A big tarpon will spool it. You could probably catch any nurse shark on it.

Try ballyhoo or squid. They will hit fresh bloody fish chunks before they hit either of those.

holy shit..im from hawaii man...try look up..ulua fishing...we have huge jacks over here man...150 plus pounds....what pound testare you using and what type of bait? how big is the bait? is it fished on the bottom? what size lead? and what size hook? also what motnhs are good in florida? can you live bait?

We were using 50lb PowerPro. For bait we were using bonita strips. It was fished on the bottom. I was using a 5oz pyramid sinker. I was using 4/0 Owner Mutu Light Circle Hooks. This fish was caught in June. The mullet run in september is a great time to fish in Florida. Yes, you can use live mullet.

Yup I'm on the East Coast. Try fishing off the piers in Venice, there's a lot of big fish that hang around them.
