  • My son was out on his Green Machine every day when he first got it. Now it sits unused in the shed. They are great fun until the novelty wears off.

  • I find it funny how small the first kid is. Someone down our street has one of these and i can hardly ride it when the seats all the way back... i am 6ft 3 though...

  • i got this for christmas!

  • This thing needs a rack & pinion

  • huffy green machines are better.

  • huffy green machines are better.

  • when i watching this video i thinking at this... /watch?v=r1Pn-PvhY_0

  • were do you get this from?

  • Remove the plastic back whells

  • So kids must wear helmets on BigWheels and GreenMachines now,...WTF.

I challenge somebody to note one incident of a child getting a head injury on those things. You are only 6 inches from the ground. That is like wearing a life preserver while brushing your teeth.

  • @ohioplayerinva Big Wheels? No. Green Machines? Depends on the kid. Riding them in the 1970s, we watched kids banging their heads off the pavement almost daily. Once you get up a good amount of speed, and hit the spin, it really is uncontrollable -- which is the fun and the danger of it. As kids, we called it the Concussion Machine for a reason.

  • @TheHiltnerds I had one in the 70's as a kid and was wild on it on pavement. Never fell over nor witness any of my friends hit their heads. It was nothing but high speed fun.

  • @TheHiltnerds serious the only time u should need a helmet is when your riding a dirtbike or a fourwheeler

  • @ohioplayerinva Funny story. I almost lost my toe when I was a kid, riding my bigwheel.I wasn't wearing shoes or socks, and my left big toe got stuck in between the pedal.Unbeknownst to me, i pedaled with my right leg, toe got trapped in between the pedal and the housing, and my toe was severed to the bone. One piece of skin was holding my toe together, The force broke my toe also and left with a pool of blood and had to get 30 stitches when i was 6 years old. :/

  • @ohioplayerinva I so agree - i try not to laugh at the kids now a days but you could not pay me to wear a helmet i would have been banned from my Green Machine Club. Rule # 1 there are no helmets in the Green Machine Club Rule #2 There are NO helmets in the Green Machine Club !!

  • @ohioplayerinva The way I rode a Big Wheel back in the day, I wish I had a helmet and that my mom made me wear it.

  • @ohioplayerinva awesome comment!!! HAHAHAHAHA...

  • this toy promotes drifting lol do they make for adults

  • My friend he has huge hill by his house we go do it all the time on the green machine

  • When I was a kid I could split the tires all the time. Do the tires still split when you are 180-ing or 360-ing?

  • helmet?

  • go go go dady go gooooooooooooo

  • the kids got no skill, let dad drive it, he''ll show him how its done.

  • @RetroArcadia Keep in mind that at this point they have less than 5 minutes experience riding the Green Machine. They're all experts now.

  • @RetroArcadia there just kids who just got that

  • @RetroArcadia they are just kids trying it you have no skill at being nice

  • Rich kid big wheel

  • next generation of road kill......

  • im freakin getting 1 of the , AND IM 13 i want to mod it like the huffy slider guys

  • with great power comes great responsibility! hahaha

  • Where's Kyuss?

  • Cool. I remember these... they go quite a ways back don't they? A kid on our block had one when I was still young enough to be riding my "cheetah" in the mid to late 70's. My "cheetah" was one of the small company Big Wheel copies, but with superior quality that still didn't gain popularity. With a "real" front wheel (rubber tire, spokes), some metal frame work, it was slightly heavier but I always roasted the other kids top speeds. We still wanted the "Green Machine" though.

  • imagine if u put a motor on the and ud be all set LOL

  • I foresee a faceplant an a lot of tears in these kids future.

  • I had one when I was like 8 and now I'm 16. They brought them back again

  • go ride a bike, and leave this toy, this is just redicolous

  • @HSKshufle This is exactly the kind of thing someone says until they've ridden one.

  • @TheHiltnerds let people hate, im buying one of these

  • Kyuss is singing about this machine ? :)

  • f**king awesome wish they had that when i was 10 years younger

  • I had this when I was a kid. I never wore a helmet though. It was the greatest ride (until someone stole it) They need to make one for adults

  • @AbuBishir This one fits adults simply move the seat back. Also see the video how i cut my finger off with my kids green machine.

  • nice - if you build a high speed version for adults add an oil damper - like a shock absorber to stop sudden movements from potholes bricks etc it will allow you to turn at a controlled rate but will resist sudden big movements - the nice thing about this is that you can use it inside an aerodynamic body and the wheels dont stick out when you turn - in other words you dont need wheel arches so you body shell will have less drag

  • few might remember...there was also a red baron version they put out......same bike but red

  • I thought this was going to be a Kyuss video

  • A friend of mine had one of those. He also had a really steep driveway that we used to scream down and do giant 360 skids at the bottom. And we definately weren't wearing helmets. ;)

  • Wild Wacky Action Bike is cooler....

  • I remember being about 5 or 6 in the early '70's. Most of us had Big Wheels. But there was this one kid that lived in the neighborhood behind us who had Green Machine. It made our Big Wheels seem so....plain. LOL.

  • @firstmusic00 This was exactly my experience. And that one kid KNEW he had something special as we would line up just to watch him ride it.

  • @firstmusic00

LOL I was that kid!! Don't be hatin'!

  • @firstmusic00 Yep Same here!

  • I'm jealous!!! I wanna play

  • He's a natural :D

  • Green Machines couldn't generate the kind of speed Big Wheels could. They'e too bulky.

  • me and my friend saw one in someones trash that had a water tank on the back and it hooked to a watergun on the front

  • Really a Helmet im pretty sure u dont need a helmet on a little bike going 2 mph

  • aaaand they wear a helmet.....

  • now i want one.....

  • Why the hell are they wearing helmets? No kid in the 70's ever wore a helmet riding a big wheel or green machine!

  • I see some broken bones in the future

  • wonder how many ankle injuries accured because of that thing

  • all they needed was a freewheeling pedal system

  • those helmets are so stupid when do u land on the top of your head. and if u do land on it it breaks.

  • They should make like..A little bike like that where you can sit comfortably, and make it with a remote. Now that'd be fun!

  • @illmaticTKD These things came out WAY more than 9 years ago, buddy! That's hardly "back in the day"! lol

  • I had one a few years back wehen i was like 12. i fipped it a few times i went so fast lmao i miss it D:

  • if your really worried about his safety strip his helmet on right.

  • Had two of these wonderful machines when I was a child in the 70's. Absolutely loved them. My brother had the inferior Big Wheel, lol.

  • give them skateboards

  • you wasted 2:59 of my life !

  • put a motor in it

  • we didn't use helmets when I was a kid.

  • LOLGASM @ 2:54 =)

    Nice vid XD

  • Where the fuck was this when I was a kid!?

  • @DropDownLowrider Well, if you were a child of the70s, like I was, it was at the rich kid's house.

  • @TheHiltnerds there arent rich kids at my house we are all poor xD

  • @TheHiltnerds unless you kicked his ass and took it over to tommies house for the summer in 79....................just saying!

  • i have one and its awesome

  • it is actually a old thing. Anyway i tried it myself, and its FUN!!! :D great video

  • green machine my ass its a big wheel

  • @ilovekars Either you don't know what a Big Wheel is or you don't know what a Green Machine is. Comparing one to the other is like comparing a 1987 Ford Taurus to an Enzo Ferrari.

  • @ilovekars in its front wheel is text green machine

  • Dude, you gotta take the golf flag off the thing. It's swaying the center of gravity thats why his tires are coming of the ground like that. Also, whats with huge cracks in your street? Do you live in some post-apocalyptic world where nomadic gangs of bikers maraud your town streets? If so, you better REALLY take that flag off that thing. j/k I know its just slurry seal or something.

  • What's the difference between a Green Machine and a Rip Rider?

  • Just passing a memory..My friend dared me to go down the highest hill in town (4 blocks down hill with 2 flat cross streets!) and being the daredevil i was i did it,By the time i got to the second street i was going so fast that the front wheel where the shaft went thru the center of the wheel it started to wear away the plastic(i could smell the plastic) went into a silly spin flipped over ripped off my shirt and gave me massive roadrash!! I made some firends that day and scared a few away LOL

  • google Tri-ton for the adult sized trike like this.

  • SHEEET BRINGS BACK MEMORIES!! USED TO HAVE ONE OF THESE!!

  • in italy there aren't these things...WHY?! :(

  • Back in the 70's if you're parents really and truly loved you (and weren't broke-ass like mine)...you had one of these.

  • i used to have one, but its back wheels split right down the middle and i ended up throwing it away, the thing was a total peice of crap

  • My first time seeing one in my entire life was in Toys R Us yesterday and they are on sale for $79. I was going to buy a bike but I just have to have one! They go up to 180lbs now!

  • At 2:25 it seems that the little girl has been doin some pretty mad skids. Needs a mini spool or somethin though. Only got 1 wheel going. Good job to her though!

  • I always thought that these were cool..even in the 70's...but they need to make them out of aluminum, stick a Briggs and Stratton on them and let em fly!!

  • I wish that I would have saved mine. The Big Wheel has nothing on the Green Machine. Kids today don"t know about all the fun my generation had with it. We would do 360's all day long.....what fun memories!

  • @juannation213 It's not too late. You can still buy them on Amazon.

  • @TheHiltnerds Can you fit an adult in one? I guess I'm not technically an adult, but I'm about 6'1

  • @soul111smasher I think you might be pushing it. If you watch to the end of the video when I'm riding it, you can see I'm using pretty much all the room that exists and I'm 5'9". I think you *could* ride it, but your knees would be bent pretty high. Also note: I think it's rated to 170 - 180 pounds. I don't know whether that would apply to you or not.

  • @TheHiltnerds Ah ok, thanks. Haha yeah thats me out, I'm not a skinny guy. Not fat, just got broad shoulders and solid build. I'm thinking huffy slider now anyway, seen some guys on youtube doing some pretty serious stuff downhill stuff with those. Thanks again

  • ive has a go on one very similar they are sooooo hard to ride properly and turn gentally so bad than i trashed the bike part of the store i was working in :) as i knocked over a stall

  • 1:18 Wow! That was so cool!

  • did i see that right? looks like the front wheel / cranks has a freewheel

  • my brothers had one when the came out in the late 70's so by time I was old enough to use it, it was tore up:(

  • i got 1 of these but all i do is fly down a hill and topple like 20 times at the bottom :)

  • Cool

  • pethetic i have one too and i can a 360°

  • wow he spins it i flip the green machine

  • hey i was wondering do you think a 13 year old and his friends could use one of these?

  • @IamOver18SoHa Absolutely. They are rated up to 170 pounds.

  • @TheHiltnerds where do yøu get the

can i get em in canda

  • @weeeeee831 They are for sale on Amazon's website for about $100.00

  • @TheHiltnerds i modded mine up with a lawn mower engine :D

  • @IamOver18SoHa yeah but me & my mates topple over alot

  • @IamOver18SoHa hell i'm 19 and i love them i haven't riden one in years but theyre fun.

  • When I was younger, I always really wanted one of these.. Too bad my parents never bought me one! D: Afraid I'd hurt myself I think..

Maybe I should buy one now! :) I'm only 17, it can't hurt, right?

  • @theddrmaster Any pain you might feel will be offset by the awesomeness of owning one.

  • @theddrmaster yeah i remember i had one but it was different it had handelbars instead of joysticks but it was green and made by huffy and said green machine JR. on it.

  • I'm now gonna get a green machine for my kids. When I have them. They'll be the....I don't wanna say coolest, but it'll be fun to watch them power slide like maniacs.

  • @COD4Mixer Get it now! I bought mine and just kept it in storage for almost 5 years until my son was old enough to ride it. If there are no more Green Machines by the time you have kids, you'll regret it.

  • i used to have one back in the day =[

i had got mine for $115

that was like when it first came out 6 or 8 maybe 9 years ago

  • me and my friend would be able to do a full spin a round he had the old one and the new one

  • I split mine into 2 pieces. lol And They are right you never, ever ride a GM with a helmet. Getting hurt was half the fun. Biggest hill you can find and get ya big cousin to push you = near death expierence! Man those were the days! lol

    I'm gonna get one!

  • I have 1 of thoes!!!

  • i know its fun but i would want to put a motor on that becus it would be fun drifting

  • @Keenshane72 oh hell yeah lol that would be soo awesome

  • Gosh! I wish I had one of those when I was a kid! Even now the old geezer that I am, I would love to hit the road on the Green Machine!

  • @tonythetemplar Trust me, I didn't buy this exclusively for my children. I never had one when I was a kid, so I used my children to relive my own childhood.

  • @TheHiltnerds lol

  • @TheHiltnerds haha ur like my dad

  • i used to have one of those when i was a kid... 26 years ago!! it looks the same, but it seems they've made a few adjustments to the design. i would love to buy myself a new one...

  • @randomcrazyfun76 Well worth the money if you dreamed of them from years gone by -- that was my motivation for picking one up.

  • @TheHiltnerds

Hey i was wondering how much they are, because someone i know said he got his for £10. But i looked around and the prices were ranging from £100 - £200.

  • @ScYsCrApA2 I know I paid over $100 for mine. If you can get one for $10, you should buy one for every kid in the neighborhood.

  • i would get on it look at you i see how far i can get befor you catch me hahaha

  • Lol, I had one of these over 30 years ago. Didn't know they were making them again. Cool

  • Looks like fun - I want one!

  • that helmets not gonna save him, its far too looose

  • @p3x197 I'm not too concerned there. That's only my nephew...

  • @TheHiltnerds Haha lol, only my nephews lol

  • @TheHiltnerds Haha lol, only my nephews lol

  • @TheHiltnerds ROFL XD

  • @p3x197 o yah hes gonna get goin 60 mph and go over his bars. its not gonna matter if he falls

  • @p3x197

    you smeghead - i hope you're joking.

  • that helmets not gonna save him, its far too looose

  • jovicakluk i think you were just poor so dont make fun of this kid

  • kid looks like a spoilt little brat, i wish o had a bike when i was little .

  • Maybe if you hadn't called the other kids 'spoilt little brats' when you were little, they would have let you ride theirs...

  • see ow the third kid almost fliped weelll i completed the sequence

  • I've got the razor trike in my shed, brings back memories watching this(:

  • Ha Ha I remember those from Australia in the 1970's.

    Great fun!

  • Wow! Blast from the past.

  • wher did you get it

    PLEASE PEPLY

  • I bought it at Toys 'R Us in 2001 when my son was first born.

  • thanks but do u know if they still have them because my sin wants 1 terribly

  • I don't know that you can find the model above anywhere anymore, but Amazon's website has the model 2 for sale for a little over $100.

  • thanks my sons going to llove it

  • Should've bought a pocket bike. Hahhahaha

  • That's like comparing apples to oranges.

  • Er, yeah... Big Wheels rather than Hot Wheels. My bad.

  • Oh sure, some look at it and go "Geez, just get a go-cart or something". These came out when every kid in the neighborhood had Hotwheel trikes. Then, here comes you pulling up to your friends in a comparitively pimped-out speed ride with a hinged frame and skidsteer controls (meaning turning didn't bury your feet under your pedals) a powerbrake, and a tiltback seating setup that gave you a lot more leg room to power-pedal. You won every race hands-down as well as being winner in show.

  • @mooby235 -- I know what you're saying. I was the kid in the 1970s who only got to envy the one kid in the neighborhood who had one.

When they reissued them in the 2000s, I knew my children would not live without one.

  • YOURE A GREAT DAD :( my dad sucks dont let me buy those things even a PS3

    -.-

  • @DrAgOnBoY63 -- I would be lying if I didn't admit I kind of got it for myself as well.

  • hell ya

  • a mini van drifts better than that

  • Perhaps, but I don't let my kids drive a minivan in this way...

  • y was it only about to tip on that 1 kid only

  • Two reasons: First, it takes a while to get used to the turning for some people.

Second, in some of the video, the back wheels were over-tightened to the frame which tends to make it tip more than make it slide.

  • go on a winding road and it will work

  • PIMP MY BICYCLE

  • hahaha everytime i tried to powerslide on a green machine it would flip me and would land on me

  • thats one pimped out tricycle :P

  • Its un-American to wear a helmet with a Green Machine!!! Lose the helmet, build a ramp and try to get airborne!!

  • Where were you in the 70s when getting a Green Machine on your birthday guaranteed a trip to the emergency room to get your concussion treated within 24 hours? At least, that's how it was in my neighborhood.

And now that I'm the one paying the health care deductibles....

  • Why are the kids wearing helmets when YOU drive the green machine without one???

  • Because they are much smarter than I am.

  • YEH IT IS

  • what about one with gears???

  • Wait, you want children to drive *faster* on one of these!?!?

  • its really called a green machine if u go into the shop and ask

  • is it actually called the green machine or are u just calling it that

  • yes its called that it even says on the wheel and seat

  • yes they are called that. i had one before
