  • Ich bin britisch, aber ich denke auch, dass deutsches Bier das beste Bier in der Welt ist.

  • My favorite is wheat beer, like Blue Moon. So if I go to Germany, what should I ask for at a beer hall?

  • @neosoc Weinenstephan

  • bestes Bier auf dem Planeten

  • I've had thousands of beers that are better than anything brewed in Germany and I've had hundreds if not thousands of beers brewed in Germany. It wouldnt be possible for me to list them all for obvious reasons. If you think of a German brewery there's a good chance I've had their beers. I've a WIDE variety of German beers so that's why I am in a position to comment. Want me to list thousands?

Your comment about pumpkin just shows you know nothing of the beers brewed outside of Germany.

  • german beer is awesome, the best in the world

  • @sask523

Nobody who knows anything about beer thinks German beer is the best in the world.

  • @tigerclawfan So tell me which you think is the best beer? Budweiser? xDDD

  • @hahanelsonhaha

Well there are hundreds of beers from US, Canada and the UK that are better than anything produced in Germany but the best beers certainly come from Belgium.

  • @tigerclawfan The only Belguim beer I know is De Konick.

It really isnt bad but I still prefer German or Czech beer but thats a matter of taste in my opinnion.

And by the way US beer sucks.

I once drank a beer called "Miller" and it honestly tasted like pisswater.

The worst beer I ever drank was the american Duff beer which I bought because I m a simpsons fan.

    I almost Puked.

  • @hahanelsonhaha So you're knowledge of Belgian beer is a single mediocre one but you're still sure German beer is better? For people with a knowledge of world beer- connoisseurs of beer, Belgian vs German beer isn't a matter of taste just one is simply better, although that's not to say German beer is bad.

  • @tigerclawfan Well i got to admit that I dont´t know much American beer. Im from switzerland and there are not so many kinds of american beer,

the "duff beer" was from America ( it was written on the bottle).

And De Konick isnt the only belgium beer i ever drank but its the only one i wanted to remember cause i liked it.

There are many collections of the "world best beers" in Amazon. I orderd one and look forward to try something new.

btw u inspirated me to it :)

  • @tigerclawfan Seriously, without insulting you, there is no way German beer can be challenged by Belgian beer. We have a larger varity and a longer culture plus better regions to grow the ingredients.

Maybe the Czech republic has with Urquell and regent a better Pilsner but Belgium, no way!

  • @1stAma

Your comment shows you know absolutely NOTHING about beer. To even bring up the Czech Republic is laughable.

Really one of the most stupid things I have ever seen posted on the Internet.

  • @tigerclawfan I hope you are kidding, the czech invented Pils and brought it to the max.

Seriously, how do you dare to say I don't know what a good beer is! Not just you question the unquestionable quality of czech beer but you also say that Belgian beer is superior to German!

For that everyone in Europe would torture you to death! Belgian beer has no depth! It is fun but more of harmless joke!

But please, what qualifies you to be an "expert" on European beer and what do you see as German beer?

  • @1stAma

The thousands of beers I have sampled from around the world, the brewing I have done myself for more than fifteen years or the decade of beer judging probably qualifies me more than most.

I can tell you now, with 100% confidence, that people who know a lot about beer would find your comments laughable. I enjoy a good pilsner but there are dozens of more interesting beers around the world. Czech beer is overall far behind German beer which is miles behind Belgian brewing.

  • @tigerclawfan I have read books by experts on all kinds of topics considering beer and they didn't find my believe laughable at all!

Maybe you have sampled thousand of beers but you must have a horrible taste when you really believe for yourself what you're saying!

  • @1stAma

Every other beer expert in the world must have the same horrible taste then.

Nobody is saying German beer is awful it's just very far behind the best beer nations in terms of variety and overall quality.

Please Google for an article called "The Trouble with German Beer", I can't link directly but it should be the first result if you search for that. It's a very excellent article written by a admitted lover of German beer explaining the various problems it has.

  • @tigerclawfan Bock, Schwarz, dunke, hell, weizen, stark, oktoberfest, pils, kölsch, doppelbock, rothelles just to name some.

These are brewed in around 1300 breweries, I can assure you, neither Belgium nor the US have such a giant variety.

But tell me which German beer did you try and about what belgian and us beers are you talking!

I read the "problems". Some of them are simply invented!

  • @1stAma

It's hilarious that you can't even contemplate that you might be wrong even though it should be clear from my posts that I know a lot more about beer than you. I have tried literally hundreds of not thousands of beers from Germany, including multiple examples of EVERY style brewed in Germany.

Your assurances that Germany has more variety of beer than the US and Belgium counts for absolutely nothing because you've demonstrated a total lack of knowledge of beers from those countries.

  • @tigerclawfan So, about the article. The author gets quite angry about the lack of knowledge of many Germans. Worse in the US and still you claim they have great beer!

He says Jopenbier contradicts the Reinheitsgebot! Maybe he should read the Reinheitsgebot first! Then he mentions Berliner weisse as bein innovative. The beer itself is a catastrophy!

He's talking about the mixing which by definition makes a Mischgetränk out of the beverage!

The guy doesn't know what he's talking about!

  • @1stAma

Except that there are thousands of books written in the English language on the subject of beer and only a handful in the German language.

There are hundreds of fantastic small breweries in the United States that take up a small but significant portion of the market. Most US states have a greater variety and quality of beer made in them than the Germany does in its entirety.

  • @tigerclawfan The USA has around 1200 breweries, Germany around 1300 on a much smaller territory! There are a lot of German books about beer, maybe you should do some research!

We never needed a micro-brewery revolution. Yours was a measure taken to fill the market made by the prohibition. We never had that situation!

So, you still didn't answer my question. What German beers did you drink and what beers are better!

By the way, just adding pumpkin to beer isn't equal to variety!

  • @1stAma

It doesn't matter how many breweries Germany has if they are all producing almost identical beers. There are SINGLE breweries in the United States that produce more variety and quality of beers than all the breweries of Germany combined.

The example I used before is like with bread. Many supermarkets make their own bread fresh in the store but it's often just a simple white bread. Do you really think 1300 supermarkets produce more bread variety than a few hundred artisan bakers?

  • @tigerclawfan Why don't you answer my question? What German beers did you try and which beers are better by your opinion?

At the beginning I really thought you knew what you are talking about but now you showed me this crappy text and don't even answer the easiest question!

You can't know beer that well if you think German beers are almost identical! I start to think you that you don't know what you're talking about!

  • @1stAma

I've answered your question twice now.

I've tried hundreds and maybe thousands of German beers, many examples of each style. Do you expect me to list hundreds or thousands of beer?

  • @tigerclawfan List me some of the best and most of all list some of those stunningly good belgian and us beers!

  • @hahanelsonhaha

If your idea of American beer is Miller or Budweiser then it's clear you don't know much about American beer. I would be like dismissing all of American food because of Burger King.

There's no one beer called 'Duff' but there are numerous novelties for Simpsons fans brewed in various countries - the most common one is brewed in Germany. If you bought it in Germany it's likely you drank the one produced by Eschweger - IN GERMANY.

  • @tigerclawfan

i think you have no idea of any local german beer

  • @arneschwarz1988

Except I have demonstrated a vast knowledge of beer and all the various Germans to post here have demonstrated that they dont know anything about beer. Move along troll.

  • @tigerclawfan

You have mentioned 3 different kinds of beer. The one you like is probably some piss water from your

irgnorant friends. I even cannot believe that you compare Belgium with Germany. The only time you hear something about Belgium is when another kid gets raped by a perverted belgium, probably this has something to do with your favourite beer... google for it... ;)

  • @arneschwarz1988

German in being a racist shocker.

  • @tigerclawfan

    ouch

  • @hahanelsonhaha duff is just a novelty beer. As for miller? Yes it is terrible, but there are some good beers made in the US

  • Can't link on YouTube as you know and not much point on linking when there are literally dozens of pro Nazi comments from you on the very first page of results. Go away creepy Nazi and stop disgracing your country.

  • @tigerclawfan google.de/

  • @tigerclawfan google. de/

stop searching excuses for your lies liar.

  • @tigerclawfan google. de/

stop searching excuses for your lies liar.

and if someone would really look it up. i doubt that you find any racist comments of me. because they dont exist. i wasnt racist towards you or anyone. you are the only racist around right now. not only a racist but also a fashist who doesnt feel ashame to use such NAZI-methods like you do. but besides of that, thanks for the somehow entertaining discussion we have, pal.

  • one link would be fairly adequate pal....not only because you cant but also because I have no time to search google. gotta bang the missus first....

  • hahaha,still no links liar?

  • Also it’s a bit much to expect people to believe that someone manufactured these quotes to smear you since they date back years. People will think it is highly improbable that someone, years in the past, could have anticipated that you would start an argument with them on YouTube in the future, and so pre-emptively post dozens of pro-Nazi smears across the Internet under your username over a multiple year period in anticipation of winning a minor argument still years away.

  • These are very much your quotes; anyone can perform a simple Google search of your username and confirm that. Your account ‘satanic666sonic’has dozens of comments on World War 2 videos here on YouTube. Further results show a user by the same name ‘satanic666sonic’ posting on Nazi memorabilia and military history websites about their love of the Nazi party of Germany. If you want to keep your Nazi love separate from your normal life you should have used different names, idiot.

  • you go one step to far. these are not my quotes. you are a hypocrite who puts time and effort into spreading lies about me? I guess it did a favour to you that im from germany. oh hey, lets spread some lies about him and blemish him a NAZI. obviously, you are the racist. and you should try to do something about your napoleon syndrome as you start attacking me, aspersing me and then pretending to be a victim? you are a pathetic wimp to act like you do when I was simply talking about beer.

  • All the more astonishing is that this guy has me arguing against German beer when I am a FAN of German beer and have certainly done a lot more to support the few quality breweries remaining than he ever has.

  • The high quality part of the Belgian brewing sector makes up a significant portion - 20 to 30% - and would be an even greater amount had your beloved Nazis not invaded and demanded their breweries switch to brewing lager to the taste of the occupying forces. The German breweries making high quality, unique beers could be written down on one hand, and make up less than 1% of total beer production. It is bizarre that you chose to turn an argument about beer in to one about Nazis.

  • @tigerclawfan you were the one to allude the nazis. end of our conversation, right here

  • More quotes:

“I liked the german army (or SS) during the Nazi occupation. i liked their uniforms weapons and tactics”

“[I wanted to get a] Nazi, and Imperial Japan flag and put one on the 4 sides of my room”

    “I love WWII”

“Damn Nazis take the coolest looking stuff”

  • “in the village i live in, in 1945 two allied ground fighters blasted a whole train with refugees from the east of germany.” A typical ploy of the Nazi is to try to justify their many crimes by talking about the insignificant ‘crimes’ of the allies.

“bring back the gas chambers thats what i say” Astonishing…..

  • “German persecutions to Jews Gypcies etc were just one of many of Europe the poles also persecuted Jews and Ukranians the Soviets persecuted various peoples aswell” Trying to justify the holocaust here?

“everything was build up by nazis, it is a role model for all the others today.” Nazis are your role models?

  • “Its a shame of what happened to Germany in world war 2” It’s a shame they lost the war?

“call them Nazi’s, but I think the majority of the military just was doing what they were told to do” It’s ok to murder civilians if someone orders you to?

“[Nazi’s were] People, just like us.” Just like you, maybe.

  • Pretty funny that 'satanic666sonic' claims he isn't a nazi when a simple google search of his username turns up numerous posts he's made on other sites where he denies the holocaust or talks about his love of German uniforms from World War 2. I thought holocaust denial was illegal in Germany?

  • ...you would come to the conclusion that you really dont know anything. and how do you expect me to take you serious when everything you do is bitching about how rude everyone is?

i mean you asked me to tell you my favourite beers, for you to review them....and im still waiting. all you do is talk random bla bla packed in a nice suit pal.

  • by the way, why is your opinion hard for me to grasp?? because I drink beer almost every day, its part of my culture. and only because some megalomaniac tells me otherwise i should change mine?? I also live near the belgian border, and their beers you are talking about, are only brewed in very small quantitys. if you would start to compare them to the german ones brewed in equivalent numbers instead of "warsteiner".

  • you are not able to show the quote. fact.

or is it maybe because you are too narrow minded to see the stupidity in your attitude??

  • @satanic666sonic

Your lies would be easier to believe if the posts containing them werent on the FIRST PAGE OF COMMENTS. idiot.

  • and by the way. you were the guy who brought up the nazis and claiming that they invented certain sorts of beer in belgium during the wars.

and how pathetic are you to accuse me of saying that while anyone can read in the coments below, that it was actually you who said it....

  • It's hardly a surprise that a user with the name with 'Satanic666sonic' would bring up AND DEFEND the Nazis on a video about German beer... what does that have to do with this? It's also hardly a surprise that a user with your name would attack an anti-racism activist. You are a disgrace to your country.

  • Satanic666sonic how hard is this for you to grasp? German beer is mediocre at best. Hundreds of breweries making the same half dozen beers. A few world classics in there that are hardly drunk in their native land. Why do you think all books written on world beer praise the beers of Belgium and the craft brewed beer revolution of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom etc? The sooner Germany realises the problems with its beer the sooner it can get to fixing them.

  • hahaaha, you said it again: IGNORANT. hahahaha, man fuck it. no further chatting with you

  • And that isn't a slight against you, as I doubt the head brewer of each brewery could pick his own beer out of the lineup either.

  • @tigerclawfan smart move pal. by the way, your opinion is nothing but subjective perception. you didnt even try to compare their characters or any other factor so i highly doubt your expertise. you didnt even mention the beers which you (supposedly) drank in comparison. instead you accused me of not beeing able to find my fav beer among others....how do you want me to verify it?? i cant, so does it mean im really not able too?? no it does not, but smart move pal.

  • @satanic666sonic

You are just so rude and ignorant of beer that you aren't worth dealing with.

  • I've had many Belgian beers with similar or less alcohol content to the beers you call your favourites and they each have a great deal more character than your favourites. I recognise that your favourite beers are not the mass produced beers typically drunk by so many of your countrymen but I don't believe they are of any special quality. I highly doubt you could pick out any of your favourites in a blind test with a lineup of five or ten similar beers.

  • Absolutely hilarious that to try and prove your 'beer knowledge' you start listing styles of beer obviously lifted off some website that you found including several that are absolutely under no circumstances brewed in Germany. Utterly pathetic.

  • I would like to state that I personally like German beer and would place Germany in my personal top 10 of beer nations. What I take issue with is being told by people who are ignorant of beer that German beer is somehow amazing or world class when they, like the vast majority of German people, drink the low quality mass produced beers. There are a handful of amazing beers in Germany but only a handful!

  • @tigerclawfan kidding ? there are over 1300 breweries in germany and even the "mass produced beers " in germany are better than most foreign beer. lacks variety pfff ...

best beer in the world comes from germany and thats a fact !

  • @DerMitDemBlunt

It certainly isn't a fact and it's something nobody with any knowledge would say.

Having 1,300 breweries means nothing if they are all making the same thing. If a chain of 500 bakeries makes nothing but a white loafusing your warped logic would they would have more variety in their bread than a dozen artisan bakers?

You know nothing about beer so why are you even making comments?

  • @tigerclawfan Ale

Altbier Berliner Weiße Gose Haferbier Kölsch Wieß Porter Roggenbier Stout Dinkelbier Weizenbier Emmerbier Exportbier Helles Lager Münchner Dunkel Märzen Pils Schwarzbier Schwarzviertler Gueuze Jo penbier Kriek

    Lambic Rauchbier Weißbierpils Hausbräu

just to name some different kinds of beer in germany. and now stfu cuze obviously ur the one dont having a clue what ur talking bout ... ( why do I discuss beer with an american the worst country for beer in the world anyway ... )

  • @tigerclawfan you wont find two brewerys in germany with the same recipe, pal.

  • @tigerclawfan you wont find two brewerys in germany with the same recipe, pal. and the majority of the germans drinks the beer of their local brewery, and even these have a much better quality than

  • @satanic666sonic

Most beers in Germany are indistinguishable from each other. The vast majority of German beer drinkers drink the same handful of mass produced beers and not their local beer.

You clearly know nothing about beer so why bother posting? Go away now.

  • @tigerclawfan hahahaha, i even work in a brewery. dont make a fool outta yourself. and since you think that your taste sets the standard for beerdrinkers, you only make yourself look like a troll. have you ever been to germany?? i highly doubt that, expert. and i dont need your grace to post a comment.

the region where i come, drinks the beer from our brewery, an awardwinning pilsener.

  • @satanic666sonic

If you truly had a background in brewing as I do then you would know the things you are saying are obviously ridiculous. It’s clear to the rest of the world that German beer lacks variety and quality and that it is dominated by a handful of mass-produced swill beers.

Just another German beer fan who would lie instead of argue properly.

  • And yes, I have been to Germany plenty of times. One of the absolute worst things about Germany is going to the towns and villages where the few truly unique and special beers are made and finding that all the locals are drinking the same crap like Warsteiner.

  • @tigerclawfan by the way, warsteiner is not very common in our region. and why do you even judge a beers quality by the habits of the drinkers?

  • @satanic666sonic

In every part of Germany the dominant beer is a mass brewed lager on the same level as Warsteiner, it doesn't actually have to literally be Warsteiner. Your second sentence doesn't even make sense, could you rephrase it?

  • The thing with Germany is that 99% of beer produced there is boring and most of it is virtually tasteless. There are a very small number of unique and interesting brewers making something worthwhile but they are tiny in number relative to the number of good brewers of other nations. It wouldn’t even matter that German beer stinks if German beer drinkers weren’t so patriotic and insistent that it is the best and that the rest of the world has nothing to offer.

  • @tigerclawfan never said that the rest of the world has nothing to offer. but since beer from northern france and belgium is mostly a very diluted and light pilsener, your comment doesnt make any sence or at least is based on totally wrong assumptions.

  • @satanic666sonic

The predominant beer in Belgium is pale lager just like in ever other country in the world, and in Belgium's case it was introduced forcibly by your country during your invasion(s) of it. The key though is that Belgium has a retained a significant number of traditional breweries with thousands of unique and special beers that put your country to shame. Any true expert of beer would know that. Your ignorant comments on their beer only show what a complete fool you are.

  • @tigerclawfan fuck you talk so much bullshit, i dont know if i shall laugh or cry!?! the nazis brought lager beer to belgium??? AHAHAHAHA, you are the fucking biggest ubertroll ive ever met!

  • @satanic666sonic

Is your troll gimmick that literally everything you say is incorrect and anyone who responds to you gets called a troll? You know nothing about beer, you are a joke.

  • Satanic666sonic in his ignorant bliss like a person who eats Burger King 3 meals a day and thinks he is a connoisseur of food and all other food is awful.

  • @tigerclawfan you are the fail who cant even argue properly. moreover, are you claiming things I never said, and things that are plain wrong. considering the almost hostile comments on your channel page, I guess its not the first time you troll around and simply try to annoy people.

  • "Satanic66sonic" is like an American who eats Burger King every day of their life insisting that American food is better than the food of every other country in the world and citing Burger King as an example of high quality American food. As I have said many times before there are a few good beers produced in Germany but if your idea of beer is the beer equivalent of Burger King then you've likely never heard of them and you should just shut up and go away.

  • Comment removed

  • I read an article recently that made the point that there are less than a handful of books on the subject of beer in the German language. It's incredible that a nation that consumes as much beer as Germany is so ignorant of it. It's almost like a mental condition that German people have where they maintain this incredible ignorance of beer and insist that their country makes the greatest without any frame of reference or knowledge of beer.

  • Please share with me "Satanic666sonic" what your favourite breweries are and I will give you my opinion of their beers as its' highly likely I've drunk them.

  • @tigerclawfan for a pilsenr its simply a "Kirner Pils" and the "1789" version of it. and for wheat beer its clearly the one of the "Fässla Brewery" in Bamberg, or maybe their "Goldpils". my problem with your choice is, that i think that belgian beer isnt more tastefull but only brewed with more alcohol, which naturally gives it a stronger taste. but for me the taste has to derive from the original wort and not from the alcoholic content.

  • There are single villages in Belgium with more good beers than your entire country.

  • @tigerclawfan you wont find two brewerys in germany with the same recipe, pal. and the majority of the germans drinks the beer of their local brewery, and even these have a much better quality than beer you can purchase elsewhere

  • It's funny that Germany understand its own beer purity laws less than other people. There is nothing in there about clean water I am afraid, you could use sewage if you wished, what it does however do is stop experimentation with ingredients, which is something that has given beer in Belgium, the UK and the US much more variety and quality. What Germany does well, it does very well, but I am afraid the variety in Germany is so little that germany is actually something of a 'beer wasteland'.

  • @tigerclawfan

Actually Germany has the highest rate of variety of beers.

  • @GermanOpenings

Actually I am afraid you are FAR from being right on that one. Please Google for the article "The trouble with german beer" and learn a little on the subject.

  • @tigerclawfan Adding artificial flavours does not amount to a new sort of beer!

  • @KripkeSaul What beers with artificial flavourings are you talking about? Do you actually know anything about beer at all? You come across as incredibly stupid.

  • @tigerclawfan Two things: I doubt your expertise on local German breweries that produce for a couple of dozen customers. Second, define variety.

Ahh, and third. Whatever your views on variety of German beers are, variety does not equal quality. Your "expertise" amounts to nothing if you do not mention Czech breweries, which by the way have mastered Pilsen style beers. To call Germany a beer wasteland just shows your state of mental retardation.

  • @KripkeSaul

Does 'variety' require definition? It should be clear that when I refer to variety in beer I am talking about beers that taste different to each other and cover a wide variety of tastes and styles. Brewery after brewery producing beer indistinguishable from the next shows Germany lacks variety and is a beer wasteland. The 'mental retardation' comment appears nothing more than a childish insult from someone who is embarrassed their lack of knowledge has been revealed.

  • @KripkeSaul Why does the Czech Republic require special mention when it isn't even a rival to other nations in terms of variety and quality? If I was to have mentioned all the countries equal or greater than the Czech Republic in my early post I would have exceeded Youtube's comment character limit several times.

  • my favourite beer =)
