This is one of the first episodes I ever saw as a kid and I recalled every bit of it! I like how Pink alternates between being the character that is picked on during the episode to the one who gets his way. This episode is definitely one of the former. I can't help feeling sorry for him, even if the money he spends was not rightfully his, as commented before: he obtained it because he was cheated out of a coin to begin with.
@BigBlueBeast I think it's because the money he was spending wasn't rightfully his. These cartoons all have a clear moral message, at least most of them do. Back then they knew how to make something educational and yet still hilariously funny. Unfortunately that's a forgotten art.
At 2:19 that kid is a really jerk!

This is what hell must look like: all the time, you think you're going to have fun, but every time it turns against you.

@hardcharging Because they oil the crane so everything it catches slips away. Basically it's that the reason.

I loved this episode as a kid... it made me want to find a quarter and go to the arcade in the 80's.

Why is it that on these episodes the music is a half step higher than the originals? Were these sped up or something?

It's because they've changed the music on the late 1970s shorts
Doobie1975 1 year ago
@Doobie1975 They had a different set of composers; originally it was Bill Lava, then Walter Greene. By 1978 it was Steve DePatie and Doug Goodwin
