Yeah, I remember. They even had to do some border jump test before they were allowed to go into the Bean Bean Kingdom. Sure, Mario is more famous for his jumps, but that doesn't change the fact that Sonic makes bigger jumps in most of his games. Especially when he puts his speed into it.
