You have some serious denial issues mein Freund. The truth is the truth. While Germans did do much of the "Hands on Work" in rebuilding the country, (Less after thew second war), please don't pretent that it was German Money. Especially since the Reichmark was all but worthless in May 1945.

My grandparents helped rebuilding Germany, by making ruins to houses again and by building a little company, so just shut up, when you don´t know anything about german history.

The immigrants came in the 60s during the Wirtschaftswunder and yes they helped us, but they didn´t go then and moving their families and asylants into our land doesn´t help us really much.

Face it, having your country completely destroyed is traumatic and would leave even the strongest minds in a state of disbelief.

Actually an american historian once noted that if the same devastation would ever hit the United States it would never be rebuilt. It took the hardworking, unified, organized German people to do it! The first "guest workers" were not even introduced until the early 1960's! By that time the rebuild of Germany was basically complete. And the "guest workers" were mainly employed in the coal mines of the Ruhr area.

I must have been fooled by all of the Marshall Plan propaganda that the Federal Authorities in the BRD (West Germany) kept throwing at us. All of those valuable Reichmarks had post war German rolling in dough, making the need for foreign aid completely unnecessary and redundant.

The Marshall plan was developed to make credits easier for Germans to rebuilt their country, and as we all know a credit has to be payed back. We payed back every cent, and you didn't give credit because you were unselfish saints. You had your onw strategical interests in this, because of your upcoming cold war with Russia.

In the end it were the Germans themselves who rebuilt their country and no one else.
