I hate this version of Romeo and Juliet.! Fighting with guns...escaping on a car....Prince Escalus looks like a police officer....this just "destroys" the beauty of the literature in the play!

One thing I find interesting is that while romeo compares Juliet to the sun, saying it should always be day, Juliet wishes for Romeo to be made into stars so that no one wants day and always night. It kind of shows how they are separated like day and night because of their families. Just thought of that.

This acting is so genuine, it's simply amazing.

This would have to be the best film on this composition simply because there is more raw emotion portrayed.

My group is doing Romeo & Juliet for our A Level assessment, but it's a shortened version so it's missing the majority of the good lines including my personal favourite by Lady Capulet "Romeo slew Tybalt, Romeo must not live!"

I tried to get my group to add it in but they refused; I don't think they understand how significant and emotional a line it really is.
