This was and still is the only horror movie that has truly tapped my deepest fear. All the gore-fests that are horror flicks today, create a sense of disgust in me, not fear. This is the prime example that you don't have to have limbs chopped off or a black cat jumping out of a corner every 5 minutes to keep you into the movie, to make it scairy.

I watched this movie at a drive-in. The second feature was Fritz The Cat. As a young teenager at the time (sneaked in under cover in the back of a station wagon), I could not imagine a more incongruous pairing of movies. In hindsight, the memory of watching The Exorcist brings a smile to my face, thinking of that randy cat.

Although it looks pretty cool it is impossible for the human head to rotate 360. The bones and muscles in the body would not allow it. Now some people will argue it was the deamon that possed her that had power over her body that spun her head. Ok if that is true why were there not folds in her neck from her head spinning?
