In Sanskrit literature names of hari vishnu ending with consonant "i" denote female forms while "a" denote male forms. Mohini and Kalki end with "i". These are female names in ancient mythology.While Krishna, Ram are male forms. For "Kal", the female opposite is "Kali" or adding a k , it becomes Kalki. There are lots of translations of the Kalki Puran available, but in garuda puran, Kalki is feminine character.
