As for me I watched every single entry now and tried to leave a comment on each one...only took me 3 weeks, hahaha! I'm not even going to try and come up with a TOP 3 as every entry was cool in its own way.

I also feel that a lot of people weren't true to their musicianship and constructed a song rather than jamming and feeling the music in one take. It's unfortunate that there is no way to tell. if you did your best at showcasing your talent, then you are a winner regardless...I enter these contest not to win...but to meet new players with similar interest in blues or what ever....i grew up listening to the ventures, the shadows, and everything blues...so I'm basing my favourite on melody and sense of phrasing...thats great guitar playing....i treat it like a session in the studio....flip down the screen on your laptop...and then listen..."listen with your ears"...you'll be surprised.

Most likely its because they have nor listened to all the entries. I mean think about it 400 entries X 1 minutes and 40seconds that would take around 11 hours I believe just to listen to them all one time through.

Them has no pro-judges, was open to vote for all. And when you cover some Deep Purple, trying to play 'as Richie plays', improve, and finally see that winner just play 'highway star' short guitar solo - it disappoint :-D

I agree a few of who some are voting for are ok, BUT I've prob viewed at least 3/4 over the past 3 weeks and being I've played guitar for over 30 years I would have to say I've seen some amazing players, but not one I would have rated as a contender have been voted for...not once! I'm guessing the judges will vote with their ears and experience :)

The Judges did say - Please post "YOUR top 3", as in a personal favorite. I personally Liked Brian Auer's the best because he has a great combination of all the goodies from my favorite players seeping out in his playing, but in his own style. He has amazing chops, great tone, great improv skills, and a very soulful approach to shredding that stands out above the rest to me.

But that's just what I like ;-b

How can people pick their top three favorites without listening to them all, it makes no sense? I wish everyone luck, I'm sure it will be very hard to decide with so many entries. I feel bad for the judges, they have a very difficult task in front of them listening to all the entry's. It is a very time consuming process, I tried to go through as many as I could and it took quite sometime. However I did subscribe to some guitarists I had never seen before and have made some new friends.

I really do think the Guitar is the most versatile instrument. The Guitar can produce so many sounds! I love a piano, sax bass, drums,etc. but they are limited to the different sounds they can produce. The guitar can sustain notes or bend them like bomb explosions. The Guitar can make you cry just listening to an emotional acoustic composition. The Guitar can Rock, Scream, talk, Girls love guitar players and play it some guitarists are even considered GODS. I say save a tree and make a Guitar!

After watching the 421 videos, I realized that it is difficult to give only three winners.
