You should better watch some tutorial-videos rather than making 'em. And IF: Set the aperture of Your movie-camera to a smaller aperture. 50% of Your video is not in focus.
And read the manual before trying to teach people about a product You do not know.
Hi, I just bought t3i yesterday. Can somebody help me what setting should I use to photograph a firework? I used to have a point and shoot camera and there is a firework setting already used in it, but I can't find any on my t3i... help! :/
hi nice to see i learn a lot.. can i ask how to set the video of kiss x5 thank you..if i take a video 8 sec. then it will stop..plsss can u help me...tnx...
The HDMI cable allows you to view your photos and movies on your computer monitor or flat screen TV if they have HDMI inputs. It's not for transferring photos to your computer. It's only for seeing what you see on your camera's LCD screen on your TV or computer screen. It works well. I do it to analyze slow motion video playback frame by frame.
HDMI does not transfer photos to your computer, that thing in the front is the speaker, not the microphone and the wheel next to the viewfinder is NOT for aligning the middle of the viewfinder.
great help dude but I screwed up before seeing this video. I'm a 20+ yr tech and prefer to know how things work and what all the buttons/dials do worst than a kid in a candy store. I already rolled that -/+ dial you said not to touch. Would you please help me make sure I have it set right now that I moved it? I love your video cuz I'm more into details. Thx so much. I want to sell stock photos & my lighting into the camera is not right yet.
Dude you are the man, please keep doing this because most of these guys don't have a clue, Starting with me, New to this camera and now i feel like a pro, LOL Thanks again.
You did a GREAT JOB on this inst. video! thanks so much, I will review this a lot and try to learn! this is a great camera, but l'm not a great photographer ... YET!!! thanks again!!!!
the little wheel by the viewfinder is a diopter adjustment wheel, with a range from +1 to -3 diopters, you SHOULD use that if you wear glasses (with a range from +1 to -3 diopters) and want to look through viewfinder without them... also if you wear glasses that are not within the +1 to -3 reach, you can buy dioptric adjustment lens... just FYI (thumbs up, so people can learn something)
@daneczech my vision is changing to need reading glasses more so this is very important info for me. My trade always related to technology study, reading something, etc and now photography setting up micro stock photos. I want to enjoy doing this and not be left out cuz of vision problems. Thank you so much for your info. It means a lot to people like me who still has dreams of doing great photography. I will go study diopters now plus figure out how to work with that dial to help me.
@RedBird1997 ISO is the sensitivity of the chip to light (higher ISO=more light), but higher the ISO is, more noise you`ll get. you must balance the ISO with shutter speed and aperture...
@RedBird1997 if the shutter is slow, you let more light in, but everything that moves will be more blurry... you use slow shutter in low light or if you want to get special effect... also you must balance the shutter speed with ISO and aperture...
i think dslrs look really complicated (at least to me..) but if you really understand what each function represents, there's shouldn't be any realllly hard difficulties.
My brother has a camera and when I was borrowing his camera, I touched the wrong function so...he got pretty upset with me...But now, after watching this video, I learned a lot :D
Camera's have a lot of functions that are amazing yet really hard to understand. I think I have to re watch the videos in order to master the skills and functions on a complex camera
This is such a cool camera! My dad has one and he showed me how to use some parts of his camera. It was neat to learn what all the buttons do in the video too. I never realized that there were so many settings.
great opportunity to learn about DSLRs because I just recently got one and I was so confused, didn't know how to use it effectively. this tutorial helped me so much
I've always wondered on how to use a DSLR; now, I can definitely take photos with one to its full use! I had no idea on how to control exposure functions (like the aperture number, ISO setting, and the shutter speed) before, for an example. This is definitely going to affect my photography skills in the future!
This video was definitely helpful. I was always interested in photography but did not have enough skills and knowledge to buy and actually utilize a dslr. Now I understand everything so much better!
i didn't know what to do with all the buttons and all the available functions but this tutorial helped to a lot! And now i think i am confident enough the adjust the camera as i want!
This video helped me understand how to use DSLR Camera, though I had no idea before watching it. I think it will be so nice to take a good photo if I hane this camera. I really want one....!
This video was very helpful because it cleared up a lot of confusions I had with my camera when taking the checkpoint 1 photos, and when taking photos in general. I learned about a lot of new functions that I previously did not know, and I'm excited to learn more through experience!
dslr is really cool. so many features and effects you can use. it's really complicated and complex, but i think once you get used to using it, you will be able to take really good photography. I really want one..
I never knew there were so many features to the DSLR. To me, DSLR cameras were just known as the "big" cameras, but I never knew they were so complex. There are so many functions and different things you can do with the DSLR to create such diverse photos. They look like so much fun to use!!
My dad has a Nikon DSLR, and I used his camera for a few times before. I noticed that it has pretty much the same buttons as the one that is shown in the video, especially the dial button/mode wheel! The problem was I did not really know how to change the settings like the ISO or aperture, but thanks to this video, I managed to distinguish the buttons in the camera even the smallest ones!
I'm not at all a guy that WAS interested in photography, but how you can use a small yet such a powerful device to capture light itself(light that comes from the sun and reflects all over the earth) in so many different ways to see the beauty of the world around us, it's just outstanding. Looking at this, there's 2 things I wish for, a DSLR :), and the passion and dedication to master photography so I can show the people around me how magnificent this world can be in different perspectives.
I WISH I HAD A DSLR.... there's so many functions and options... it would be nice if I can fully understand and know well the many properties of this camera so that I'll be comfortable using it~
I've only very recently bought a DSLR, so I NEVER knew how many settings it contained. After watching this video, I now know a little more about the camera, and its settings, as well as all the buttons, and after I familiarize myself with them, I'm sure I'll be able to use the camera more efficiently and effectively!
I owned my DSLR for about two years, yet all along those times, I've been negligent towards many available functions of my camera. I just let my self be content with the Auto mode. But that's not the case now! I think I got more attached to my camera through this manual.
Whenever I use a camera, there are so many buttons and options to choose from! It's really overwhelming, so I tend to use the Auto settings instead of manual. Now, I can choose to use settings manually!
This was really helpful in understanding the 600D DSLR. I think it might be challenging for me to remember all the different options we have for the settings we can choose for good pictures but I look forward to taking pictures with this camera.
This is a great video about how to use a DSLR camera, and I learned so many things that I didn't know how to do. It is cool that we can change the aperture, ISO and the shutter speed so easily, and I am now more looking forward to using the DSLR and learning more about it!

"Made by a photography teacher for his students." Poor students!
People making "training"-videos without having read the manual and having no clue, what they are talking about...
As daneczech already wrote, the little dial at the viewfinder is for diopter adjustment. "Never touch this!" ts ts ts ...
The little wholes at the back is the speaker for video-Playback, not the microphone. The microphone is at the front.
The explanation of spotmetering and it's use is explained wrong.
