • chris waltz is the winner

  • woody harrelson for not for the messenger but for his role in zombieland

  • Christoph Watlz. He was brilliant.

  • Dudes.. Christopher Walz was the main charakter of Inglorious Basterds wasnt he ? Its only because of his nationality that hes nominated in a supporting rule.

  • That's not true. Technically, Brad Pitt is the main character.

  • only cause hes Brad Pitt

Walz is at least the second main charakter

  • @davalosfilm Melanie Laurent was the main character

  • @RyanLies No he wasnt, Shosanna was the maaiin character in Inglourious Basterds, Christoph Waltz was the Antagonist

  • Stanley Tucci

  • waltz must win! what a performance!

  • Christoph Waltz

  • Quintin tarintno look like a alien!

  • the only thing that makes inglorious bastards truly shine is kill hitler. What doesn't shine, well is the rest of the movie.Man from start to finish i fucking hate this movie. And please dont reply saying it was the best movie, you dont know movies, caz in the end, i really dont give a fuck.

  • mark walberg for THE HAPPENING

  • Chris Waltz!

  • waltz all the way. in the bag

  • christopher waltz he is best one..i saw his movie 5 times i told my frinds he will win and iam sure

  • Waltz for the win !

    Austria <3

  • I think Chistopher Plummer will win

  • I love Waltz, but my vote goes to Christopher Plummer

  • Christopher Waltz will win no snubs here

  • Clint Estwood an his overrated films...

  • Christoph Waltz should win, he deserves it!!!! He will win!!!

    Christoph Waltz FTW

  • ".....and the winner is.......Christoph Waltz

    for....Inglourious Basterds!!! "

    MATT DAMON....¿?

  • Christopher Waltz was the only thing that made inglorious bastders a good film

  • Christopher Waltz plays the best villian of the year , and he plays his roll very well.

  • fuck the bitch is so fucking annoying...

  • CHRISTOPHER MOTHER FUCKING WALTZ

  • Uh, Christopher Plummer!!!

    The greatest actor alive.

  • The only one I haven't seen is The Last Station, but from the nominees I have seen, there truly is no one more deserving than...

    MATT DAMON!!!!! ;-)

    Just kidding.

The Oscar has been Waltz's since Tarantino first cast him. A character like Hans Landa is an actor's dream role and the little nuiances that Christoph brings to him - the way he arches his brow or delightfully enjoying apple strudel - sells us the power of a real actor in the making. Can't wait to see him work with Cronenberg.

  • Christoph Waltz is a lock.

  • Christopher Waltz, no doubt.

Meiner meinung nach ist Christopher super!

  • Jackie Earl Haley for Watchmen should have been nominated.

  • CHRISTOPH WALTZ!!!

  • Christoph Waltz Man!

  • I didn't see any of the movies here other than Basterds, so Waltz gets my vote... biased perhaps?

Speaking of Jackie Earle Haley (sp?), I do wish he was nominated for playing Rorschach in Watchmen... such a fascinating character, I thought he did a great job.

  • i'm 100% sure that Christoph Waltz will win...

this is the only category that no one has doubts....

    .... i think

  • Christoph Waltz deserves the Oscar

  • Woody!

  • Harleson and Plummer are so overdue. Watlz's career will survive without the gold. It'll be close between those three.

  • Matt Damon!!

  • waltz! brilliant brilliant brilliant!

  • Pfft, Christoph Waltz

  • waltz

  • I'm pulling for Christoph Waltz too.

You get FIVE stars for Matt Damon's huge glasses.

  • Obviously, it cannot be denied that Christoph Waltz set the tone to "Inglourious Basterds" and he stole the show with the performance he did in that movie. He's going to win, unless the Academy wants to piss all the fans off and give it to Christopher Plummer. I mean, I wouldn't be upset because Plummer's had a great career that deserved more recognition than the Academy ever gave him.

  • WALTZ

  • waltz should win!!!!!

  • Christoph Waltz was the core of the show. Nuff said.

  • Off topic, but your hair looks great in this, Grace!

    On Topic, loved this segment!

  • I don't think Jackie Earle Haley was a child killer in Little Children. Just a pedophile.

  • christoph waltz

  • I CAN'T CHOOSE!

    Uh... WALTZ! WALTZ!!! YES.

  • Stanley Tucci was pretty awesome in the Lovely Bones

  • I love how people are laboriously attempting to figure out ways the other contenders could beat the virtually undefeated Waltz. This is one year where a left-field upset would be utter bulls.hit to an inconceivable degree. Give this award to the man who DESERVES it, and beans to the rest.

  • WALTZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the frickin way!

  • WALTZ FTW!

  • Christoph Waltz..

  • Christoph Waltz

  • Stanley Tucci! He was so fantastic in the Lovely Bones... he deserves it

  • Waltz was amazing

  • It has to be Waltz or Damon.. The rest was kinda crappy movies(Haven't seen The Lovely Bones yet, so maybe an exeption).

  • Inglorious Basterds doesn't really belong in the Academy Awards. That said, Christoph Waltz did a really good job and I think he deserves an Oscar. But ehhhhh, Christopher Plummer gave a fantastic performance as well. I don't know. It could go in any direction. I mean, this is the "Academy" we're talking about, so I'm willing to say the winner will totally come out of left field.

  • @TheDustyWilk I will have to disagree with you. Inglorious Basterds was an awesome film and does belong in the Academy Awards. Most people would agree with me on that. Tarantino's fantasy ending to WWII...who wouldn't want to see that?

  • Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie. Inglorious Basterds WAS an awesome film, but there are plenty awesome films that are made. I think the most "awesome" film I've ever seen was Equilibrium (2002 w/Christian Bale) but it was by no means Oscar material. Same deal with Inglorious Basterds; it really was a summer movie. I think maybe Tarantino should win for Best Director or Screenplay (and again, Waltz was freaking amazing), but the film could not escape the definition of a summer movie.

  • Christoph Waltz, hands down.

  • Christoph Waltz. duh...

  • Christoph Waltz!!!
