  • Thank you. Did you ever get one? (I still want a DeLorean, but I keep buying other stuff! ;-P) Well, anyway prices are cheap now, at least in the States.

  • beautiful! at age 7 in 1979 this was the first car i can remember that got me hooked onto cars. The GTV will forever remain "the car". It was in Nairobi Kenya. Thank you for posting. your car is beautiful.

  • Let em warm up and they sound AMAZING!!!

  • what should we say?, one of the best gtv6 seen on youtube

  • one of most beautiful GTV6 that i ever seen, really beautiful...

  • What's making the clicking sound in the engine? I heard it might have something to do with rockers and cams

  • @hkspol That would be the tappets for the valves. These engines have solid lifters so a little noise is normal. (I even run 20-50 oil.) The valves should be checked every 12,000 mi or so. The exhaust valves run off the cam via a short pushrod and rocker arm assembly and are a breeze to adjust. I leave intake valves for my mechanic to do (they need to be shimmed.) If they are close to spec, I let them go till the cambelt change. This amount of noise would be normal.

  • OMG! time flies! My GTV 6 was 1986, not 1976! It was just before discontinuation, I remember!

  • Come to thin of it, it was actually 1986! Whew, time flies!!

  • I used to have a GTV6 which I bought in 1976. I changed to ANSA system as soon as I bought it. It is still best sounding V6 I have ever known. I used to go to closed parking every weekend just to hear the beautiful note. Drive, drive, drive without talk ,please. We would like to hear the exhaust notes at higher rev. I miss that so bad!

  • @ramrambatti Will do. I'll try and do it before winter. It should sound better too! Just put on a center exhaust last month, so no more exhaust leaks! (I also know a really nice road to work the car out on!)

  • @ramrambatti You can also hear more if you look up Alfa GTV6 ride. Also Alfa 164 ride has some of my 164.

  • Last v6 interceptor...

  • Thanks, I will post more videos of it soon. Saddly its burning a lot of oil, I will have to rebuild the motor soon.

  • One of the best looking GTV6 I ever seen. Just one thing left to do to that car, get the euro bumpers and side turn lights.

  • @lucass81 I like how the turn signals are in the bumper on the Euro car, but I want to leave this one as built. I'm even resisting IAP's aluminum recovery tank, although I think I'm going to have to cave on that one. My plastic tank has about had it.

  • @lucass81 I like the Euro bumpers, but I want to leave this as it was built. Besides, you really can't change anything and have collectors plates in Wisconsin. (And my collection doesn't go on the road without collectors plates. Big insurance break! Otherwise I can't afford to insure them.)

  • @lucass81 By the way, your GTV6 sounds really nasty!! Kinda like my black 164. I like it.

  • How about more videos of your GTV6?

  • @mycamp247 Anything specific you want to see, I'll do it. Just let me know. (It'll take a while 'cause our compy's on the fritz right now!)

  • @jpatt1000 I love to see & hear the car while you drive. I will make sure to let you know when I get mine to get your thoughts.

  • @mycamp247 Sure thing! If you have any rot that needs to be redone on the one you get, I'll shoot videos of whatever areas you need if you want to put it back the way the factory had it. That's the best part about having an unmolested and complete car. Helping others who want their's to be right make it that way.

  • nice car, compliment!

    leather, ronal, few lower: perfect

  • Congrats, beautiful car!

  • I've seen this car pounding around Oshvegas, absolutely beautiful specimen!

  • @ajD4bmw I try to get it out as often as I can and not keep it squirreled away in my garage. I should have it at Ardy and Ed's Thursday night and the South Park show on Sunday. I like to show it and tell people who want to know about it. (Maybe encouraging them to get one of there own!) Have I meet you out and about?

  • @jpatt1000

We've never met, I'm just a guy who happened to notice a sweet car from his home town on youtube lol.

  • What a great sample of a well-maintained and well-cared-for GTV6!

  • @96z28ss Thank you. To help keep it it shape, do you know where I can find a new coolant recovery bottle? Mine's cracked, and I really don't want to get the aluminum one from IAP. I want to keep it stock.

  • @jpatt1000 I just might have a spare ... let me dig around the garage and let you know ...

  • @96z28ss Thank you! I would appreciate that very much!

  • @jpatt1000 I just might have a spare. I'll have to dig around in my garage. I'll let you know ...

  • How is the low mileage accurate without speedometer operation?

  • @racingswim2006 The signal generator still puts out voltage, but sometimes the speedo needle itself will skip and jump around, other times it doen't move at all. Haven't had the unit apart yet, but it is something I will sort this winter. I know if you unplug the guage, nothing works, but lights work, and odometer turns.

  • @jpatt1000 Ah - I see. Fairly typical on the late model 3 wire senders. Very pretty car, color scheme is great

  • @racingswim2006 Saw your 164 video. My black 164 has the cat and rear silencer. I want to ditch the cat and replace it with a bolt in piece (so I can change it back if I don't like it). Does Stebro make one, or was their system completely different?

  • Ronal alloys, nice colour... lovely,

I prefer the stock exhaust though...

  • Comment removed

  • @alernest Most of it is stock, just an Ansa muffler. Doesn't really sound different, I just like the dual tips better. Do yoou know where I can get some center caps for my Ronals?

  • @jpatt1000

Not really... it's very difficult to get these wheels as it is. If I ever come across them I can let you know.

  • @alernest Thanks! It does seem that this style wheel is more common on cars with a four bolt pattern. I'll have to be sure to never curb the car!

  • Very nice GTV6 !! I wish my leather interior looked as new as yours :)

  • @MaffiaAlfista Yeah, I can't take credit for that. I was just lucky the origional owner never drove it. I only had 34,000 and change when I took charge of it in 2005! I DO however need a new coolant recovery bottle now as mine has split. I like the aluminum one IAP has, but I want an original plastic one. Know where I can score one?

  • @jpatt1000 highwoodalfa had expansion tanks for GTV6 before. But now they say "please ask" where the price used to be. So send an e-mail to them.

  • Ah well, there it is....!

Seems to run strong, very low mileage too!!!

Love the 164 too, excellent car!

  • @tomtom3245 Yeah, it runs strong but needs new rear shocks and a center exhaust pipe. (The cast one, your 75 probably has something similar) The 75 is cool as well, especially in silver. Happy Alfa Centannial!

  • @jpatt1000

My center exhaust's shot as well, I'm going for a CSC unit though I woulda loved a stainless Stebro!

Currently refurbishing rear calipers as one had seized.

Love the way you pronounce Luci del Bosco!

    Alfisti Saluti

  • @tomtom3245 Well, the 164 now needs an A/C compressor. I cant drive it until I replace it, but I'm getting ready to put a motor in my Datsun, so it will probably have to wait till spring.
