2. He doesn't sing "Peace came upon me" till after the first chorus

I went to a Simply Red concert in Adelaide and I was there with my stepdaughter. We were dancing up the front, I was a HUGE SR fan and suddenly, we had 2 backstage passes slipped to us both to 'meet' Mick after the show. Let me say that Mick was the most incredible gentleman. We drank some champagne, he asked if we would like to party on later with the band but we declined. We got a hug, a kiss, a signed shirt, the playlist from the concert. I will always have the greatest respect for Mick

This is awful....and he can't even get the words right!!

If you listen to the bit which says "so sleep silent angel, go to sleep".....he gets the words wrong and sings "DON'T sleep silent angel, DON'T you sleep"!

Mick H. is generally a superb singer, & has made great records, but, this is terrible, his vocals are awful & do not suit this (usually) superb song. It has a horrible gutteral sound, with no sensitivity shown at all ! The versions by phil everly, allan clarke & writer albert hammond are infinitely better !! This belongs in room 101.
