Do you know if you could bolt the 8.1 Intake manifold to an MK5/6BBC? Can you use a forged BBC Crank/pistons/rods in it?

That truck is bad ass! My wife and I just got an Avalanche 2500 with the 8.1L in it and that thing has got some good power and it is all stock. I plan on chipping it and doing intake and exhaust and maybe putting in electric fans. Other than that I dont know for sure what else I will do if anything.

I had an Allison 5 speed with SunCoast Converters stage 3 clutches and a custom 2800rpm torque converter built by M&M converter.

My Dad has the '01 3500 W/ the 8.1L and it doesn't sound near as good as yours. What exhaust are you running.

oh and his truck hasn't had any problems, although it has only 35k on the clock

Headers, no cats, cutouts, with circle track header mufflers on the cut outs. It was way too loud with strait cutouts.
