Many awesome new bands have finnaly begun springing up, such as Evile, Warbringer, Municipal Waste, Gama Bomb, Black Tide, and Trivium's last album The Crusade was definitely thrash. Also many old bvands making a massive comeback: Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Exodus, Overkill, Napalm Death, Kreator, and even Metallica has returned to Thrash fully revitalized. i wouldnt say its 1988 all over again, more like 82.
