I liked the preview, very good. the only thing i didn't like was how the beginning was set up as a novel but then it turned into more of a biography instead. it was very interesting, i think you should have just made it more of a biography instead.

the child hood you had is pretty much the same that i have right now , when i was born the umbilical chord was wrapped around my neck i was announced dead, but like what happened to you the doctors worked their magic and ta da! now besides having a comic shop to go to i just had a friends house who would always brag about yugioh , he was so obsessed that he thought if he beat a school bully in the card game he would be in the news and be a hero. by reading your book it opened my eyes. thanks

I got 5 used 2x4's & 5 4x8 sheets of wood off a family members friend then nailed them together, then i asked him to build me a small box, he did. so then i was on my skateboard from school release to sundown trying basic 50-50's & boardslides & then i skated with the neighbor boys who helped me learn new tricks. I then got gradually better and then a few years later saw tech shit online & in skate vids so i started trying harder things. "to be continued"

Reminds me of when i started skateboarding at 6 years old... The neighbor boys across from me had a skatepark in their yard. Shortly later i got a pro complete at a yard sale a few doors down. pushing & balance was natural for me. From then on i decided i'd never quit. I then used our picnic table to hold myself up while trying ollies & eventually kickflips since i could not jump high at the time, then i eventually went on to harder tricks. "to be continued"

Hi Andy, brilliant read, a little of it seems a bit far fetched but you can't keep droning on how you failed etc. I'll let you off and won't give you a bollocking! Haha, just kidding dude!

What I would recommend is maybe a glossary with a list of skateboarding terminology and their meanings, as you said, this book is supposed to please all audiences and it can't really do that if they are having to check up all of the meanings. Just a little tip of what I think, let me know how it's going. :D

And you could heelflip in a month? Haha jealous. It took me almost a year to kickflip and another 2 weeks to learn to heelflip. I've been skating 2 years now and still cant 3 flip...I'm gonna get it soon tho =)

@bgibbz1 thanks man! Yes I did learn heelflips my first months. I skated 5 hours a day everyday when I started. My friends and I got good fast. We were very determined. So just set goals and stop at nothing until you reach them ... then set higher goals! Good luck and keep shredding!
