  • were is Nirvana, that should be #1!!! i mean come on Nirvana is the king of Grunge.

  • This is a fairly good list but like the other guy said three days grace and seether should be in here and as much as i love chevelle they arent post grunge so they shouldnt be in here and NICKELBACK SHOULD BE IN HERE

  • i cant see seether and silverchair here . learn something about music mate ......

  • @1967BlueEyedTrol1994 Seriously? Go click that thing that pops up at the beginning of the video! There's a revised edition!

  • where is the THREE DAYS GRACE and SEETHER ? FCK YOU MAN!

  • @fenderolympicwhite Seriously? Go click that thing that pops up at the beginning of the video! There's a revised edition!

  • i know what alternative rock is but then when i heard of alternative metal i already knew exactly what it was and i was right, alt. metal is very similar to post grunge

  • Audioslave are not post grunge, they are hard rock/alternative metal

  • I don't get "post-grunge". Is this just a post 90's bands list or is Post-Grunge an actual genre? They sound similar, but I don't get the term

  • @LoopeeTV post grunge is actualy a genre, i dont know about the genre, but the songs on this videos sounds like alternative rock...

  • @carlosalford thought so lol. so what does post-grunge sound like? closer to grunge?

  • @LoopeeTV i just listened a little bit of both and the difference i found is that post grunge has more distortion kind of smell like teen spirit, and rock alternative is a lil bit more pop and clean, but the concept, the feelings are close, i guess...

  • why do people forget about fuel?? one of the best bands..

  • This was asome music back in the day. My favorite band was breaking benjamin fucking asome band and still are its just i moved on to other gener of bands. But my point here is that old rock music was much more bad ass than these days music it fucking stinks as fuck.

  • yeah..more alternative rock than Grunge for me, nice list though

  • Nickelback was missed:(

  • is Muse post grunge? If so, you missed an important band

  • @poptart2345 no, Muse are not post grunge, Muse are more prog rock or symphonic rock

  • wheres seether

  • uhm...where the fuck is seether?!

  • gay music.

  • TRUSTcompany?

  • I just fucking saw a video that had SKILLET as a grunge band what the hell?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

  • all of these bands are trash, listen to Nirvana, The Melivins, not this horse shit

  • MMMM-GRUNGE XD

  • WHR"S MWK?!?!?!?!\

  • lol.... is this a grunge? i think they are all boi bands dude hhaha!!!

  • where is Seether? =(

  • chevelle is alternative metal first of all , and what's with the all american list?? wheres live? bush ? hell , where's FUEL ! foo fighters , heck even papa roach from infest album :) some of those aren't even post grunge..

  • @TheProfir

Can we all chill for a second... look at the date bro! It was a year ago this was posted... I was 15, and one day I was bored and decided to make a list of bands I liked... i thought, at the time, they were Post-Grunge... okay?

  • @cbaby74 ok :) was just just stating my opinion

  • @TheProfir what about Tantric, I think they do pretty good

  • @TheProfir no... none of the bands on this list are close to being metal

  • @TheProfir yes...where the hell is FUEL?!

  • @TheProfir lol post grunge bands are dust for life, slow roosevelt, sevendust, pinpoint, drowning pool has some grunge songs

  • BTW, I appreciate your list because its what you like. This music just isn't my cup of tea, but I was curious to see what you would put. I'm a little shocked you didn't include the Foo Fighters. What's more post grunge than Dave Grohl the drummer of Nirvana taking the vocals for another act? I guess it depends if you still consider them a grunge band. They have been for around for a little while.

  • After seeing this list its clear to me that all of these bands suck except for Audioslave. At least they resemble Soundgarden and Rage. Staind had their moments too I suppose, but music has gone so far downhill since the grunge era ended. This list is depressing when I start to think back to how much better music was only 15 years ago. Guess the day the music died was Layne Staley's death. Seems like the stock market for music crashes there and declines steadily.

  • great picks

  • I think you did a good job, these are your favorites, not trying to poll the world. Man a lot of people seem to be taking your list of faves personally. I liked a lot of the list, thanks.

  • the only post grunge bands here are. Puddle OF Mudd, Audioslave and Creed ... where are Seether ?!?!?!? OMG

  • I think your list is pretty good compared to some other ones I've looked at,I love Seether though, they are awesome.Definately need to add them.

  • Comment removed

  • I've never heard or like 3 of these songs or bands, or 4, I can't keep count.

  • Chevelle For ever!!!!!!!!!!!! Great list!!!!

  • Post-grunge is the most pointless genre. I love all these bands but there is no way I would consider any of these post-grunge...

  • mmm none of thouse bands are post-grunge.. maybe Audioslave because they have Chris Cornell and Creed.. but i would put: Days of the New, Silverchair, Bush, Fuel, Seether, Candlebox, Foo Fighters,...

  • Umm, where is bush or candlebox, breaking benjamin?? Shinedown?? REALLY?? I don't even think shinedown is post-grunge, i would put seether on here before them, at least remady is a post-grunge song.

  • @Grunge11063

This video was made almost a year ago... chill bro, in a years time I've listened to a few more bands...

  • @Grunge11063 Make your own video if it bothers you so much... No one cares!

  • @Grunge11063 Breaking Benjamin is first in the video... Shinedown is post-grunge if you ask me ...

  • damn post grunge sucks

  • @fossilbox1991

Wow, and you're the douche bag who comes to a video solely to trash it... Who really sucks here?

  • @fossilbox1991 i'm not a post-g fan, but it's stupid to say what you said

  • @fossilbox1991 fuck you bands like dust for life, sevendust, red, thats real grunge bands

  • @fossilbox1991 alice in chains where grunge and post grunge died out in the 90s there is no more bands that call their selfs grunge that much as for 2012

  • So what's the difference between Post Grunge and Alternative Metal? Because I see no difference.

  • @orfenandanarchy

The biggest difference is that Post-Grunge has a cemented style and time period, Alt. Metal changes in sound and style by the time period... in the 90's however, Post-Grunge and Alt. Metal sort of melded together for awhile... which is evident in these bands... For instance, Smashing Pumpkins could be considered Alt. metal, but I wouldn't call them Post-Grunge because they don't encompass many aspects of Grunge in their music...

  • @cbaby74 have you ever heard zero or bullet with butterfly wings?

  • crossfade back in the good days......

  • i WAY prefer grunge guitar solos then any other rock gengre

but on the badside their drummers never get much to do

  • Yo! you forgot Seether bro \m/

  • Dude...I'm watching the video over and over again, trying to find Candlebox in there, but it seems you forgot to include CB on your list!!!...anyway, great video, and thumbs up for East West...thank you

  • Thumbs up for CROSSFADE!

  • nice vid man !

  • Where's Cold?

  • @laneryda Cold's in it

  • @foodstampsandmagnets

No, I think they mean the band Cold... the "Cold" in this video is a song by Crossfade

  • @cbaby74 ohh

  • Not bad but before Post Grunge was Alice in Chains,Nirvana,Pearl Jam,Mother love bone,Soundgarden, and etc. Sorry my mind won't let me remember all the bands.

  • excellet list. I love all of the bands specially CREED, but i do think fuel should be on the list. Love them to! Cool list. If you guys like creed check out my library of videos of them. Check out their new album full circle. Overcome is the first single.

  • Comment removed

  • dude im so glad creed is on this list i love creed

  • what about 32 Leaves? Thts a great band but i like the list

you gots good taste in music

  • and nirvana,colective soul,pearl jam,alice in chains? wtf t?

  • @funnynirvana123

They are GRUNGE, this is POST-GRUNGE... meaning, these bands are who came AFTER them...

  • @funnynirvana123 Nirvana are grundge

  • Could you do a list with foo fighters they basiclly inveted it

  • although they have become commercial crap as of late, nickelback should b on, and how can u make a list w. audioslave but w.out foo fighters? and the obvious no brainer is seether. i cant say any post grunge list would b a post grunge list wen they r the band that most defines the term. grunge covers- check. kickass frontman- check. so-so guitar- check. i seriously had a hard time on some of their song distinguishing between them and nirvana, not 2 mention in their nirvana covers

  • @philliyfanbo

I disagree about Nickelback... but it's just opinions... Also, check the Details... this is just supposed to be a discussion starter...

  • @philliyfanbo NIckelback is just rock without any style

  • I like most of these bands but I have one question. WHAT EXACTLY IS POST-GRUNGE??!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?! Call me stupid, but that won't help me know.

  • @HitsuLuver10

Post-Grunge literally means "After Grunge." It's just a Genre of Music that emulates Grunge (Nirvana, Alice in Chains, etc.), it is the genre that filled in the gap after most of the actual Grunge bands had died down... and if you listen closely, you can hear similar elements between the genres...

  • @cbaby74 Oh!! Thankyou!!

  • Thats a pretty good list , but dont forget Seether , Saliva, Cold, Mercy drive, Theory of a deadman, Nickelback and Fuel.

  • @MrAntiFarLeft

Meh, I like some of Nickelback's songs... but they just sound like a Copy of every other Post-Grunge Band... not original at all...

  • @MrAntiFarLeft You really need to come to Seattle, there still a lot of good bands around here, that would put your list to shame, you need to go to nemos up on the HILL, there still some good bands that play there.

  • @aerowayne1 alright then Wayne , ill meet you at Nemo's....your shout.

  • @MrAntiFarLeft Cool, let me know when. Are you buying, or are you still on the dole.

  • @aerowayne1 I havent been on the dole since 1994

  • My favorites include but aren't limited to:

Breaking Benjamin, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, Chevelle, Sick Puppies, Foo Fighters, and Bush. :)

  • BB ftw

  • my favourites are

    1. Puddle of mudd (best fucking band ever)

    2. Smile empty soul

    3. seether

4.alice in chains (if thats in the category)

    5. staind

    6. chevelle is pretty good but i dont really listen to them

  • @raquel1234ful

Alice in Chains is actually just Grunge... but good list... I had thought about replacing one of the bands with Seether... but changed my mind....

  • @raquel1234ful Agreed! POM RULES!
