I come from a dictatorship: we have one candidate.
Here, in land of democracy we have two.
So whats the big fuss all about?!!!
Its a shame they do not allow Ralphand Matt participate in the debates.

So I want to use the media of the people by the people and do this the old fashioned way by volunteering

Camejo, Laduke, and now Gonzalez. Just wondering: Does Nader have a thing for hispanics? Or are a lot of hispanics just Greens and very liberal on these issues?
nader and gravel have nearly identical views. whoever stays in the race after the nomnation is who i'm supporting. although at this poitn it sems nader will be able to get to the point where he was in 2000. gravel still has to get the nomination for the libertarian party. at least we have 2 good candidates still in the race. people who look to obama are mesmerized by the cult of personality and overlook all the dirt. choose the best fit people which are nader or gravel.
To see the video of Matt Gonzalez that follows Ralph Nader's speech in this video copy and paste the following in your web browser after YouTube's address: /watch?v=UaoncB-akQY&feature=related
You're hunch is wrong, His running mate is an American. Having a European running mate would have made little sense for a variety of reasons but I suspect you know that and were trying to be cute. Nice try, didn't work.
I am not trying to be cute. I'm told that comes naturally to me. I was just saying the first thing that came to mind because sometimes that can be a good thing. I sincerely believe Ralph Nader would likely be the best president but having a VP with a name like Gonzalez or any Spanish name makes me and many others think that there would become more freedom for the illegal aliens who take work from the Americans who deserve to be paid proper wages. Like the way San Fransisco wellcomes them now.
I guess it's impossible for Mr. Nader to win but I suspect he would make the best president. McCain is deserving of the place but the republicans have a bad reputation for anybody but the wealthy. Hillary is the only democrat that deserves the spot although I am not thrilled with the democrats either. I suspect an independant like Nader is the only one likely to make the best changes for our country to become what it should be.
Ralph Nader is the only candidate, besides Mike Gravel, worth voting for. If he didn't run, I wouldn't vote, so to all of you democrats who think that he is taking your votes, why don't you stop whining and look at yourselves as the problem! Nader tried to give his issues to Gore in 2000 and also to Kerry in 2004 which would thereby give them his votes as well. It is not a surprise that they chose not to take them. They lost on their own neglect of some very important issues.
If the democrats lose because people choose to vote for the one person who actually represent the people - not the corporations - then that's the democrats fault, not Nader's.
the democrats are the ones funding the Iraq war. If you aren't aware of that, then you might want to pay attention. They say jump, and the democrats say how high. Vote for Ralph or Ron Paul, or you are part of the problem.
For me it's vote Nader or don't vote. So how is that helping the republicans?
Obama supporters - why did Obama just recently vote for the new FISA law that would give legal immunity to corporations who violated the law and illegally spied on American citizens? Thankfully the Congressional Democrats have voted against it and stopped it from becoming law so far!
Why doesn't he support single payer universal health care?
i wonder if this guy is paid big bucks by some "independent" conservative groups to run, HEY NADER SUPPORTERS hope you like more of the same! he will sway liberal voters slightly enough to give the republicans the edge, your all intelligent and Mr Nader is a good American but is not a winnable team
your all idiots if you dont think ralph nader is the best candidate, other then maybe ron paul, so if u want to keep the nazi regime rolling, vote for a democrat or for mccain, there all leading us there if they get the chance
Will someone PLEASE tell this guy that the joke is old, and not funny anymore?
PLEASE?
I swear to God, I'm beginning to think this guy is a total tool for the Plutocrats. Everytime an election comes up where the best candidate doesn't seem to play ball with those fools, they send out good ol' Ralphie to fuck eveything up. GO HOME RALPH! ENOUGH!!!
He is not going home, and neither is Ron Paul, Obama as well to a lesser extend is also a candidate for change. No wonder trhe status quo prefers McCain or Hillary to any of them. I gave him my vote in the last two elections, and if Obama is denied the nomination by Hillary the Queen Bitch and the unDemocratic political Party I will do it again. Lets get the voters to support Obama and Ron Paul during the Primary process, and either Obama or Nader during the general election.
God I love this man. America how can you think of voting for anyone else. How many lives has this guy saved. This guy make Mother Teresa look like a witch. America the rest of the world hates you (believe me I'm not American). From my perspective this fella is about the only political leader that you guys have had that can give you half a hope. Make your companies pay their share of tax like they used to before they bought your main political parties.
Why don't you actually look up what this guy has done for his country without even being in politics. He ain't pretty but he is the genuine article. You want pretty, nice smile, servant to Democrats backers? Then yeah, Obama seems a better choice. Want real change for the betterment of your people? Then I still reckon this guy is your only hope. Obama's a distant second. The rest of the canditates are good for fertiliser bulking.
Change is only possible when we take action with predictable outcomes. The Matrix is a system designed to keep you poor and powerless. Are you ready to be unplugged?
Furthermore...You guys can't seriously think Nader only runs as a paid spoiler? He's a PROTEST candidate who brings issues to forefront which mainline candidates can't or won't. Sick of choosing between the "lesser of two evils?" Then DON'T. VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE. That is not wasting your vote. If not Nader, then use the write-in option--it's there for a reason. You have the right to just say NO to both Repubs and Dems if you choose. But don't stay home--VOTE. People die for this right.
I most certainly CAN and DO. If he's such a 'protester' then how come the only time I ever see or hear about this fuckstick is during Presidental Elections where America just might get someone the powers that be don't necessarily like?! Mmm?!?!
Backasswards you've got it. There is an opportunity to cast a vote against those powers during national elections. You aren't aware of him because he's a dedicated guy who has spent his lifetime working for justice--not making money or being a celebrity. Now I don't know the guy personally, so I am just guessing when I say he doesn't do it because he enjoys being called a "fuckstick" or a "pathetic loser."
Yeah, my dad REALLY loves this guy because he lost his Corvair due to this dipshits "activism". If this guy really want's to help, his new and sole quest in life will be pushing for research and development, in conjunction with the major oil companies, to begin developing a biological alternative to fossil fuels. And I INCLUDE the oil companies in this scenario because ONLY if they are able to make a profit from this research will we EVER se this come to pass.
I am sorry about your dad's Corvair. Standards are imposed on manufacturers when it comes to safety and health. Businesses run on a least cost/most profit basis can ignore responsibility to the consumer. That's why government has to watchdog. And watchdogs must be kept in check. I agree with you about fuel alternatives. Moving away from reliance on oil = political, economic, social, environmental and technological change. A new era of development. Why do you think Nader wouldn't support this?
I know he would support this, and that's what I'm driving at. Are you familiar with the Chain of Succession regarding the Presidency? In terms of holding office, Nader MIGHT get in to the Oval Office after both the Senate and the House and all it's members perish in some attack or freak accident; that's how far down the line this guy would be in terms of Political Reality. So I say; put him to work on the aforementioned problem, and let him get it done.
A pluralistic political scene would be great ..BUT.. this dude is a master at subverting his own stated beliefs. Obama is no corporate lap dawg and if Nader could quell his ego long enough to take a look, he'd realize that.
Corporate slavery should be abolished, even if it appears to be a 'good' thing. Corporations take away mankinds ability to sustain himself by stealing his land and forcing him into employment. Employment is a form of slavery.
Intelite, how old are you? Since the dawn of time, man has always had some type of "employment" to keep a roof over his head and food on the table. We all have to work for the things we want and need.
george bush and the idiots who voted for him are responsible for his election over gore, not Ralph Nader. God bless ralph for his honesty and integrity in a world of liars who falsely profess to adhere to religion.
i didn't vote for Nader in 2000 didn't vote for Nader in the last election not going to vote from him in this election a vote for Nader is a vote for bush and McCain.
A vote for Nader is a vote for a cut in defense spending (both McCain and Obama support an increase)a vote in favor of scraping NAFTA (don't expect either of those corperate candidates to go there!) a vote for Palistianian rights, and a vote for gay marriage( i think we used to call that civil rights?).... so a vote for Nader is a vote for what is right and progressve. Get it? Or have you drank form Obama's Kool-aid?
I know the republic voted against gay marriage i didn't think the Democrats voted against it. here my question if the Democrats are against gays marriage the why didn't they vote for the bill? I'm not looking for trouble if i came out that way then i am sorry. .i was only express my self that all. trust me i don't like mccain and bush at all.
I don't know of any vote against gay marriage, i do know that only Kucinich and Gravel supported gay marriage when asked during the early debates, Obama has stated he is against allowing gay americans to marry , he does support a second class "civil union" however. It is an issue that does not hurt him so it's not improtant for him to support civil rights on this one I guess.
This nut will give another 4 years to the repubicans. I am tird of such corruption. I want good government, governed by Demecrats!! The companies that keep track of vote counts are owned by people with direct interests in the republican party. Repuclicans stole the election twice in a row!!
LOL....Democrats? they voted for the war, the patriot act, they are against gay marriage, they are tied to corpertations,,,and they GAVE US NAFTA! Did you know any of this???? Or are you just a kid? Get infgormed and grow up.
what are his views on russians? fighting the good fight would be killing russians.. FUCK THE RUSSIANS FUCKING UNTERMENSCHEN SCHEISSE FACES FUCK I HATE RUSSIANS FUCK THEM ALL
I just wrote a column about a quick recap before tomorrow's primaries and I don't understand why Nader is running. Sure, I like an underdog but he hasn't come close to second place in any presidential election and it seems that he started late this time around to gain any support. Why even bother running?
You say Nader is on the republican payroll because you dont understood how democrats and republicans are on the SAME payroll. I doubt presidents have any power andyways even if a democatic prez wanted to decrease military spending he wouldnt be able to. Our country is corporately controlled and we spend all of our money on war because it funnels public money into private hands. America is going down the tubes everyone I know is struggling financially. @#%* it I'm voting for Nader
Well said Nowellian. Skwoaqc, if your comment was directed at me then I will admit that, yes, I am a Canadian...now living in the US. So is fact that I'm Canadian something you want to pass off as an argument or are you just not able to construct a logical argument to support your point of view about anything?
Get Lost YOU SELL OUT.HOW MUCH did you pocket from the McCAin Campaign to STEAL 2 %of the Democratic vote and STEAL the Election for a THIRD time for the Republicans. This is THE CHANCE for THE LONG AWAITED CHANGE.DON'T MESS IT UP YOU TRAITOR BY DISGUISING YOURSELF AS A LIBERAL. GET LOST! PEOPLE DON'T EAT THE CHICKEN FEED. BE SMART. DO YOU WANT ANOTHER 4 YEARS OF THE SAME CRAP? Remember what Bush said : " You fool me once, same on you, you fool me twice, ahhhm, you can't fool me again."
Your logic is simply invalid. Based on your crooked logic you might as well say that Republicans stole %50 of Democratic vote! Your argument is also insulting to those %2 who voted for him; Implying that those people did not have a mind of themselves and just voted for Nader for the hell of it!
How much did the Mc Cain gang pay Ralph Nader to STEAL the ellection a third time??? YOU may steal the election McCAIN but you will not steal the thirst for freedom from ignorance, manipulation and conservative canned mentality which attempts to contril the spirits OF TRULY FREE AMERICANS. Enough with your "PURITANISM," Enough with your "PROPAGANDA ON RELIGION," enough with "YOUR LOBBYISM," enough with"YOUR FAVORITISM," enough with"YOUR POLICE STATE," enough with your "DEMOCRATIC DICTATORSHIP."
I sympathize w/ your frustration & though I understand your concern that a Nader candidacy will lead to a GOP victory I must vehemently argue that a democratic Pres. will be just as corrupt & ineffectual a leader as a Rep. The 2 party system is an abysmal failure, the parties are 2 heads on the same hydra- both forever bowing to their corporate masters. Watch Nader's doc "An Unreasonable Man". That may shed light on the strangle hold the 2 party system has on our nation.
Are you trying to say that Nader is the tool of conservatives? Look up his profile on Wikipedia and perhaps you can have a more open-minded perspective on this.

i can't beleive this old faggot is trying to run for president again........he didn't even win in 2000....so why try to run now.....what a fucking pathetic loser......all of his supporters are fucking stupid and confused.....
yeah, I'm sure anyone will accept your 'deep' political commentary given your username, profanity and spelling errors. wisen up. Ralph gave you seat belts. What have you done for society?
Ralph Nader is the best he gets my vote for a 3rd time. I will never vote for any sick NWO Rep or Dem. Wake up pple this is going to be one of our last chances to do it right. Vote Nader and get rid of the New World Order!
Dr. Ron Paul is against abortion, single payer universal health care, he does not even believe in evolution!
Paul is for a National sales tax and wants to end the IRS, no more corporate tax, or millionaire/billionaire income tax. He is against the department of education, I guess only rich people need an education!
I could go on and on. Ron Paul has almost nothing in common with Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucinich or any other American progressive!
Ralph Nader is trying to bring democracy to the USA!
He has helped get the Green Party on state ballots all across America.
He has fought in the courts for years to do this. One day American will be a democracy and hopefully better informed generations will have Ralph Nader to thank for it!
Our corporate dictatorship censored democratic candidates who spoke for the working class. Now we only have Nader to speak out for us!
Issues? Hijacked? Workmans Comp corruption in CA has been replaced with the Medical Pot racket. Whats Nader's RX for Doctor's who will sign off on any complaint, true or false, to justify a pot treatment? Nader and his civil rights industrial complex policies will let drug dealers out of jail to wreak havoc upon our neighborhoods while his pot head and sex addicted supporters get high and only achieve the world utopian revolution between their ears. Beware!
When I see so many postings criticizing Nader personally instead of on the issues, I can't help feeling hopeless about the future of better government in America. Until Americans wake up to the fact that their democracy has been hijacked by corporate interests, who now "own" (through their political contributions) both the Democratic and Republican parties, the lives of average citizens will continue to deteriorate. Yes, be American, where cheerleading sadly passes as a substitue for thinking.
Nader is a self-interested stooge. Get behind Ron Paul. He truly is the only person in the government today being honest about what is really going on. Wake up and carefully listen if you really care.
Nader has had some very, very kind words for Ron Paul, and I think both men are standing up agaisnt the corperate system. I disagree with Paul on many issues but i do respect him and admire his courage to stand firm on his convictions despite the GOP's attacks on him. I do think he would return us to the guilded age but thats besides the point.
Becasue he tells the truth?...that doesn't even make sense. If you support a larger defense department and more spending on defense, if you support NAFTA, if you support the ban on gay marriage, and if you are against a single payer health care system then Senators Obama,Clinton,or McCain will do you well...however for progressives and free thinker we simply will not cave on those issues.
in spain the jewish community is watching the USA vote as it will affect the worl- superpowers view on israel ,european community and even our jewish cumminity in murcia spain. we look fwd to your aggresive participation in this election.yes you might win...here in spain the jews vote PP the right, but anythings poss.
Nader does little more than make half the electorate cringe and the other half hopeful he'll turn the tide for their candidate. Obama supports should view him with contempt. Whether he deserves it or not, too many people perceive he is responsible for America's Bush error, and perception is everything. He can run if he wants, but he does so at the risk of crushing his legacy under the weight of parody, much of it self inflicted.
NADER EDXPLAINS MERICAN POLITICS 101 ! Check out the clip HIGHEST BIDDER right here on YOU TUBE ! "The corporate grip on opinion in the United States is one of the wonders of the Western world. No First World country has ever managed to eliminate so entirely from its media all objectivity - much less dissent. " - Gore Vidal
RIGHT ON, RALPH!! I proudly voted for you the last two elections, I will now make that THREE!! Before anybody starts blasting me with the "spoiler" or "wasting a vote" mantras, I speak for most all other Nader supporters when I say "A vote for Nader IS a vote for NADER", with the choices the corp mafia left us with, I would NOT vote at all if Nader were not running! This explains why over 60% of voters don't vote, they don't want a "lesser evil"!!!
Days after I cast my vote for Nader in Nov 2004, I put a homemade Nader 2008 sticker on the back of my car. It is still there. I am a social worker, former U.S. vice consul, peace advocate, war protester, anti-imperialist, Spanish-language radio host, & believer in true democracy. And I will cast a vote for Ralph Nader for the 3rd time this November. Nader/Gonzalez, like Nader/Camejo in 2004, & Nader/LaDuke in 2000 will eloquently & bravely speak truth into the void of corporate-owned politics.
STOP WITH RON PAUL ALREADY! unless he decides to run independently - he's finished and it's time to move on. if you were a ron paul fan for the right reasons, it might be wise to shift focus to Nader. Check this man out and spread the word. If republicans AND democrats can give this man a serious chance at this crucial point, you never know what could happen.
NADER '08. just say no to mccain, billary, and obama!
Nader is responsible for the war in Iraq and all of the Bush legislation. He handed the election to Bush in 2000. If it weren't for Nader, Gore would be fighting global warming instead of Bush fighting in Iraq. Gore lost by 512 votes in Florida where Nader received over 90,000. This is all his fault. He needs to get over himself and realize that he has no chance of winning the election, nor a single state, he doesn't even have a chance of getting the 3% he's been chasing for 12 years.
It is about winning. Our country needs a new direction and the only way to get it there and get us out of Iraq is with a new president. You are wasting your vote on a man who cares more about himself than about what is best for our country and the rest of the world.
It is about winning. Our country needs a new direction and the only way to get it there and get us out of Iraq is with a new president. You are wasting your vote on a man who cares more about himself than about what is best for our country and the rest of the world.
you are very ignorant to look at it that way. a vote is not a waste if it is for someone you believe should be and is the best candidate for president. why should i pick from the lesser of two evils? just to pick someone who is in your mind more likely to win? what is the point of that? to say your candidate won? I would rather say I chose to vote for democracy and not a two-party dictatorship.
No, you are very ignorant for saying "someone who is in your mind more likely to win." It's not in my mind, it's in reality. Nader has 0 chance. And its not about saying my candidate won. It's about having a say in the future of our country. And if you don't vote or vote for someone who doesn't matter your vote does nothing to voice your opinion of how you want the country run. When you vote for nader don't complain when McCain wins and spends your tax dollars in iraq for 100 years.
oh boy... there is just so much wrong with your statements. having a say in my country means voting for who i want, not voting for one of two people funded by lobbyists and corporations. you know that obama wants to expand our military, right? why would we need to waste our money on that? a vote for nader is a vote for nader and no one else. that is such a ridiculous mindset.
First off, Obama has not taken any money from lobbyists or special interest PACs. Second, It is not a ridiculous mindset it is reality. You can vote for whoever you want but if you vote for someone who can't win there's no point in voting. And don't complain when McCain wins because it will be your fault.
Ok, I just went there and it showed that over 99% of his funds were from individual contributions. He has had over 1,000,000 individual contributers means that 1/300th of the population of our country has given money to his campaign. So how exactly was I being fooled?
They may be individual contributions, but WHO exactly is contributing to his campaign? I assure you, Obama didn't raise $138,231,595 from middle class people sending $50 checks. He is bought and paid for like all other mainstream candidates, so don't be fooled. As for the election in general, voting for candidates that don't support your interests is foolish, especially considering the immense social problems we face. But, do as you wish.
Obama did get money from friends of lobbyists and family of lobbyists. If all of us who believe in Nader voted for him, he would win. 80% of the county is considering a third party in 2008. 60% is dissatisfied with both parties. Can we call him electable now?
Every candidate has an equal chance of winning until the election is over...It's all about equality baby. Oh crap...I forgot. It isn't about equality. It is about inequality. Nader 08.
"Nader is responsible for the war in Iraq and all of the Bush legislation". PAULZOSA
This is such a poor argument expected of no brainers. Simply ask yourself Paul, "What about the registered voters that did not vote at all? Should I also blame them?"
You are the hopes and aspirations of millions of Israelis and Palestinians and fair-minded Americans who want an end to the bloody occupation of Palestine and its terrible toll.

"Nader will fight longer and harder against them."
Nader is TV Network filler. He's like putting Kitty Liter in ground beef and calling it Democracy. Florida 2000? Take Buchanan off the ballot along with Nader and Bush STILL wins.
ALso please note if the majority of the people are thieves, you get the nation you deserve.
If you would look at the Video list, you would notice that there is a video for his VP pick. It starts up right after Nader stopped talking. So what is your point? As for TV fillers, we have been getting nothing but infotainment and politics as spectacle from the two major campaigns. They don't ask the tough questions and are afraid to be asked those questions in return.
Nader is in the publiching business. This campaign is as big a fraud as the Oprah Book Club currently selling that wet behind the ears nit wit. Nader is going to make the Corperate world his slave? Typical trial attorney mentality.
Please note this video cuts off when Nader stops speaking.
Well, it's time to go look for a crack in the sidewalk to trip over.
do u wear a seatbelt? (i'm sure u do) now that we've established that u're on crack, we can also say that nader has accomplished more than u; u're like that insignificant sports fan sitting on the cheap section getting emotional
Yeah, Kucinich was only Democratic candidate who could still be called a Progressive. Funny how the most pro-Constitutional,pro-worker, and anti-war candidate could be sidelined with the lunatic fringe. Hell, the same tactics used to silence Dennis have already started with Nader. Nader will fight longer and harder against them.
Yeah, Nader's candidacy has lit a spark for my interest in this year's contest. Ralph Nader is really the only candidate right now who speaks about functional democracy and the rights of the American people as citizens and consumers. He is the only candidate who would probably be the quickest to disengage our forces from Iraq and pursue other avenues to resolve our differences with states like Iran. After six years of failure to defeat the "multi-headed Hydra" of terrorism, we need another way.
Having Mister Nader and other third parties on the map this year could very well involve so many Americans who would have stayed home and boycotted this election out of discouragement with the slate of clone candidates we have been dealt with.
I hope Ralph Nader and the Green Party announce more names of the cabinet, and advisers... so people can put the puzzle together better, and move away from the "he can't win" rhetoric. Get Ron Paul in there to straighten out the banking fiasco.
Voting for this man should be a no-brainer. He is the only candidate left standing that might actually care about the people of this country. I too was done fighting like I have for the past 71/2 years.....but good ole Ralph has got me on my feet again. We are with you Mr Nader!!!!!!!
Ralph,More poer to your ideas! Keep fighting to end this insane war in Iraq and bring our people home. Keep holding these corporate controlled Candidates feet to the fire. They're there to serve the people not the corporations!
I don't understand why people find Obama inspirational. Because he delivers good speeches? Nadar's career has been much more inspirational than that of Obama or any other candidate.
without ralph AND OTHERS LIKE HIM, this democacy would be one citizen weaker, because I WOULDN'T VOTE. democrats need to realize that it is their own fault that they suck, not some third party. but if they don't learn, they will continue making the same mistakes. history repeats itself.
The reason why people even vote for a third party candidate is that they are unsatisfied with both the Democratic an Republican candidates. Therefore, those who support the third party, such as myself, wouldn't vote for either party. Until Nader announced his candidacy, i was just going to stay home. Do you really think Obama isn't paid off? Of course he is... by Wall Street hotshots from Lehman Brothers, Oppenheimer and Co., and Citigroup, just to name a few!
Did it occur to you that Ralph is already rich? And that when he successfully sued General Motors he used his earnings to start non profit citizen watchdog groups?
You think that after decades of that, he now just wants to make a quick buck?
To all dems out there, you are a bunch of whiners and losers. EVEN IF he cost Gore the 2000 election, what the hell happened to the Democrats in 2004 ? Why did Bush get elected again ? Stop blaming third-party candidates for your own shortcomings.
Only in America, can a national treasure like Ralph be so viciously reviled.
America, you so deserve the shit you got for the last 8 years, and the shit you will continue getting for the next 8.
Absolutely absolutely absolutely. I helped to open the Green Party Headquarters in New Orleans back in the Halcyon days of the 2000 campaign... I give him my full support and have already contributed to his cause, and will continue to throw my support behind him, as should we all. Power to the people (where it has ALWAYS resided). I join my hands, thoughts and efforts with you all. NADER 2008...!!!
Ralph is the best choice for President. He has contributed more to the safety and well-being of Americans more than all other candidates & past presidents combined. This man consistently walks the walk of a true patriot. People who support this man realize that he is more than a fad.He has a vision of an America that is void of corruption & inequality. This will be the year that America realizes that the "spoiler" accusations were erroneous and this man has earned the right to lead this country!

I can see why he did that, Mike Gravel and him are pretty old. So he didnt want them to use that as a slap stick to use againist him but I would like Mike Gravel to be in there somewhere.

"Spaniard" means "from Spain".
Matt Gonzalez is "American". He is of "Hispanic" origin.
Ralph Nader is "American". He is of "Lebanese" origin.

You're hunch is wrong, His running mate is an American. Having a European running mate would have made little sense for a variety of reasons but I suspect you know that and were trying to be cute. Nice try, didn't work.

boomac62 4 years ago
I am not trying to be cute. I'm told that comes naturally to me. I was just saying the first thing that came to mind because sometimes that can be a good thing. I sincerely believe Ralph Nader would likely be the best president but having a VP with a name like Gonzalez or any Spanish name makes me and many others think that there would become more freedom for the illegal aliens who take work from the Americans who deserve to be paid proper wages. Like the way San Fransisco wellcomes them now.
5inBoca 4 years ago
I guess it's impossible for Mr. Nader to win but I suspect he would make the best president. McCain is deserving of the place but the republicans have a bad reputation for anybody but the wealthy. Hillary is the only democrat that deserves the spot although I am not thrilled with the democrats either. I suspect an independant like Nader is the only one likely to make the best changes for our country to become what it should be.
5inBoca 4 years ago
Ralph Nader is the only candidate, besides Mike Gravel, worth voting for. If he didn't run, I wouldn't vote, so to all of you democrats who think that he is taking your votes, why don't you stop whining and look at yourselves as the problem! Nader tried to give his issues to Gore in 2000 and also to Kerry in 2004 which would thereby give them his votes as well. It is not a surprise that they chose not to take them. They lost on their own neglect of some very important issues.

Lets get the voters to support Obama and Ron Paul during the Primary process, and either Obama or Nader during the general election.

Jesuisquejesuis 4 years ago 6
I most certainly CAN and DO. If he's such a 'protester' then how come the only time I ever see or hear about this fuckstick is during Presidental Elections where America just might get someone the powers that be don't necessarily like?! Mmm?!?!
lightbringerrr 4 years ago
Backasswards you've got it. There is an opportunity to cast a vote against those powers during national elections. You aren't aware of him because he's a dedicated guy who has spent his lifetime working for justice--not making money or being a celebrity. Now I don't know the guy personally, so I am just guessing when I say he doesn't do it because he enjoys being called a "fuckstick" or a "pathetic loser."
Jesuisquejesuis 4 years ago
Yeah, my dad REALLY loves this guy because he lost his Corvair due to this dipshits "activism". If this guy really want's to help, his new and sole quest in life will be pushing for research and development, in conjunction with the major oil companies, to begin developing a biological alternative to fossil fuels. And I INCLUDE the oil companies in this scenario because ONLY if they are able to make a profit from this research will we EVER se this come to pass.
lightbringerrr 4 years ago
I am sorry about your dad's Corvair. Standards are imposed on manufacturers when it comes to safety and health. Businesses run on a least cost/most profit basis can ignore responsibility to the consumer. That's why government has to watchdog. And watchdogs must be kept in check. I agree with you about fuel alternatives. Moving away from reliance on oil = political, economic, social, environmental and technological change. A new era of development. Why do you think Nader wouldn't support this?
Jesuisquejesuis 4 years ago
I know he would support this, and that's what I'm driving at. Are you familiar with the Chain of Succession regarding the Presidency? In terms of holding office, Nader MIGHT get in to the Oval Office after both the Senate and the House and all it's members perish in some attack or freak accident; that's how far down the line this guy would be in terms of Political Reality. So I say; put him to work on the aforementioned problem, and let him get it done.

I don't know of any vote against gay marriage, i do know that only Kucinich and Gravel supported gay marriage when asked during the early debates, Obama has stated he is against allowing gay americans to marry , he does support a second class "civil union" however.

He needs to get over himself and realize that he has no chance of winning the election, nor a single state, he doesn't even have a chance of getting the 3% he's been chasing for 12 years.

oh, Ralph Nader, Al Gore? same people? I thought that a vote for Ralph was a vote for Ralph. It's really not about winning it's about democracy.

It is about winning. Our country needs a new direction and the only way to get it there and get us out of Iraq is with a new president. You are wasting your vote on a man who cares more about himself than about what is best for our country and the rest of the world.

paulzosa 4 years ago
you are very ignorant to look at it that way. a vote is not a waste if it is for someone you believe should be and is the best candidate for president. why should i pick from the lesser of two evils? just to pick someone who is in your mind more likely to win? what is the point of that? to say your candidate won? I would rather say I chose to vote for democracy and not a two-party dictatorship.
loveandwarfare 4 years ago 2
No, you are very ignorant for saying "someone who is in your mind more likely to win." It's not in my mind, it's in reality. Nader has 0 chance. And its not about saying my candidate won. It's about having a say in the future of our country. And if you don't vote or vote for someone who doesn't matter your vote does nothing to voice your opinion of how you want the country run. When you vote for nader don't complain when McCain wins and spends your tax dollars in iraq for 100 years.
paulzosa 4 years ago
oh boy... there is just so much wrong with your statements. having a say in my country means voting for who i want, not voting for one of two people funded by lobbyists and corporations. you know that obama wants to expand our military, right? why would we need to waste our money on that? a vote for nader is a vote for nader and no one else. that is such a ridiculous mindset.
loveandwarfare 4 years ago
First off, Obama has not taken any money from lobbyists or special interest PACs. Second, It is not a ridiculous mindset it is reality. You can vote for whoever you want but if you vote for someone who can't win there's no point in voting. And don't complain when McCain wins because it will be your fault.

gravelin08 4 years ago 2
Ok, I just went there and it showed that over 99% of his funds were from individual contributions. He has had over 1,000,000 individual contributers means that 1/300th of the population of our country has given money to his campaign. So how exactly was I being fooled?
paulzosa 4 years ago
They may be individual contributions, but WHO exactly is contributing to his campaign? I assure you, Obama didn't raise $138,231,595 from middle class people sending $50 checks. He is bought and paid for like all other mainstream candidates, so don't be fooled. As for the election in general, voting for candidates that don't support your interests is foolish, especially considering the immense social problems we face. But, do as you wish.
plasticreality01 4 years ago 2
Obama did get money from friends of lobbyists and family of lobbyists. If all of us who believe in Nader voted for him, he would win. 80% of the county is considering a third party in 2008. 60% is dissatisfied with both parties. Can we call him electable now?

Well, it's time to go look for a crack in the sidewalk to trip over.

dang that was deep kingzaboo...
do u wear a seatbelt? (i'm sure u do) now that we've established that u're on crack, we can also say that nader has accomplished more than u; u're like that insignificant sports fan sitting on the cheap section getting emotional

i hope he asked kucinich. that wouldve been a great ticket. but i bet Gonzalez will be great since nader pics the best.
Munkiefan 4 years ago 3

TheKakuroMaster 4 years ago

LOL, think of it as Invasion of the Body Snatcher where only a few sane people are left.

without ralph AND OTHERS LIKE HIM, this democacy would be one citizen weaker, because I WOULDN'T VOTE. democrats need to realize that it is their own fault that they suck, not some third party. but if they don't learn, they will continue making the same mistakes. history repeats itself.

so what the hell i want the money and FUCK the people !
guys this is john mccain and bush plans to destroy your country . careful everyone take cautions
and vote for barack obama !!

Of course he is... by Wall Street hotshots from Lehman Brothers, Oppenheimer and Co., and Citigroup, just to name a few!
entr0py1 4 years ago 3
Did it occur to you that Ralph is already rich? And that when he successfully sued General Motors he used his earnings to start non profit citizen watchdog groups?
You think that after decades of that, he now just wants to make a quick buck?
Think it through, kiddo.

Ralph Nader--the best, the finest, right on point, the most honest, ALWAYS the preferred candidate.

I can see why he did that, Mike Gravel and him are pretty old. So he didnt want them to use that as a slap stick to use againist him but I would like Mike Gravel to be in there somewhere.
