That's why if you eliminate profantiy, also known as vulgar language such as curse words, the movie can potentially be seen by a larger audience. Which in turn, can earn more money at the box office (movie theatre & the production company). The actors in the film are supposed to be paid either upfront, per conditions of their contract, or they are paid on the back end (they get a percentage of what the film actually nets), or they are paid half up front then the remainder after they're done

I've been around for quite awhile (I'm 36 years old), and yet, the price of a movie ticket in South Florida was $10.50 per ticket for an evening showing and $2 less that for a matinee. Each movie shown in major theatres today house a few hundred seats per theatre. Do the math! That's why a bankable persona is paid more .. to draw in viewers who pay to watch (view) the film. Furthermore, eliminating vulgar language or sex scenes out of film allows the film to be more acceptable (G rated)
