Arsene has not utlized Abou's obvious strength -- attacking in the final third. He is wasted as a midfielder, as he cannot tackle properly, and does not have the defensive aggression in his temperament. Abou is an offensive player who would be an asset closer to goal -- the dude has a wicked shot, and nimble feet in the box. He needs to be played upfront as a striker where he would be more effective.

Abou will come good. He is hitting his stride. He is learning how to play box-to-box much better. He could always attack, but his covering ability and tackling have improved immensely. on his good days he has a nice first touch, controll and short pssing. just about about enough to fit into the team. on his average days he looks out of place and on his bad days he's simply awful. i won't hold the own goal against him, because mistakes happen, but his lack of consistancy is disapointing after 3 years or so at the club. looking foward to having nasri back for sure.
