Hello there . I need your help . I just upgraded Vista Home 64-Bit to Window 7 Home Premium 64-Bit and it could't detect my graphic card . So i downloaded the driver installation . After the installation the graphic was back to normal except for some button on web browser and Msn emoticon . By the way im using NVIDIA GeForce GT230 . Thermal Paste is to transport heat .. why shouldnt it work ?

trust me if put Ive accidentally put thermal grease on the pins of processors, dims of pci cards and all over the motherboard

thermal grease is not conductive it doesn't short anything but if you do get some on the contacts wipe as much as you can as it could possibly block the contacts from electrical transference.

no im saying take off the plastic cover and keep the heatsink and fan on. Is it possible without breaking it? thats all i want to know because I have another fan blowing air on the cards. I figure if this hits the heatsink directly then I can get a cooler result.

i think because it's summer the outside temp is about 38C-42C and my graphic card

ATIx1950pro get's wormed up and reaches almost 94C (as shown in catalyst)and crashes very often when i play high req games.This problem had begun when the wheather wormed up.what should i do?thanks for watching my stupid question.

Get more fresh air inside the case. The best would be one in the side panel directly pointing to graphics card.

no galvanic response problem ... just use anti corrosion fluid and everything is fine. Furthermore all alu blocks are anodized to prevent corrosion

watercooling is better than air cooling. Normally you can do more overclocking when using better cooling. So your graphic crad will run faster when overclocked.

yes unique coolers if we talk on high end cards. on mid range cards you can cool GPU only, then it is changeable
