  • Hey adjusterfrank, Did this come to the airport or your door.or facility...also how long did it take from order to opening? I am asking due to your comments on the smell of it? 1 more if you don't mind.. what was the total cost of the goods? Thanks.

  • @Glephniven The LR was shipped overnight to the Delta cargo terminal and I picked it up there. When you order from Live Rock N Reef, they get the rocks from the Gulf, fly them to Utah and then to the end consumer. So, the rocks have been out of the water for some time. I don't remember the exact cost but if you go to the site, it was the retail cost for the rock. The Buna rock comes from the Caribbean.

  • Hey bud, im just getting into the hobby and was wondering what did u rinse off the cherry primo with, RO/DI water or saltwater? I have not yet cycled my tank. So i dont hv established saltwater. Also Is it good to rinse it or just leave it as is and put in in the tank?

  • @illaddictmrm Thanks for watching and commenting. To answer, I made some saltwater with RO/DI water, about 5 gallons or so. Then, I dipped the rocks in the bucket just to get the loose debris off. Right into the tank after that. With the Promo Deco and the Buna Rock, my tank cycled in about 12 days. This might not be the same for everyone. Just test the water every few days to see where you are at. Hope all goes well. I look forward to videos of your build.

  • did you have any problem with your buna rock man? like I think my rock is not fully cured man.,I don't know if i should do a 25% water change..nirites still very high and it won't decrease...

  • @karlek110188 I thought that your system was quite new? My Ultra Buna rock is amazing. The water change question will get you many different answers. some do and some don't. I think that you should keep an eye on the cycle and let it run its course. I think that I did a water change about 1 month in. My system cycled in 5 days. But, I knew this cuz I was checking the water every day to see where I stood. I think that the dye off is very beneficial for the system. JMO.

  • @karlek110188 Continued... Also, It really depends on the filter system that you are using. The nitrites will need to decrease on their own and turn into the Nitrates to complete the cycle. I could not get my Nitrates down below 5ppm until the last couple of weeks. Now... all is at zero. In any case, if it were me, I would wait for the cycle to continue on its own for a while. The Buna rock is out of the water for a very long time from the ocean to you. The curing might take a bit of time.

  • @adjusterfrank yes but says that this rock is fully cured!

  • @karlek110188 Well... I put the rock in my system with the Gulf Rock "Primo Deco" So... I would not know if it was cured or not. I never really checked. Even if the rock was "fully cured" it still had to go from Utah to your house. So... I imagine that there would be a small amount of die off. How old is the cycle? What is the filtration system?

  • Ok thxs I might order from them now

  • Hi would you still suggest this liverocknreef, live rock even thow with all those bad hitch hikers

  • @pugs44 I do still like the rock. The Buna rock is great. The Gulf Rock "Primo Deco" takes a bit of time to get the dye off to clear from the rocks. I have also started to take the Halimeda Plants (Money Plants) off the rocks to make room for corals. The coraline algae is amazing. The isopods are very bad for the system however i have not had much of a problem. The only other issue is the Aiptasia. But, the shrimps are eating it now. So, Yes, I like the rock even with the hitchhikers.

  • how are you rising the rock with ro di water or slatwater ???? hoes?

  • @firion03 I take my extra maxi jet 1200 and blast the rock all around. The dead matter flies off the rock and into the water. Then, i let the pumps bring it to the overflow. The MP40 works best for this. The 1200 pump is a bit harsh but it works. It would be better to use a smaller pump. lol

  • Adjuster, we are all friends here and would love to know how much you paid for the rock. Don't be embarrassed or anything, we all paid a lot of money for live rock.

  • @Siwulam Lol. Well, I just finished editing a video from yesterday and I mention how much I paid. Stay tuned for the video. It will take a couple of hours to process to YouTube.

Also, you can visit Live Rock N Reef. I didn't get any deals for this rock. I paid the same price quoted on the internet. Maybe my next order I will be able to get a bit off. Lol

  • @adjusterfrank hey bro absolutely beautiful live rock. I have not seen Live rock come with such colors after shipping. Absolutely wonderful. We all know you get what you pay for. Great channel. Informative videos. Hey bro These Rocks are so beautiful I just ordered 40 lbs. I will have an un-boxing tomorrow. Hopefully Its that Beautiful. Check It out

  • @shadow10462 Awesome!! I am glad that you like the rock. You will not be disappointed. I have worms already seeding the sand bed after 4 days. I have multiple feather dusters, amphipods and I have found 5 live clams. This rock is truly amazing. Thanks for the comments on the channel and videos.

I hope that you got the 10% off the as they said!

  • @shadow10462 Also, make sure you post a video unboxing for us to see!!

  • Rock looks great man congrats on getting it

  • @Mopar32985 The rock is awesome. I think that there is going to be a great deal of life once the tank cycles.

    Thanks for watching and commenting.

  • Man! these rocks are just great. I seldom 've seen rocks with so much live on it. ( yes they show you the pics but you don't get the same). Please keep us updated on the fate once you set them in your aquarium and share the aquascape as well. Best of Luck!

  • @Hasans01 Thanks for watching. Even though I am relatively new to the hobby, I have watched many videos and being I travel I have been to many shops. I also have never seen rock with this much life. Aquascape video has been posted. I hope that you like it.

Check out prowebsource's Channel. There are several videos of their rock.

  • That rock in the first box was awesome best I have seen,

  • @dm002a8686 I agree, However, the Buna Ultra has great branching.

  • @adjusterfrank Hey Frank! Those are some very nice rocks! Even the LFS doesnt have that kind of beautiful rocks. Secondly lol CONGRATS on your FIRST coralS haha. Keep it coming.

    Cheerz

    J

  • @mysteryimpt I def agree. Actually for the quality of the rock, it's not much differance in price. The price per pound including shipping was about $9.00 per lb. The lfs charges anywheres from 5 - 10 per lb for much lesser quality. Bonus!! It came with a few corals!

  • best live rock i've ever seen.

  • @crabsyman Thanks man. It is pretty awesome i think. I am glad I ordered It.

  • WOW bro i knew that rock was gonna be nice when you sent me the link and i checked it out, but man that is beautiful rock.....very nice buy my friend

  • @jwalker43081 Thanks, I think that I am going to make a quick aquascape video. Stay tuned. Hope all is well in FL.

  • that is some very nice rock !!!!

  • @my1941willys thanks, I hope it works well in the tank.

  • @adjusterfrank im sure it will. thats some very nice lookin stuff !!

  • nice looking rock..cant wait to see the scape you come up with..

  • @johnnykat21 Thanks, Video will be out soon!!

  • awesome video again! you got some good shape rocks! XD where did you get it from if i may ask??

  • @PlainPass Thanks for the comments. The rock came from Live Rock N Reef. The website is listed at the end of the video.

It is not the cheapest rock but you see what I was sent.

  • That primo rock is seriously awesome... I dont think those white stony coral pieces actually will come back to life as I have a few on the rock I bought for my 90 gallon but there is some serious lookin coraline and other types of stuff growing alll over that..... Time to aquascape I'm waiting on that video for sureee!!!!

  • @vipete1985 Thanks bro. I hear ya. Didn't I send you a link to the web sit about a month ago? I also agree that the stony corals are dead but they look cool. I am going to try and complete the next video for tomorrow. It will be tough as I have to leave at 4:30 am for an appointment at 9:00. I will try.

  • how come your audio after the intro is always so low?

  • @gprime22 Tell me about it. This is a function of the Windows Live Movie Maker. I am not able to make my voice louder with out shutting down the music volume. They are not separate functions. They are both tied together in a slide bar. I have been trying to find a fix for this. While taking the video I am even trying to talk loud. I think my camera microphone is also not so great. I will work on a resolution to this issue. I know it is an issue.

  • Nice rocks...lets see the aqua scape and no shout out again.. : (

  • @UstadZed OHHHH. Bro, Very sorry. I knew this when I was editing the video. I will write myself a note for the next video. I am going to try and shoot the tank with the aquascape tonight. I have another shout out also and I forgot who it was. Uugg.

    I will get there.

  • WoW! Awesome rock. Wonderful colors and so on in that rock. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

  • @Rfritz09 Looks pretty cool in the tank. Kind a cloudy right now. I am waiting to see if it clears enough to make a video.

thanks for watching and the comments.

  • WOW! That rock is amazing. Even though you got some rubble, use that in the fuge. Can't wait to see the aquascape!

  • @moneymarkj Thanks man. I appreciate the comments as I look up to you as one of my standards for my system.

I was reluctant to purchase the rock as there was not alot of video of anyone using the rock. I am glad i did purchase it though. I will have a video of the 4th version of the scape very soon.

    Peace!

  • That rubble rock will work great in the sump/refugium. you can us it for fragging down the road, too.

  • @MadHatterReefs Thanks for the info. I did put the rubble rock in the sump. I just finished the 4th and final scape. Even if it doesn't look good. lol

  • CONGRATS on the rock my friend!! Looks sweet I cant wait to see what lived and what you got in the hitch hiker grab bag lol!!!

  • @eyesonyou2ube Glad you like the rock. So far i found a tiny worm wiggling around when I was redoing the rock. Should be interesting.

  • very nice rock the first box had mad life on rocks im ging to be ordering live rock to soon

  • @NYCMarineFish I would def. take a look at their site. They can also get Manado rock via special order if you like. The Cherry Primo Decorator is rock that they put in the Gulf about 20 years ago. So, that being said, we are not damaging any reefs by removing the rock. The rock is quite expensive but, you see what it came with.

You will need quite a bit for the 200g system. Also, The primo only comes air freight.

  • @adjusterfrank u mixed me up with omgchicklidesftw he has a 200g i have a 20G long

  • @NYCMarineFish Sorry Bro, so many comments must have mixed me up.

  • WOW Frank!! AMAZING lookiing rock. Especially the primo deco rock, very nice. I think it is really cool that ur taking everone's advice and really taking ur time with this set up. I'm also noticing that ur getting better with the confidence factor in speaking in your videos. PLEASE keep up the awesome job that your doing. REALLY interesting.

  • @dimplesone Lol, thanks for the comments. Yes I am taking my time. It is working out very well but this is not by choice. It has cost me some additional monies and too long. lol The length is due to me being out of town so much working.

Thanks for the accolades on the video taking. I still seem to take too long of video and then I am forced to edit or make two parts. It takes quite a while to convert and edit. Glad you are liking the vids.

  • That is some sweet live rock. There's lots of die off on there. At least you have some rubble pieces for frags now. Just throw them in the sump.

  • @krug1313 I'm glad the rock looks so good. I paid enough for it. Lol

  • now i want to see the rockscape sweet live rock though.

  • @TheSharkchum Thanks, I am working on the 4th version of the scape. Thanks for watching

  • kool

    like the tank

  • @killersamz thanks and thanks for watching!
